Repair the most gentle way to remove glue from tape on head!

Anything that is normally used to remove the faceup would also remove the glue - acetone free nail polish remover would be gentle on the resin and easy to get for instance.

 

If there's no faceup to worry about, I'd go with rubbing alcohol and some elbow grease.

 

@TreeLore Just in case, if you look up online and find that the best solution to remove tack from tape is vegetable oil, don't use it! Oils are very bad for resin and they will soak into the surface. I've been using vegetable oil (seed oil, olive oil, anything works) to remove the sticky residue from adhesive labels etc. and it works very well even where alcohol does nothing at all, so it's very likely that you'll find that suggestion.
