I've been working on props for a tiny house for a while. But now I have the wall and floor pieces going, it's time to go full steam ahead. I've gone ahead and painted the floor my usual dark redwood colour and I've begun 3D sculpting the other pieces. Tonight I have done the door and frame, baseboards and wood panelling, made a table and redone the windows. I have chosen this skull print for the living room wallpaper, which i pick up from the printer tomorrow. Things I have already made are this Coffin coffee table and fire place. Here is my Island doll Lenore, Lily for scale. I am hoping to have the majority of this done before October's Halloween meet up so I can have a tiny Halloween party.
Holy cow! You designed and made all of that? HighPriestessIce, you are brilliant! Can’t wait to see it all when you are done.
I made 2 more items for the living room. A haunted mirror and a real working lamp. Edit: smaller lamp pictures. Thank you! Thank you! I can't wait to finish it!
I was already blown away, and then you made a working lamp? Mind. Blown. (I do not understand electronics. At all.) This is amazing. Your painting is beautifully realistic, too. I never would have guessed it wasn't wood.
The wallpaper is up! Next I'll be printing the window, baseboards and bottom wood panels. In preparation for the other half of the room, I have sculpted couch and chair frames. I have to decided on the colour of velvet for the cushions still. Who am I kidding? It'll probably be black. Thank you! Thank you. The lamp was actually pretty simple, I used fairy lights. The kind that's uncoated wire can be cut to any bulb and still work harmlessly.
This is so cool! It makes me think of Christine McConnell if she was a doll person. This makes me want to work on a diorama now. Thank you for the motivation!!
A couple updates, the 2nd quarter floor is painted and walls papered, 2 more to go. This is where I'm going to have the fireplace and I definitely want some kind of painting above it. While I am waiting on my saw blades to arrive so I can cut a door on the next panel, I've decided this is more than a room box. It's gonna be a full house with 2nd floor for bedrooms. So I spent the night sculpting a staircase up to the 2nd floor. I'm unsure if I'm just going to have a plain wall in the stairwell as it is now, or if I want to have a cupboard under the stairs. Thank you! You should totally work on a diorama, they're so much fun!
My stair and floor plan just made a hard left turn. I got it in my head that I needed an under the stairs reading nook. So here it is complete with shelves and drawers. I will have to design a window for it next. 3D animated look at all angles: https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/i/Allhallowsqueen13/animation_Glorious_Habbi-Migelo(1).gif I have decided the current room is the rec room. So here's the pool table.
The window was modelled for the reading nook. Now I have to redesign windows for the rest of the house to match.
