This site has resin dye already formulated for Caucasian, Native American and African American skin( I think) tones already~ http://www.hobbyengineering.com/H1153.html
Thanks, ecchan, but I'm looking for primary colors. I want to make wings for my YO SD and would love to have colors, not white.
If you look around the site, they have other tints. They sell Aluminite resin, so you might want to search the offical site too. I just posted the link I had in my favorites ^^;
smoothon.com has tints... you might need to get a specific tint for specific resins, I'm not sure if they work cross the board. I have brown, red, yellow and blue. Each tint is about $10 a bottle, but you need just a little bit of dye to make colors. To make bastian's head, which is fairly pale, I use one full drop of yellow, 1/4 drop of brown, and just about 1/8th a drop of red. I put a full drop onto a straw that's been cut into a ">" shape on the end and dip that into my resin till I get as much dye as I want. The COOLEST thing tho is the pearl powders from Smoothon. I got some silver and it's a great effect! They're only $2 for a vial of them. You take a paint brush and dry brush them on the inside of your mold(or you can mix it into the resin itself before casting) and once you cast the pearl powder is adhered permenantly to your resin, making it sparkly! I DID try to rub the dye on the cured resin to see if that might be an option to dye parts... and no dice. :{ It does the same thing as anything else, comes off with acetone and is blotchy.
