WHOA WHAT!? I didn't expect to place AT ALL after seeing the other entries. It's amazing seeing all the winning entries together like this - such a beautiful and diverse range of creations, huge congratulations everyone! And to everybody taking part, there has been a staggering display of talent across these challenges! I am absoutely blown away to have won a prize in the photography competition, which had a superb range of entries (thank you voters!). Huge thanks to the mods of course for all your hard work, time and effort in making these challenges and the anniversary celebrations possible - not to forget all the lovely people donating prizes too!

 

Oh wow, I can't even believe I won anything. Everyone's dolls were amazing! Thank you so much!

Gosh, this year's entries for everything just blew me away. It's just kind of amazing how many cool doll things got made around here in just a few weeks!

Thanks so much to the mod team for running all this, and thanks for placing me in the paper doll contest! It was a lot of fun, and I loved seeing all the entries. I'm going to try and find a good place to upload my full-size paper doll file so that people can download it and print their own ghosts if they want to ^__^

 

i want to echo what everyone else is saying - both with the level of skill of the winners and thanking the mods for running these contests. i've enjoyed entering them in the past, though i've never placed before - so finding my girl up there in the winner's circle is exciting. maybe next time i'll finally get up the courage to try out the triathlon!

First things first: mods, you're awesome! I know it goes without saying, but it's worth saying anyway. I can't imagine how much work this was. Thank you!!!

To everyone who competed- you're awesome, too! I thought there was an amazing amount of talent out there, and there are some super-cool projects in these threads. I'm not a hugging type, but all of you get this

For those who took the time to post about their experiences while working on the triathalon, you get an extra thank you. I would periodically have to re-check something in the rules and read a few posts while I was here. It was really heartening knowing that I wasn't stressed out and frantically crafting alone!

I've never had the extra time to be able to compete in any of the contests before- usually I don't even have enough time to vote!- so it was really fun to get to enter this year. I feel like I've been through an awful lot with DoA; ten years is a long time after all. I've had my Lusis for most of that time (and been in love with her for all of it!) so the theme this year was great, too. The wings were fun, the niche was kind of awful until it all came together at the last minute, and the book was just horrifying since I'd never even thought about making a book, but I'm proud I finished it all. This was quite an anniversary!

The contests were super fun to watch and vote in. Thank you so much mod team for hosting everything for us! So many awesome things were made and I was happy to be able to participate for once Congrats to all of you talented people, both the winners and everyone who participated.

It spurred me on and kept me going when I would have normally given up!

I've been rather stuck creatively for some time now, and thanks to the inspiring theme of this year's triathlon I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel so I can dig my way out and start creating again.
