The sweltering heat, the oppressive humidity, the sticky, heavy breath, the rain that could pour down at any moment—the colors of such things. Well, it's just the color scheme that's like that, but the overall mood of the photo is completely different, haha.
Fun! she looks like she is resting from a long day in the park. I can also feel the humidity through the pictures!
These are such gorgeous photos! I can practically hear the cicadas buzzing in the background. Love her peeking through the leaves.
@RabbidBunnies Haha, I thought she looked a bit like a tomboy. Actually, it was a shoot to try out a shirt a friend gave me, and it was fun shooting this kind of image too. I'm glad you enjoyed it with me UvU @Quartz Thanks for liking that photo. I actually have this habit of snapping pictures whenever I spot a gap between leaves lol
I feel very moved by this set of photos. There are element in the scenery which feel personally familiar to me and some not as much. This combination just strikes a very touching balance -- like if you visit the home of a friend for the first time and learn new things about them which you couldn't have seen before. Your doll feels very alive and soulful to me in this emotive context. Really wonderful work.
Oh a sweet bonus, thank you! Also just as cute. I really enjoy your use of colours. It's remarkable that only her face is visible amongst the leaves here but still stands out so much! I feel like I'm disturbing her though haha.
Humid, tropical, alive... yeah these photos have it all! I'm just so amazed by all the small details and things that are happening in these shots, and how they all just work so well together? It's like watching still-images from a film....
@AlisonVonderland Ah, I was truly moved by this comment. Sometimes, photos seem to hold more than what I can see. The process of discovering that through someone else's eyes is always surprising and delightful. I never imagined photography would become my hobby, but since I started taking pictures of dolls, I feel like I'm experiencing so much new happiness. And thanks to you, I've realized that anew. Thank you >v< @AllSmokeAndMirrors Yes, that's exactly it—that tropical vibe! The pattern on that outfit really gave me that feeling! @Quartz It's probably because I always become one Tom in front of the dolls, haha. My secret hobby is peeking at them from every angle, every crack, until I see the scene I like best @usvankynsi I was actually a bit worried that the overall background and the doll's costume concept might not blend well together, but now that concern has completely melted away. How should I put it... this studio has an atmosphere that reminds me of Wong Kar-wai films from the 90s, which is probably why this color palette emerged.
