Hello. I am starting a new project. It will be costumes from Tudor time. Let's start with first one. That is King Corey and I want him to look like Henry VIII. Yes, that is crazy idea! His face is not similar at all, but I have no choice. The King has arrived! Henry. A fabric for his costume. Good luck to me?
The fabric choices are stunning!! I went on a huge spree of looking up Renaissance hats for a cosplay of mine and there seems to be quite a bit of resources out there for patterns and ideas! Best of luck on your custom!!
Thank you my dearest friends. Those are the main fabrics and I will put some more later, maybe. I tried to make Henry's face scary, but it was difficult. O.K. That is Henry , when he was a young person. Young and kind.
I love this idea! I'm so excited to see what you come up with! Please don't forget to post pictures later! I love period piece shows and movies. Did you happen to watch the series Tudors? Super good one!
Yes, I love that movies! I will to do my best and now the Actors from my Theatre together (they have a random clothes and out of tudor style now)
They're on their way to Tudor perfection! Keep going! Woooooo! Did you do the faceup on King Corey? (Henry). It's done so well!
Yes, I did, but I am not professional artist for BJD makeup Today I am finishing first layer of Henry's gown.
The gown is looking fantastic! But, that faceup is amazing. The way you did the coloring around the eyes. So impressive! I'm so excited for your project! More more! Post every step! I anxiously await!
Thank you! Thank you for kind comment. I like historical fashion and try to follow simple rules : #1, need to hide stitches from sewing machine. 2# need to use less synthetic fabric and more natural cotton, silk and wool. Now I like to show the gloves for this costume. Gloves for Dollshe King (fashion size) The gloves fit just this type of hands.
I love the fabric choices the clean sewing and how it all looks together finished It looks like museum quality and it is really cool and interesting Great work!!!!
Amazing! Did you crochet the gloves yourself? I would love to see another group photo of your Theatre Actors!
Thank you very much! I like working with fabrics. Thank you. Yes I did this work. The other Actors aren't ready. Need some time and I don't know how much it will take. Sooner or later
You chose just the right fabrics and colours for the Henry VIII outfit. Renaissance clothing isn't the easiest to make but you have done really well. It is a good idea to try to use natural fabrics as often as possible. I can't wait to see more.
I know what it's like to start an ambitious project, then run out of steam partway through. Congratulations on getting both outfits done!
Thank You, saraquill and Mandagore very much! And one more picture, just I want to show how the costumes are looking together.
