Aesthetics Third BJD Faceup

    1. Hi there! This is my third BJD Faceup. I did it on my DF-H Yue Jian. I think he turned out okay, but I was wondering what I could do to make the eyebrows look better. I am currently using watercolor pencils, gouache, and soft pastels. Thanks for any feedback![​IMG]

    2. For the eyebrows, I've found lightly sketching them out with watercolour pencil, filling them in with a bit of pastel and using an eraser to shape them works best. I then seal and add some thin painted hairs on top for detail. It's good to reference in what direction the little hairs grow - usually brows go outwards from the middle like \\\\\\ ///////, looks like yours are going in the opposite direction /////// \\\\\\\\ which makes them appear a little unnatural.

      The rest of the faceup looks great though! I love the freckles and how you've added some colder tones to the blushing, looks a lot like real skin.
