50–65cm Dolls The One Who Got Away! CP Delf Dark Elf Soo Tanning

Over a decade ago, I got in to BJDs. I always admired Cerberus Project Delfs, and almost everyone had an El. There was one Delf that really stood out to me, Dark Elf Soo Tanning l. I had seen her photo once but then forgot about her over the years.

When I re-entered the hobby from a hiatus last year, I set out to find her. I posted a WTB here. I lost out on not one, not two, but three of this rare beauty!

The first seller went to get photos for me, opened her box, and the box was empty. It seemed she up and left!

The second seller sent photos and then disappeared when we discussed a shipping quote. I actually grew concerned for their well-being, but fortunately they have since logged on.

The third listing was off the forum, but had been live since January of 2019. But some chance, the DAY I messaged the seller, someone else had done the same and beat me by 1 hour.

Finally, a few weeks ago, a listing for an estate sale in AZ was floating around. Sadly, a collector had passed away and her beautiful collection of dolls was being sold. When I saw the DES Tanning on the website, I was so excited. I attempted to pay a few people to go to the sale and pick her up, and contacted the sale company. I so wanted to give her a forever home! Sadly, she was sold.

Had I missed out on my fourth DES Tanning in over one year? It seemed that way. Until I found the very same one here on DoA!

Here she is, finally home!



She was very nicely packed! I was surprised at the condition of the box. Typically "Fragile" means "kick me" to some of the postal workers around here.



For being from 2006, she sure looks good! It was very evident the previous owner took excellent care of her dolls.

I'm so happy to have her home after a search full of twists and turns! I only hope her previous owner is at peace knowing I have given this doll a loving home. Thank you for viewing!

She was a stubborn little lady for sure! They really do. They are the foundation for so many beloved other dolls now!

Thank you so much!! Yeah I was sooooo excited when I ended up finding her! I can imagine you felt the same! Flickr is an interesting spot to find one! She has a small tint of greening on certain spots of her face but it's only noticable in the right light. I feel blessed!
