Things that annoy you... *Rant Thread*

Dec 11, 2014

    1. Okay, I know this might be a touchy subject, but it doesn't have to be. I'm not trying to point fingers or bring anyone down, I just wanted to make a thread where people can rant about issues they find irk/annoy them in the hobby in general, just to let it out! If this type of thing isn't allowed, then I apologise :P Please delete if necessary.

      I'll start:

#1: When people don't mark their items as sold/gone. :...(:doh To me, it is the worst feeling in the world when you find something available, contact the seller, only to find out it is already sold a long time ago :x

#2: Pictures of dolls taken from a bottom angle, so that the dolls look thrown across the room, no effort given. Example demonstrated by Nova, my Minifee:

I'm sorry you had to see her like this :') Very very unappealing, when it should be like this:

So, what irks you in the hobby/ community? You can always come back and share more when you come across something you wanna rant about, lol! ;) But be nice and no finger-pointing!

    2. W00t, a hobby pet peeves thread, I've been needing one of those:P I think there's already a "what annoys you" thread about the dolls specifically, I hope this one stays up though. My pet peeves (somehow that sounds kinder than annoyances) are mostly marketplace related:

-sales threads with photos that tell you absolutely nothing about what the doll looks like, whether those are artsy angled photoshopped shots or (worse) one tiny shot of the whole doll at an angle with clothes and wigs in the way or something else. Closeups of the face with a wig consistently hiding the eyebrows or even more of the faceup frustrate me too.

-sales threads with "pics to follow shortly/in the next 24 hours/soon" instead of actual pictures, I just don't see the point, nobody is going to express interest in your doll if they can't see what they buy, so why not just wait and put the whole thread up when you also have the pics available?

-people that make their buyers pay paypal fees, especially when they're being rude about it

-ridiculous markups on secondhand dolls and parts

-the tendency of more and more companies to switch to environmentally friendly/semi-translucent resin, I don't like the stuff

-expensive, sophistically engineered dolls that can't properly sit or stand=_=

-the fact that every little doll related thing costs so much money to get and needs to come off the internet (or I can go to the dealer shop I am lucky enough to have in my city, but they don't carry everything and what they do carry understandably has shipping and paypal fees calculated into the price already so it's not exactly cheaper).

-the fact that this hobby is so hard to share with and misunderstood by non-doll people>_<.

      • x 1
    3. Oh I definitely have a few annoyances, although some of them can't be helped (by the way, Nova is very lovely Chamillia :))

      - When people post photos of dolls with their eyes positioned too low, leading to that eerie staring expression

      - The fact that most fantasy dolls are limited, which is sad because I am only collecting elves :(

      - The hateful, whiny doll owners in tumblr and their "anonymous confession blogs" (a.k.a. using anonymous confessions to insult and bully real life people and dictate what other people should be doing with their dolls)

      - Yellowing

      - And basically what ShuriTigerH said about everything doll-related being so expensive X_X Although it's the shipping costs that kill me, ouch

      • x 2
    4. - Bullies in the hobby. It's always the "anonymous" person. While I haven't been bothered, if I ever am, I dare that person to make a video of themselves spitting off their insults so I can tear into them.

      • x 4
    5. - Perfect sculpts for your characters coming in the wrong sizes OTL

      • x 6
    6. The only rant I have and it may seem insignificant to a lot of people: but, I just really get irritated when a BJD comes to me (from the company) with the stringing either so tight they can't stand without legs flying up, or so loose they can't sit. Why not take the time to do it right? I just don't get it.

Also it is my understanding with paypal that asking for your buyer to pay fees is against their policy. Sending a payment as a gift when its something you purchased is also against policy.

I don't like yellowing either. I was at a doll show recently and saw a doll I really wanted, but it had yellowed so much it looked just awful. I am not sure I have ever seen a doll that yellow.

      • x 1
    7. ^ This so much!

In addition: when companies don't list the neck size within a doll's measurements! That one drives me round the bend... Luts, I'm looking a you :vein

      • x 1
    8. dolls measurements only given in inches... just bothers me a bit

      • x 2
    9. ^ That too! It's so hard to make hybrids without neck measurements!

    10. I do have a couple of things that really irritate me.
Like you said, when people don't mark things as sold then take a week to get back to you with 'sorry that sold ages ago'
Charging paypal fees (against paypal rules) but I am noticing more and more sales threads are doing it.
And my really big irritation at the moment. Not leaving feedback for a sale, I have been a good customer, paid promptly etc and then ....nothing. I even had someone ask that I leave good feedback for them but they didn't do it for me.

      • x 1
    11. I 100% agree with this! I always make sure to leave feedback for sellers. It sucks when they can't seem to be bothered to return the favor :S

    12. When a doll you like is really obscure, so it's hard to find owner pictures. :(

      • x 6
    13. My hobby pet peeves are mostly about whiny people who complain about every little thing that they perceive is wrong such as:
      -The high price of BJDs,
-The high price of shipping BJDs
-The color of the freebie eyes that come with the doll
      -Whining about yellowing
      - Having to pay the Paypal Fees.
-The doll that they want is a limited and can't get it.
-The Doll they want is nearly perfect but for one small detail.
-Clothing /shoe/wig/eye sizes and a price of them.
-Wrong resin shade when ordering within the same company(especially when the company tells/warn you very clearly on their site that the resin color varies from batch to batch.)
      -The seams on a doll....
-Receiving a "Dirty" second hand doll. (like something that can be just washed off with soap and water.)

I think that is most of them, annoying doll collectors who whine about every little thing. An attitude of Entitlement does not make you or your doll very appealing.

And as a seller: Buyers who leave you bad feedback for a the tiniest fault in a doll-part that is barely noticeable and then complaining to paypal to scam your money out from under you. especially when it was something that wasn't there when you had it before. (scam artists)

People who publicly defend BJD Recasts. (throw them in the pit)

      • x 3
    14. The fact that so many clothes companies will only make clothes for one size, which is typically SD. I LOVE some of the really detailed fantasy clothes, but they only ever seem to come in SD sizes or as parts of full-sets I could never afford.

    15. @Elysion gear: Just wondering...did you read all the above posts just to complain about everyone here? O_O Wouldn't that make you one of the 'whiny people' just like the rest of us if every single one of the things you mentioned bothers you that much? If you didn't mean it that way, I apologize.

      • x 3
    16. NocturnalMelody: No I didn't really read anyone's posts, I'm just mentioning my pet peeves of the hobby. Most of it concerns how often I see other people voicing their complaints over minor issues. If they feel that they must voice their frustrations then why shouldn't I?

I thought that this was a rant thread in which we would get to rant about anything that bothers us without being drawn into a big discussion about it.

    17. Okay, I wasn't aware you didn't read the thread and I'm sorry for assuming then :)

    18. No problem, I read this thread as an invitation to post a comment about one's personal opinion. As Personal Opinions differs from person to person, I thought that should other people read it they would be mature enough to recognize that and respect another's opinion... ^^;;

    19. A few for me:

When people post really really dark pictures or pictures that aren't even in focus. What are we supposed to be looking at here? How about turning on a light? A lamp? The flash?

When dolls have wonky eyes. The owner took all the effort to dress their doll and bring it out for a shoot but didn't bother with the eyes. It gives me a headache looking at them and turns me off from the doll. This is especially annoying if the doll was shot professionally. (cough Peakswoods cough)

When people go into the waiting room and post what they bought but goes away and never comes back to update. This makes the rest of the people really nervous and wonder if there's a problem on the company's side.

When companies don't post important measurements like neck sizes, head sizes or eye sizes....or they don't even bother to post new measurements for their new body. (cough Soom cough)

When the size of the wigs listed don't fit the size of the head they're listed for. (cough Iple cough)

      • x 1
    20. Dirty dolls annoy me as much as dirty children. lol
Wigs that are suppose to be a brown color but look red in sunlight. I'm looking at you, Monique Gold..... hahaha....
Snake tail photos next to cute doll photos, ruins the cute dolls for me.
      Derpy eyes
Dolls without underpants or socks. I know, I know they are dolls and don't need them, but, it still bothers me.

      • x 1
    21. The mean people who use those confession blogs on tumblr to be bullies and make the hobby members seem horribly unfriendly.

      • x 3
    22. Pet peeves/rant:
When someone is on a waiting list but doesn't enter delivery dates.
When something on the MP get's sold but isn't removed from the MP. It may seem like a pain to do but it is part of the whole deal.
Forgetting to do feedback, if you can't think of anything, look at other's feedback pick one that sounds right then copy/paste - how hard it that?
      I think that's it.:)

    23. When a seller doesn't respond to an offer to buy an item, and still bumps the sales thread. (This only happened to me once, but still.) I realize people can sell or not sell to whoever they want, but I'm not sure why someone would ignore an offer. I know to avoid that person's sales threads in the future, anyway.

Also, as others have said, sales threads with grainy, small, or poorly-lit photos.

      • x 1
    24. What annoys me is when I find pretty fabric, but have to buy more of it than I need because the store don't sell smaller cuts XD

      • x 3
    25. Oooh, rant thread! Fun stuff :)

-Finding the perfect sculpt for a character and then realising it's the wrong size
-The same for clothes, I can only ever find what I need for my big dolls in Minifee size and vice versa
-Like a lot of other people: graveyarding sold stuff and also removing sold items from ongoing threads (thankfully the mods are keeping a very good eye out for those, thank you mods!)
-Paypal fees. They are not, nor will they ever be, the buyer's responsibility
-Insane markup prices on second hand dolls, in particular ones that aren't even limited (Fairyland, grrr!)
-Wonkily positioned eyes, or eyes that let in no light and therefore make the eye sockets look like dark holes (unless this is intentional, of course)
-Wigs where one or two hairs keep falling in front of the face while taking pictures (and flyaways, aaah!)
-Anonymous or otherwise slanting of other hobbyists and/or their dolls. Be nice!
-Like has been mentioned, I really don't see the point of a sales thread with no pictures or 'pics coming soon', but if anyone can explain this phenomenon to me, please do!

      • x 2
    26. This is what the thread should be about! :thumbup

Haha, thank you so much! :D

This. So much this. Why bother posting the picture when it's not something you're proud of or something remotely appealing? I always make sure the pictures I post of my dolls are always ones where they're looking their best, because no one wants to see bad pictures :(

Dirty children xD haha, this made me laugh! And that sock/underwear thing has got to be the weirdest pet peeve :P But you're right, I sometimes feel kinda weird when dressing my doll in some outfit and realising she has no underwear on.. it looks uncomfortable so I feel uncomfortable myself

Again, about the photos. People don't realise this but the sales photos play a huge part in selling a doll or item. This applies to everything, not just in the doll hobby as well. If you capture beautiful photos for your ads, it will encourage people to look and consider buying it. People love good photographs ;) As a blogger, I noticed that nowadays, most blogs are about the photos, not so much the writing, and the most popular successful ones are those who's pictures speak the words, beautifully edited and just plain fun to look at! Why is the doll hobby any different? They are in the end, dolls that are supposed to look aesthetically gorgeous, they surely must be represented much better than, let's say, a picture of a coffee cup on Instagram :P

Oh yes, also when you find one with an amazing pattern, but realising that it is wayyy too big to be used as a doll outfit, because it will get cut off and basically not show at all xD

    27. I haven't been around bjd land enough to have many yet - but the ones I know from my off-topic dolls are:
      1. Poorly lit or unfocussed photos! (Mostly in the sales context.)
      2. Sellers not giving basic info on their items or not answering direct questions!!

      • x 1
    28. ^^ I have a few...

~ Anonymous hate on "bjd confession blogs" and bullying

~ Seeing people who have their dolls displayed in front of a window without any curtain... Not just for a brief moment but as a way too store their dolls. (I'm so afraid my doll turning yellow I keep her in a box in my closet with the doors shut...)

~ People who get angry and are very outspoken about people who sell their dolls easily, It's not your decision... If someone is unhappy with their doll it's their choice too sell and not yours. Please keep in mind that they are human beings, don't judge them only based on how many dolls they've bought and sold!

~ People not responding to sale, GO, etc threads. (especially if you Pm'ed them a second time too make sure if they got your message... it's their responsibility as a seller.)

~ People who can't handle seeing a naked picture of a doll...

^-^ i'm sorry if you feel addressed but these are just some things that i personally disagree with...

      • x 1
    29. The manic murder doll eyes.

The Chelsea grin I get commissioned to mod a lot. Chelsea grins are very traumatizing and painful to live with. I don't know why you would want that for a doll you love. .....and usually it's for a slightly cringe worthy OC doll. Like a dark elf uke slave with telekinetic powers or some such. Luckily the one's I'm doing now have real backstories and the grins make sense. But I'd really love to do something besides that one specific horror mod.

    30. As a noob I hate when listings cite a selection of dolls that the item fits because if I have even heard of the particular doll I have no idea of their measurements. So it's Google time. What's wrong with "these trousers have a 25cm waist and are 29cm long"?? Sure, list which dolls they fit but for those of us working from the manufacturer's measurements that's like me offering to sell you a pair of jeans with "well they fit me" as the size!

I feel the same way about human clothes though.

      • x 3
    31. "#1: When people don't mark their items as sold/gone. :...(:doh To me, it is the worst feeling in the world when you find something available, contact the seller, only to find out it is already sold a long time ago :x"

definitely one of my biggest peeves too.
if it's been sold very recently, I can understand. you were busy preparing the doll for shipment and maybe also fixing the last few details with the buyer and you forgot to edit your thread. that's fine.
but it's happened to me once that the doll had been sold nearly a year ago! D8< in that specific case the person didn't even bother to take down the sale after telling me it was sold. wtf!

      - people who don't write what mold/body their doll is in the picture description.
      - crochet summer dresses and crochet bikinis. I admire your crocheting talent, but that just looks weird.
      - sites that have very vague size reference for the clothes they sell. I've encountered a few sites who list many dolls who are very roughly similar in size (ex: all slim-ish MSD), but not quite enough to share clothes properly. it's ok for T-shirts because even if it's a bit more loose or long it still works fine, but not so much for jeans :/
      - speaking of trousers : when sellers put a long shirt that covers the top part. if I can't see how it fits at the waist, I'm not buying! it might be too low, too high, too loose or just poorly put together. I need to see the whole thing!

      • x 3
    32. So many sales related things :o

I'm most frustrated by not being able to get hold of a sculpt, once I have managed to find one that fits my character. I'm very picky when it comes to body types / height, and as much as I love Iple, their determination to only sell their dolls as a whole can get annoying. I'd love to be able to buy a head and find a different body for it if none of Iple's bodies fits the OC in question, without needing to go through splits. (Don't get me wrong, I already own 2 SID girls, 1 EID and nYID girl each, and an SID man and I'm happy with their bodies, but I need one girl to be a bit slimmer and one guy to be less muscly yet the same height as the SID) ... yeah. First world dolly problems.

And the size thing. Don't get me started on the size thing. Why oh why can't there be mature male sculpts that don't need a 70cm or taller body? :sigh

      • x 1
    33. I'll echo the confessional/bullying/general nastiness blogs. Why be so down on other people? If we all had the same taste and liked the same things, it would get really boring after awhile. I love seeing everyone's dolls, even if they're not ones I would get, and what they do with them.

People defending recasts. Seriously, it's wrong. Period. I know how I'd feel if someone took one of my original (OT) dolls and started selling copies. :(

My one little gripe - finding clothes for small dolls that aren't styled for toddlers or small children. A lot of them are as cute as cute can be, but all my small doll characters are adults - or ageless, anyway.

      • x 4
    34. When I look over at the shelf and see half of my dolls are sitting in the way Nova demonstrated in the first post :|

When I see people complaining about drama and elitism in the hobby all the time--seriously, where are these people hanging out? Can't they just avoid places/situations full of drama? On the other hand, I think some people just attract drama to themselves, either in the way they treat others, the company they keep, or the way they perceive neutral situations.

When I want to compare doll measurements, but no two sources list the same information... One will include the length of the back, and the other wont, one will list the arm length and the other wont, etc.

      • x 2
    35. The one main peeve I have is the way overpriced secondhand dolls. I see this a lot, and it really bugs me. But that's pretty much it.
I do find it a bit odd that bjd clothes are as expensive as regular people clothes, but I guess the price is because of the time and attention to detail it takes to make these clothes. :)

      • x 1
    36. Sellers acting like they're interested in your offers, and stay online while you wait for the better part of the day only to tell you that they sold it to someone else... During my MSD search prior to getting Noah this year, I had a seller do that to me and it hurt... A LOT I know they're not obligated to do trades but at least say: "Sorry I'm only interested in selling the doll not trading." don't act like your interested and then make me wait all day.

      • x 1
    37. My biggest annoyance: spending weeks making a wig for my doll only for it to slide right off her head every time I put it on her. Guess I need to get my hands on some velcro, or maybe double-sided tape....Oh well, lol.

      • x 1
    38. Woah, there's a lot of marketplace-related rant in this thread!

For me it's mostly the dolls themselves, like posing problems or messing up face-ups and having to redo them.

But I second the lack of feedback. Especially nowadays you have to trust a buyer/seller, so to build said trust everyone should take a few minutes. ^^

    39. My biggest peeve, is finally finishing that super awesome face-up...
...and then promptly mangling it somewhere, when I go to stick the wig on.
      sobs!!

      But I've no one to blame but myself for that one, being clumsy. x.x;

    40. My one peeve, I can't see that anyone has mentioned it so perhaps it only bothers me, but it's sellers who use 'Full Set' in their title though actually they have dressed and wigged the doll in clothes that are not the 'full set' at all.
Then sellers who offer 'random' wig, eyes etc. Please I just want to know what I am buying

      • x 1
    41. For me it has to be import charges. There is no shop in Ireland (that I have managed to find, and I have looked) that sells my favourite Iplehouse so I have no choice but to buy directly from the company or on the secondary market. The import duties are very high and I usually wind up having to take time off work to go and pay the duties and collect the parcel. If it goes over a certain value I also have to go and get import documentation and that takes even more time and money. It takes the edge off the excitement of receiving the doll. On eBay there is the Global Shipping option on some auction items so the import duties and documentation are handled by a shipping company before delivery, I would love to see that option available on the companies websites, take the worry out of buying the dolls.

    42. Some things that annoy me...

-When you buy something for a particular doll, and it doesn't fit right.
-When I smudge the watercolor pencil when I'm doing a tattoo on a doll, and I can't remove all of the smudge because it will ruin the design and make it look worse.
-It's been said multiple times already but the bullying on anon confession blogs. There is no need to point someone out just to say their dolls are ugly or that they take repetitive doll pictures. Let's focus on what we like and have in common instead.
-When you're about to take that perfect picture, and your doll falls over as you're taking the shot.
-Lastly, not having enough money to buy all of the dolls I want XD

      • x 1
    43. I wish that when I send a polite inquiry about a sales thread, the seller would reply to me! Even if it is only to say, "The item has been sold" or "no thank you".

When I post a WTB and someone sends me an offer, I get annoyed when I reply to them and then they ignore me and don't even say thank you.

And it's been said a million times... Paypal fees. If I'm buying, they're not my responsibility.

You're not alone, I'll second that!!

      Linda S.

    44. I have to agree with pretty much everything in this thread! Not sure if that is a good thing or not>.>. A few more:

-after having this happen to me 3 times in one week: people who contact me all enthusiastically wanting to buy something I have for sale and wanting to know the shipping, I reply and then it's "oops, can't afford it after all/lost interest, sorry", and sometimes I have to poke them before they reply at all. I get that money is tight, mine is too, but please just make sure that you have the money on hand or at least know you're going to be able to keep a layaway commitment, it saves both you and your seller so much disappointment

-trying to find clothes that fit my Doll Chateau adult-01 girl=_=

-companies that give away heads or faceplates with their events but refuse to sell their bodies separately (that means you, Fairyland)

-so many companies making shoes that only fit high heeled feet but hardly any company selling said feet separately

      • x 1
    45. Hee hee, some of these really made me laugh.

My biggest gripe is a thankfully rare type of DOA member who contacts you about the doll you have for sale, they act all keen, ask a million questions and then head on over to your Flickr account as though they are in a sweet shop and start picking out other items you own to see if they can brow beat you into adding those into the sales price when they aren't even for sale. I just find that rude beyond belief and it has happened to me more than once.

The whole "Pay me the full original price I paid for this doll I immediately regretted buying and I also expect you to reimburse me the shipping charge/Customs Tax I had to fork out to get this doll I bought on a whim... AND ... you know what - pay me the bl**dy Paypal fees too while you are at it!" attitude of some sales threads on the completely FREE market place! Needless to say, I just avoid those.

Mostly though, I think a lot of the size, price, measurements issues are just part and parcel of being involved with BJDs and don't bother me too much... small price to pay for all the eye candy ;)

      • x 2
    46. Haha, sorry about that  Obviously they don't have to look picture-perfect even when they're on the shelf lol!

    47. -I too have a problem with things not being marked as sold, or sellers not responding.

      - Wait times. With no store around me, I feel like "waiting" (for even the tiniest thing) is taking over my life.

      • x 1
    48. Wow, that's crazy! I've never come across anyone like that, thankfully! I guess my pet peeve is ordering something from a shop and receiving something else entirely. It's happened to me at least half a dozen times now. Makes me wonder if people are sending me the wrong items on purpose, lol.

    49. I don't have much experience yet in this hobby. But I've found that so far my two biggest pet peeves are 1) When I'm about to take a really good picture and all the sudden my light changes. Just, out of the blue the sun's gone and it's a gross grainy shot. Or my girl falls over, and I've got to set the whole thing up again, thus allowing the light to change. And 2) Spending a solid five to ten minutes repositioning her eyes, only to realize that I didn't squish the putty down enough, and two seconds later her eye falls inside her head making her look like a twisted horror movie doll.

Mostly comical reasons (unless she happens to fall over while I'm working on a hard/grainy surface, then I panic, hehe) but they happen just enough to make me huffy lol.

    50. Ive got a few pet peeves ^^;

I really dislike it when people try to ask me about my income or financial status or try to make me feel bad for owning expensive items/sculpts. This is especially problematic that Ive stopped going to meets altogether since I felt like my dolls, clothing, car etc were dissected and discussed like Im not even there. Its just really rude to bring that kind of information up and it makes me feel really awkward.

People who beg me to sell something even though its not listed for sale, like say, I post a picture of my doll in a Klesis dress on flickr and then I get a PM asking me to sell it. The worst I've gotten was one person FMing me telling me that I should sell them my doll since I dont take too much pictures and that they would probably appreciate the doll a lot more. It was a huge WTF moment for me - equally hilarious too.

      People commenting in foreign languages on my pictures .. I would like to understand what they are saying ^^;

Setting up a photoshoot and everything looks gorgeous - Lighting is all perfect, the doll is all neat and natural looking, the colors all complement each other, gorgeous. You then load the pictures and its all crap! All grainy, dark or you see that the eye putty was showing, stray hairs that weren't visible...UGH! Easily my biggest pet peeve.

People selling a limited doll's body at a really high price when its not very different to the "standard" doll's body.. like I dont understand what makes Shinku's default body a lot more valuable than a new SD body that hasn't yellowed, especially that the default box is usually not included anyway. Its just a regular SD body.

When a person replies to everyone's complements except answer the question asking about an item their doll is wearing or their faceup.

I dislike how I personally come off online, I just feel it doesnt translate well and I can't be "myself" if that makes sense. I facepalm when I read what I type sometimes. I also am prone to edit several times since I see too many smilies or "!!!!" when I post - it makes me feel like Im Toby from Romy & Michele's High School Reunion.

..It kind of looks like a lot now that I typed it up! The more I typed, the more I came up with things that annoyed me.

    51. Oh that's a good one too! If it isn't the company fullset, why not just add the word custom? It's so easy! :P

And also, because this happened about six times over the past three days alone: when buyers ask questions about something you have up for sale, you go out of your way to answer them, provide pics etc. only for them never to reply again. Not even a "thank you, not interested after all". Ugh!

    52. Shoes being listed without measurements irks me, it's irksome.

    53. What is a snake tail photo? (I don't imagine people make a habit of photographing the tails of snakes!)

Dude! I got my very first BJD and she has a pretty lace dress! I forgot the undies XD She needs them, with the whole anatomically correct body and all O.O""

I'm brand new to the hobby so I dont have many pet peeves, but:
      - Derpy eyes, I agree. Super easy to fix bro.
      - People who hate on the stranger looking sculpts (like, bro, nobody's trying to MAKE you like it, drop it already...)
      - Really odd face ups in company photos (my new doll had the weirdest makeup on in hers! I'd have never gotten the sculpt if it weren't for other face ups online)
      - Super loose and tight stringing, yep, I am a victim of that... (and DUDE! I don't know how to fix it! :...()
      - People who believe (or act like they believe) that their doll is very much alive, it really creeps me out. Life like? Yes. Alive? Nope.

You can fix most of that in photoshop! (or in Gimp, which is free and gets the job done just as well) :)

    54. That is seriously messed up! I'm sorry you stopped going to meets because of it. Incredibly rude!!

I've never quite understood that one either, because unless the body has something unique to the original doll about it (unique body parts or blushing, etc), it's exactly like any other body of the same age once you remove the head.

    55. I provide a couple photos of a discounted wig, that was never really used. This buyer then asks for a photo of the back of it--a black wig of all things LOL And then several more questions. Only later to say "no" which I half expected but still found vastly annoying. Just like when I was asked to unwrap new items and provide more photos, even though the manufacturer has images...only they don't purchase it. One time I did that and the cat destroyed the certificate.

Also eyes rolling towards the back of the head.

    56. So much of the clothes for boy dolls looking like clothes for girl dolls.
Hosiery that doesn't fit even though you ordered the right size!

    57. The fact that I own 5 girls in the SD range, with body types/sizes that vary greatly (56cm-62cm, thick/thin, large/small bust, large/flat butt), yet still managed to end up with a professionally made lingerie set that none of them can properly wear.

    58. I don't like it when the doll's face-up includes freckles and when they wear mohair wigs, I just think it looks ugly ><

    59. I think my biggest pet peeve is when someone "rescues" an "abused" doll. Normally this means the doll has lots of signs of play or general wear. To me, this should be considered a well loved doll, not abuse.
When it's said, I sometimes wonder if the former owner might be reading the comment and how they feel about it.

    60. -Buyers not letting me know their items arrived so I can stop worrying about it.
-Sellers posting photos of a doll that's for sale, but no more. No information on the doll, no price, etc. (this pertains to other places, not here so much)
-Sorry, but I'm one of the people who hate to have to pay a seller's Paypal fees.
      -Flyaway hairs during a photoshoot.
-People posting wigs/eyes for sale as "SD-size" when wig and eye sizes can greatly vary for dolls of the same height.
-People posting wigs for sale, but only show them laying flat down and to the side.
