The Tiny Centaur thread

Nice I've been looking for a place to see all the baby centaurs. I have a Soom Smokey named Ganymede. I'd love to see more of the different types out there.

I think that's all of them Hopefully someone else can help you with the Luts releases and DaisyDayes sculpts (and any other tiny centaurs running around!)

If anyone is interested in the differences between Soom centaur releases, here are the 'types' of centaurs they've released:
Horses (Minette+Pyrol, Aloa+Sov)
Donkey (Smokey)
Deviltaurs (Tridy+Trona)
Deertaurs (Andes+Tona)
Pegasi (Bygg+Beyla)
Liontaurs (Rru+Lilid)

 

I'm pretty sure there's only been one release of tiny delf centaurs from Luts but there's also been some kind of centaur in the ..zuzu delf size?

Ganymede and Melba are both so cute! The ears are killing me. Did Melba's ears come with a set, Akara, or were they custom made?

 

ladygabe Thanks! They were custom made for her (theyre actually stuck on her faceplate). She also has two more faceplates that have the same ears, just differently positioned

 

Here's my Luts Tiny Delf Kai and my Latidoll centaur with a Sunny upper body. I don't think Latidoll's centaur are common knowledge cos they were part of the Sacred Goblet of Olypmus limited edition, which was themed Ancient Greece mythology.

I believe Domadoll's Kkotmu was the first bjd centaur to be largely produced. This is my Oskadis.


Akara, yes, the TD Centaurs have only been released once. I'm hoping for a re-release, and also a Honey Delf version.

 

Does anyone own any of the Loongsoul Centaur kids? They look super cute but I rarely see owner's pics.

 

This little centaur girl is currently off getting a makeover, but I was thrilled that she joined my troop this year....her name is Zydeco.

Your kids look so cute (in a bada** way, of course).

You don't see many of the Domadoll kids any more, but they were the first and created quite a stir amongst the "tiny" fans at the time. I remember being floored when I first saw them, and couldn't wait to get one. The first ones came with human feet instead of front hooves, because they were designed to be humans as well as centaurs (they come with a human pelvis you can switch out with the horse part). It was an odd look, so a few months later Domado sent all of us "first adopters" a set of hooves to replace the feet when they were in horse mode.

Lol I actually kind of like that odd human feet in the front look. Reminds me of some of the old pictures of Chiron.

 

I know loongsoul has centaurs, leekeworld produced an odd shoe wearing centaur and one other company has horse footed babes...i think perhaps dikadoll if I remember correctly? Might have to edit this

 

I remember the Leeke centaurs, they were interesting but the hands were not proportional, so I passed on those. I can't find anything on a Dikadoll centaur.

DaisyDayes did some artist-cast centaurs back in the day that were chunkier than the one I own now...legs were similar to the satyr legs she made. She used the PKF Multiheads on them, so they were between the PP and PKF size. They reminded me of My Little Pony dolls. They'd go up on Ebay every once in a while, usually in a pastel color, but I never was able to snag one, much to my regret.

I also seem to recall a French artist that had a more mature centaur sculpt back in the mid-2000's...she also had anthro cat bjds. I'll have to do some research and see if I can track that down.

 

Yeah you're right I goofed it wasn't Dikadoll...but there is one other company that produce centaurs. They're paired with this derpy looking unicorn pet doll that has translucent resin hair that's blue. I really liked them but for the life of me I can't find the company.

I love all the centaurs! I only have one, loongsoul billy. His name is Edward I still need to send him off to be painted, but I haven't been able to bear to pack him up!

My Loongsoul Billy, Edward, made it home from the artist today! SO EXCITED! I'm so happy with how he turned out. I hope to see more beautiful centaurs in this thread soon!

 

oh, wow! that body blushing is amazing!

 

Thankyou! It was well worth the wait and the price I just hope I can keep it looking nice, without setting him on a shelf and never touching him again. He's very well sealed, but she blushed every area that might ever be seen, so I suspect the edges of those joints will be difficult to keep from getting damaged.

 

probably. it's why i quit doing body blushing on my regular dolls. it looked really nice but didn't stand up to the way i used them, since i take mine outdoors a lot for photography. at least it looks like she went fairly plain around the knees so it should be possible to touch up tiny chips/rubs if necessary

 

Yeah, this is the only fully blushed doll I have for the same reasons. I like to take them out and pose them and move them a lot so its easier to have "naked" resin that I don't have to worry about messing up the paintjob on!

 

if he is the only one that makes it easier to keep the blushing special. i have one doll that i home tanned before those dolls were available in tan skin and the tan is the same as a whole body blushing. he doesn't get played with as much and doesn't go out at all, but he makes me smile when i see him sitting with my other dolls. the blushing on your centaur is so special, i'm sure he will do the same for you.

She's a Daisy Dayes baby centaur, but I'm sure you all know that already! I can't wait until my Luts TinyTaurs come in - not sure yet if they'll be her big brother and sister or just friends, but either way it will be adorable!

Hi , have a question about the luts tiny centaur, is it possible to put upper bodys from other dolls on the centaur Part? Maybe a littlefee one?

not littlefees, but with a bit of modification several people have made lovely pukifee hybrids with the tiny taur body, and luts is bringing out a honeydelf taur soon that may work with littlefees since honeydelfs and littlefees are the same size

And are they much bigger than the tiny ones?
And are they also as Fullset option awaylible?

yes they are the ones without photos. they dont have all the details up yet, so the only question i can answer is that they are as much bigger than a tiny taur as a littlefee is bigger than a pukifee. i have honeydelfs and littlefees and they are almost identical in size. tinydelfs are pretty much the same as pukifees

I normally just buy anthro dolls but I'd love a centaur to be my next one, but want to get a doll that's just right for me.

I don't know much about putting two dolls together, so how would that normally work? I saw a few others that also put together different types of dolls and I'm really interested for any advice in general relating to specifically centaur BJD!

 

[MENTION=70456]TanoshiiBento[/MENTION] i haven't actually done a hybrid yet so i cant give you specifics but i can maybe point you in the right direction? what size centaur are you looking for?

generally as long as the upper body and centaur body are on the same scale you can just rethread the dolls together with some minor sanding to make them fit better. the most common hybrids i have seen before are with the luts tiny delf body. they have been done either with a normal skin upper body and a lati yellow normal skin head (no mods required though some blushing to match may be needed depending on the age of the lati head since they change their resin colors a lot) another hybrid is the tiny delf horse part and a pukifee torso/head. this requires some sanding to the inner side of the horse torso, but any skin tone of pukifee can be used. exact mods have been described on the pukifee threads and you can probably find someone there to tell you what to do. tiny delf centaurs are sold out right now and are only available second hand.

luts is coming out with a new honey delf centaur which we are assuming could be hybrided with any yosd sized doll.

luts has done msd sized ones called kid delfs which are also only available second hand.

i believe soom has also done some centaurs in the yosd size and lati in the lati yellow size again second hand only

sure they have a listing for just the centaur body in the upcoming event. hop on over the the honey delf thread. we are all chattering there about it, the honeytaur is long awaited and big news on that thread! or you could just go straight to luts, but i'm not sure all the details are up yet. on the honey delf thread you'll get all our speculation and the latest news the second anyone knows it

edit speaking of which just found out the centaur body will be sold with a human torso and arms just headless.
