Yes, Tuvie you are right. The facepart called "Narae Heartbreak" on the Narin Korea site was originally painted as a Narin face. So it's actually a unisex face. I think Narin feels that there are more Narae owners so they have listed it on their site as a girl face but it's really very flexible for either.

And there are more faces coming! Ill share those with you as we get father along...

PPS-- I just remembered that when I took those leg shots, I mentioned that the tanning and golden beige doll legs seemed lighter and less saturated in person. The tanning is a very gentle tanned color-- like a warm tan-beige rather than a dark color.

Hello! Can i know the difference between Classic Narae and Normal open-eyed Narae please? Because i can't see a real difference between these 2 faceplate... Thanks!

 

classic is has an eye crease, and has slightly rounder cheeks in comparison to open eyed ^^

What age are Narae and Narin supposed to be?

 

Any age you want them to be! I've seen them look very young and innocent and older, wiser and more mature.

I see many Naraes wearing earrings - does she come with pierced ears or have owners pierced them. If the answer is the latter, then how does one pierce them?

 

Barry, so far as I know Narindoll will still peirce them for you if you request it (I did so for my girl, but she hasn't arrived yet). I'm not sure if that service is available anymore though, since the free seam sanding is not (due to a rise in labor costs in Korea, if I'm remembering correctly).

 

My second Narae came with her ears already pierced, with nice tiny holes. My first I had to do myself, and it was a little stressful, I must say! Even though I've pierced many BJD ears, for some reason hers were difficult - especially the left! Lol... Anyway, it was lovely to get the second one with it already done. I'm not sure if they're doing that as a general rule, or if it was just chance!

 

Ears can still be pierced if you ask for it.

Seam sanding is now a paid option, so that we could keep the base prices the same. We wanted to keep these beautiful dolls as affordable as possible. Their prices are still the same as 11/05, via Narin Korea or Dollfair. We thank you for your support over the past year.

Does anyone know how teen trends clothes fit in general. I have seen dolls in skirts but I was not sure about tops pants and dresses. We dont have them in Australia so I cant stand in toys R us and compare

Here is a picture of Kale wearing a Matt O'Neill coat.
The fit isn't perfect, it's a little bulky looking and the sleeves are a little short, but other then that it's nice.

Can you put a Narin faceplate on a Narae body and vice versa?

 

I know for sure that you can put Narin's face on Narae, we have 2 beautiful examples (or more maybe) here on Doa.
I think you can also put Narae face on Narin body, but I've never seen one

 

It might be good to add that only 43cm faces can swap.
60 cm faces (all of them) cannot swap.

I justed check the site out...and to me the MSD shoes look like they would be to wide for Narae. But with shoes sometimes you just have to try them out. Their shoes look GREAT!

I saw in your LJ that you sueded his ankle joints and you mentioned that the suede was wet? So do you wet it before you glue it on? I have some suede and I want to do Macey, mostly his waist joint, but I never thought to wet it. Should I and will it glue if it's wet?

Actually the glue (elmer's white glue) makes the suede moist on its own, so when it dries it fits in the socket really well.

I am so happy i decided to buy a beautifull narae 43cm! but since i decided, i bumped into a lot of questions, some may sound silly i hope its o.k. if i post all of em here, i have a lot of questions, so if it should be posted elsewere or differently id like to hear and ill change it!! so here goes, be prepared, many questions!



1. -are the masterpiece eyes on dollfair.com also separately for sale? could i order an extra pair of eyes with my narae? or could i maybe request a certain colour for the default eyes that would come with narae?


2. -will narae come including a teeth part or could i buy that separatly,and where?


3. -how much extra would it cost for
-manicure
-pedicure
-bodyblushing
(-sanding the seams)
on a narae? and is it posible to let this be done by basicline? does it matter in the costs wether these things would be done by basicline or by kim kyu yun?


4. -does basicline only do the face ups from sample NO1. to sample NO9.? or do they also do combinations of (for exampe) eyes from faceup no1, lips from NO7 etc? or is it also posible to send pictures for request of a discription?


5. -im a bit confused, how many basic face up examples does basicline have? at one sheet i see 9 examples and at another i see 20..?


6. -if i order from dollfair a doll (maybe extra eyes depends on the answers on question 1 ) and wig and shoes, will everything be sent in one package or will it be sent separately?


7. -how does that system work with those order numbers: when people say im in order #31?


8. -how long would it take (and in what order # would i be) if i placed my order on april the 14th (wich is in about 3 weeks from now) for my order to get here in europe in the netherlands?


9. -is it possible or inapropriate to send pictures of real human bodys for example : breasts with a nipple, to show how id like the nipple to look. (from for example nude moddels playmates etc. if necessary ill cut out the whole context so only a booby would be on the picture)


10. -is there anything i could ask to be written on the box, if id like to pick it up at my local post office in anycase? (since my adres is often unfound by mailmen or delivered at neighbours that arent so kind they'd tell they got a note of "you werent home when we tried to deliver your mail etc")


11. -can narae 43cm wear leekeworlds (or any other companys) highhealed shoes?

I'll answer the ones I know for sure.

6. Mine weren't so I assume no. You're items will arrive together before your doll.

 

AnnekeKarel - here's some of my answers...

1. That will be a question for Catrina, I'm not sure if sha has any in stock at the moment - masterpiece is horrendously slow.
3. I know that another Narae owner asked if her doll could be blushed in addition to the faceup by Kim Kyu Yun - so it is possible, but there was an additional price. I don't know how much. The doll is Tilly Flanders (I forgot her owners name, good grief, lol).
6. The accessories are usually sent out before the doll if they're in stock, if not then they'll be sent with the doll.
7. Every week a new order is sent in to Korea, that's how they determine the numbers - but you'll have to ask Catrina what order # yours will be in since it will not say on your order sheet. Sometimes orders are combined, depending on how many orders there are.
8. I don't know if the order number can be determined until the order goes in. However since you live in the Netherlands you should ask Catrina if she can have the doll sent to you directly from Korea, that will speed up the time. It takes about 4-6 weeks for the doll to be created, assembled and painted.

 

This is a furniture question. I live in Australia and we just dont have the choices that America does for props. I can , thanks to the internet, order most things but am playing a blinder. American girls seem around the same size but they look big and chunky. Does their furniture work for Narae? I am really looking for a fainting couch, It can be a bed and a chair then for Amaya. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated

 

Imajica, American Girl stuff is a hit and miss sometimes too chunky and sometimes good fit. I would suggest you try looking for Tonner items on ebay and such, they are 16 inch fashion dolls and most of their furniture looks really good with the Naraes

 

Hello, I appologize if this is answered elsewhere, but do Naraes (43cm in particular) come fully assembled with eyes already in them? I wanted to order one with make-up and fully assembled since I do not want to risk messing her up!

 

Yep! They're usually just random, but sometimes, if you have a specific color in mind, they'll put them in if they have it. They also come with really nice, soft fur wigs!

 

Yes, she comes with eyes and a wig and even pretty undies and a bra! Here's a pic of my Juliette, as she stepped out the box:



Naraes are all ready to love when you receive them!

 

If you order a Narae from Dollfair with makeup you get a fully assembled doll with makeup, random wig, and random eyes. You don't get a choice of the eyes or wig, but in my custom faceup description I said I would prefer a medium eye color and a light wig and that seemed to work (may have been a coincidence).

If you order a head alone from Dollfair with no faceup, you will probably get no eyes. But if you order a head alone with a faceup, you might get eyes.

I don't know what you get if you order through Dollmore but they probably say in their listing.

Hello again, hopefully this is an ok question for this part of the forum if not please let me know were to post it! I really love this Narae from the Bliss clothing line off of the Dollfair site (dark curly hair). I was wondering if she is open eyed and tanning skin (that is what she looks like to me)? Also, what would you say would be the closest Basic Line makeup to this lovely girls makeup? I am really close to saving up my money for one and I really love the way this one looks.

I'd guess she is open eye tanning, though I'm not positive. If you wanted that faceup, just send it this picture and ask for the faceup to be similar to that. Good luck deciding. They are all so gorgeous that you can't go wrong and I love the tanning skin the best.

 

I wonder if Bliss isn't going to be selling on Dollfair since its line creator is going to be selling clothes on her own site for this size doll? This is the link from a recent post here: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124786 . She makes such beautiful clothes!

 

Pookafey - re your earlier question. It looks more like a Basic Line faceup to me, or it could be a third-party or owner faceup?

You have to describe what faceup you want and you can provide photos. But if they are owner photos you have to get the permission of the owner. If you want to see what the more expensive Kim Kyu Yun faceups are like, most of the doll pictures in the doll-sales sections of Dollfair.com have KKY faceups. Also the model "Reina" in the Tanya Style section (I believe she is a pinky white classic with KKY faceup).

Faireyangel -Well Catrina is quite busy right now. You could try PM'ing her (member Dollyholic) or you could find one of her posts - there is a link in her signature to her service forum Magical Dolls where she also answers questions regarding orders.

LexehAnn - One exception to delivery time is if you order a default (no faceup) doll from Dollfair, and the have one in stock at their US store, you will get it very quickly.

In my experience, if you don't hear anything back from them it probably means they did recieve it. If you ordered a face-up when you ordered your doll, they should already be waiting for your e-mail about it, and they would e-mail you if they hadn't recieved your instructions yet (I just remember an order being held off once because they were still waiting on someone to send face-up instructions, so I figure this is how it works- hope that makes sense! )

 

hello, i am very new in really looking at narae and i think she's very pretty. are the dolls come with manicure and pedicure too or etc? i saw most of their picture having it, i wonder what option that people take to have those? is it either basic face up? KKY face up? or the sanding of seams? or is it actually just the owner who do it/commish it from other people instead?

No - they do not come with any makeup at all anywhere unless you pay for it. And since about 6 monthes ago (or more) they also don't have seam sanding unless you lay extra.

I am not sure how you order body blushing and/or manicure since I don't think that choice is in the dropdown selections. I would guess that most of the body-blushed or manicured ones you see had that done by the owner or a commissioned artist.

No the KKY faceup is the more expensive faceup option (Kim Kya Yun). Basic Line is the less expensive option. And default is no faceup.

You can ask for body blushing and manicuring by KKY if you order a faceup by KKY.

I handle these separately, by special request for an added fee. We can't do it a lot, because of artist workloads.. but we do have it done now and then.

How noticeable are the seams on Narae if they are not sanded? I only have tiny sized dolls right now and I don't notice/am not bothered by the seams on them, but am not sure if this would be a bigger issues on a bigger doll?

 

yeisha, poprox and cudna - you might get more people with answers for you if you ask in the regular Narae discussion thread.

When I bought my Narae the seams were sanded, but others in the discussion thread would know. And re DOC clothes, I don't own a DOC but I bet someone in the discussion thread owns Narae and DOC. Re Narae head on Narin I don't know if anyone has done that, though they have done the opposite. And there are also a variety of Narin heads for Narins.
