Large The way things used to be

    1. Inspired by Arengil's photoshoot I remembered that I had an app for B&W filters so tonight I played with it. Nadia is a Dollstown 18 girl Yujin.

    3. Very nice! This inspires me to play around with some black & white shots too.

    4. @Kasu Thanks! I've used the camera app Hypocam. It tries to replicate several types of film grain.

    5. Dollstown dolls are beautifully moody, without fail. Nadia is very expressive, and there's so much pathos in these photos. I feel that there needs to be some moody trip-hop playing in the background, maybe something by Portishead. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous pics!

    6. @aihre I caught the DT bug... Ah I love her so much :love she's the doll I own that looks the most alive.
If you say Portishead I think I did something right with the mood!

    8. These are hauntingly beautiful pictures. I feel like I’m looking at an old Hollywood photoshoot. She would photograph so well with a film camera and some cool film.

    9. @sanctuary It's not the reason why I'm in the hobby, but she's really making me wish I had a proper camera  the vintage filters play into the noise and loss of detail in this case, but picture quality from my old phone isn't so good, especially with the kind of lighting I use. I have planned to upgrade next year so I can do justice to the crew

    10. Even a toy camera like a Diana would work really well! My partner has one of those and it takes some lovely pictures when the lighting is just right. They aren’t expensive at all and give pictures a very dream-like quality.

    11. @sanctuary You know what... I'm going to look for any old cameras I have, hoping something still works after all these years. If there's still a studio that develops film I'll give it a shot.
