Just For Fun The Twelve Signs of the Zodiac

I like using astrology as a tool for fleshing out characters, so I do actually know what many of my doll's signs are.


Pauline is a classic Leo.

Weaknesses: Arrogant, stubborn, self-centered, lazy, inflexible
Leo likes: Theater, taking holidays, being admired, expensive things, bright colors, fun with friends
Leo dislikes: Being ignored, facing difficult reality, not being treated like a king or queen

 

Scorpio is nothing, if not fierce!
The 8th Sign of the Zodiac, the Scorpio loves a good fight, and can give 'intensity' a run for its money.

(I think Samson here, my Dollclans Rynx, has a pretty good game face going on, and in-character he certainly cuts a powerful figure. Never thought of his horoscope much until now! :3c)

 

I've never really thought about zodiac signs for my characters, so most of them don't match up to their assigned personality traits. Glaucus however is a Capricorn, and I just laughed at how accurate this is. (Stats from here.)

Weaknesses: Know-it-all, unforgiving, condescending, expecting the worst
Capricorn likes: Family, tradition, music, understated status, quality craftsmanship

Almost all my dolls arrive in march or early fall, so its a toss-up on if they match according to their arrival date zodiac. However, bc everyone also has a character, they have a zodiac sign!

Most of my dolls "birthdays" are when I got them, so let's see if anyone actually lines up. I've never though about this before. XD

Conclusion? -> This actually matches Yukio better, and Leo matches Butterfly better. They're alternate egos, so maybe they can be both? XD Though it's Gemini, so that works for a two-in-one.

 

All of my dolls have their zodiac signs taken into consideration when creating characters, but some are much stronger than others.

Let's take Luc for example!

Born March 26, Aries---fiesty, impulsive, temperamental, stubborn, must do things his own way, passionate, experimental, risk taker, fierce, unpredictable, a little dangerous---surely not THIS guy!!

 

Hmm...of all of my dolls only three seem to fit their Zodiacs.
Desmond my DollShe Saint is a Scorpio; he's secretive and passionate, steadfast and a little arrogant, etc.
Nascence my Soom Ender/Phonolus hybrid is an Aquarius; he's tolerant and friendly, very calm but sometimes detached, and can be quite flamboyant.
Pariah my Fifth Motif Venitu/DollShe hybrid is an Aries; he's passionate, impulsive, and impatient, and very, very fiery. I think he's the one with the best fit.

 

I have my dolls zodiac signs under consideration of when I took the first picture of them, because thats when their personality truly "came into life".. So lets see how well it matches..

Her zodiac sign is: Gemini Since her "birthday is: May 28.
Strengths: Gentle, affectionate, curious, adaptable, ability to learn quickly and exchange ideas
Weaknesses: Nervous, inconsistent, indecisive
Gemini likes: Music, books, magazines, chats with nearly anyone, short trips around the town
Gemini dislikes: Being alone, being confined, repetition and routine
I am actually surprised how well everything matches with her personality!

And then I have a Minifee Rendia girl, named Mara..
Her zodiac sign is: Aries since her "birthday" is: April 3.
Strengths: Courageous, determined, confident, enthusiastic, optimistic, honest, passionate
Weaknesses: Impatient, moody, short-tempered, impulsive, aggressive
Aries likes: Comfortable clothes, taking on leadership roles, physical challenges, individual sports
Aries dislikes: Inactivity, delays, work that does not use one's talents
Well , it does match in some ways.. (If you don´t take her background story so seriously under consideration.., since she's a magical creature and does´t do "individual sports" neither does she care about "comfortable clothes"..)

I really enjoyed this "challenge", It was a lot of fun for me! And I actually feel like I got to know my dolls a little better now..

 

My Peakswoods Willow is an Aquarius. This is from an old photoshoot and is one of my favorite pics of her. Willow is fiercely independent. She will have her way, and strives for perfection. She is friendly and joyful. She is a favorite in our household, and taking photos of her inspired my spouse to get their own BJD.
