Abernathy, my Victorian Winter Odette. If we're talking house-on-fire, zombie invasion, run for the hills and leave all else behind, bankruptsy, becoming a nun and getting only one earthly posession.... Definitely Abernathy.

 

I am really fond of all my current dolls, but I know I could never get rid of Izel (DiM Miru).
She has so many weird flaws and customizations I don't think anyone else would want her anyway xD

 

for me, it would be julian. he was my first (as many are), but he really is so special to me. He's the one doll that didn't have a planned out character when i bought him, he just randomly screamed his name to me when i glanced at his picture on the site. He's travelled with me, weirded people out with me, let me know when i was neglecting him for too long of a period of time. He has such a comforting, protective presence that when I'm scared or feeling down, I cuddle him and suddenly feel a lot better. I really could never get rid of him because of the place he's taken in my heart.

 

It would probably have to be Ilari (Migidoll Owen). I've bought and sold a whole bunch of dolls at various times but he's the one who's stayed the longest, 3 years so far. I only have 4 right now, and I'd hate to get rid of any of them, but I think I would be happy enough if he was my only doll.

 

Last to go would coincidentally be the one that is the most awkward to carry around and would do me the most good to sell. Here is Cordelia Valentine, my Dollmore black dahlia. What can I say, the 80 cm giant is my favorite

 

I think that's a very hard question, because I love all my dolls for a particular reason.
But I love my Kid Delf Aru because she was the first one I totally fell for. I saw her on pictures from someone else and really loved her and then all of a sudden, I really got lucky and her previous owner sold exactly the doll that made me fall in love with the hobby! :3

 

I could never sell any of my dolls, I'd like to have Deena as NP rather than NY that she's now, but I have given her a soul and can't take it away. I'd rather paint her than replace her.

But if I had to let go all of my dolls, I'd still keep Johnny, my DoD Camine. He was the first doll I got (not the first I bought though, that was Deena) and his soul is the most real. I feel he loves me like I love him. He's my son, in a way his little twin brothers can't be.

I had to hide his head from my parents, they still don't know I have dolls and I'll never tell how much they cost... I told the seller to post the head to my parent's address, I was there on Christmas...

I love all of him. I love his (wig's) smell, I love that he's left-handed like almost all the boys I've liked and two of my three boyfriends, I love his weight, I just love him. He could never go.

Well.. Nwever say never but... I would take my Fanni with me no matter what. I don't think I could ever part with her.

 

I have several dolls that can never EVER go:



First is Esme, my Serendipity Alice. I've wanted a NS Alice for the longest time... A couple of WS Boding Boding Alices popped up in the marketplace every now and then, but very rarely a NS Alice - and when one DID pop up, another person was usually faster than me! Then I bought one, in... 2008, I think? And the seller broke her while packing her up for me. In 2009 or 2010, I bought one and she got lost in the mail!

So I'm really happy that in 2012, I was able to bring one home in one piece! She's never leaving, ever.



I've had Dawn, my Souldoll Tiffee, since 2005. I bought her in one of the roughest times of my life, and she was a huge comfort through it, and for that reason alone, I could never sell her.



Ben, my Dollmore Ciel, is actually the doll that my HUSBAND would never let me sell. He loves this little guy, and he has warned me on several occasions that he would be seriously cross if I ever sold Ben!

 

미동. He's my cuddly sweetie. I could never give him up. Just looking at him makes me want to snuggle.

right now I'm just in the mood to sell them all. again... now that I think about it, it seems that when the warm weather arrives, I want to get rid of my BJDs xD

but I guess my floating anderl heads? I kinda want to just paint them and put them in fancy glass jar/case to expose them :3




they be super pretty and no troubles (they don't take much space and I'm not stressed about finding a perfect body with perfect clothes, etc)

 

Never say never but I will probably keep this guy for a while more.

He's Lexington, a RS Song who has been with me for a year and a half already, he'll be two in December.
He's a doll that I never thought of selling at all.

I really wouldn't want to part with any of my dolls, but I think the one I'd be least likely to part with would be Tyler (Resinsoul Mai). He's very special to me. Paul Sebastian (Elfdoll Special K) would be a close second. He was my first, and is also special because of that.

I don't suppose it's a coincidence that he was my very first doll and started off what I sometimes thing is a bout of madness :p. But he's adorable and I have no regrets!

 

To be honest: I wouldn´t let go ANY of my family members. But the first one I would save if there would be a fire is this guy: Yoochun.

 

I know I already answered, but now I'm 120% sure.
He's the one I will keep 'til I die! I love him almost as much as I loved my dog (1992-2007).

 

As much as I wouldn't want to lose any of my dolls... if it came down to it, if there was a fire or some catastrophe and I could only keep or save one of my dolls... it would definitely be Alexis.



He's basically perfect, and my ultimate grail doll.

I'd never let my Kokoro go. She's my little baby and she'll always be as she was my very first bjd.

 

Tough one - all my dolls are "forever" dolls. But I will have to pick Syr, my Crobidoll Lance hybrid, who is the hardest to replace (she's in a LE resin tone, hybridized to perfection and modded). Everyone else would be easier to get, although I would cry bitter tears if I had to let them go.

I hope I never have to let my dollies go!

 

I would really, really hate to get rid of anyone, however if I had to pick just one, it would be my baby and companion, Acaia Rose. He was bought on a whim because doll zone MSDs were less than 200 dollars, so I went and got him and we just ended up really bonding.

 

I don't think I would ever get rid of anyone in my family...but if I can only keep one, it would be my Sol by Ringdoll. He was the first doll I fell in love with and the first resin doll I got, and he's still my favourite after all this time. I don't think I can ever get rid of him.

 

well, its going to be my first bjd, Levi.. i have already thought about selling the other ones (but i dont think i really can).
its been my dream on having one and have been admiring them at websites, but Levi really caught my eye. when i got him, it's like... the best thing happened to my life... >w<

 

He doesn't have a body yet, but once I get my hands on one, my Migidoll Sleeping Miho is a permanent resident of my house.
The Miho sculpt is my grail doll, and I've got a severe adoration for sleeping heads.
But he's also staying because he's discontinued and I'll never find him again if I were dumb enough to sell my grail. D:

 

I have 2 that I can never part with. My first is my male Tong Tong Renier.... the other is my DZ Anson. All the others, while I love them, I could live without and be okay... I would be very sad if these two were gone though.

I adore all of my dolls and I hope never to sell a single one of them. I have a few discontinued dolls and some limiteds that would be hellish and near impossible to track down again and I would be very, very, very sad to lose them. But, of all my dolls, if I could only keep a single one of them, it would have to be my Luts KDF Darae, Verity. She wasn't the first doll I ever fell in love with or the face that brought be in to the hobby, but she was the first doll to come home and the doll who most perfectly embodies what I envisioned for her. I love her face, just looking at her makes me smile. She's my darling girl and even though she is a common, unlimited doll, I could never part with my one and only Verity.



But of course, if I could sneak a second doll in (or a favorite forever doll in a different size!) Verity's little sister would also never leave me. She a Luts LE Sweet Holiday Choco and, while she wouldn't be horribly difficult to replace her since the sculpt is unlimited, it's just the faceup etc that was limited, I would never want to let my second doll (and my first second-hand doll) go, either.



There are a few dolls who I would have a slightly easier time parting with, but I was actually considering this morning if I had any dolls I would be willing to offer up as trade for one of my remaining grails, and I couldn't force myself to part with any of my little ones! I hope that need never arises.

 

I only have one doll right now but if I had all the dolls on my wishlist I'd still keep just Nadeko (my first doll) if it came to me having to sell the rest

If I could only keep one doll, my sweet, beautiful Tyler (Resinsoul Mai) would be the one. I love all my dolls and, with one possible exception, I have no plans to sell any. No matter what happens, though, I'm pretty sure I'd never want to part with Tyler. He is special to me in a way that's different from all my other dolls. I'm sure this is mostly because of the character who exists in my imagination almost as if he is a real person, but it's also because I think he's the most gorgeous doll in my collection. Tyler isn't my first doll. He isn't on an utterly spectacular body and he isn't the most expensive, but that makes absolutely no difference to me. He's a stellar photo subject and a great little 'travelling companion'. He's my little resin sidekick.

I have to say out of my collection...I can't ever see myself letting my OT collection go nor could I ever let Avalon go...Especially Avalon. As much as I love the others (though since getting Avalon they've kinda fallen away to the side) if I had to get rid of them all and only keep one...It'd be Avalon. He's what I was dreaming about...I adore him he's well...Avalon.

 

This is a really sweet thread, I have to say. ^_^ Reading peoples' sentimental reasons is rather touching.

I'd have to pick Cecilia, my not here yet but soon to be Angell-Studio Amy. This is her third incarnation, the first time she was an AoD Rao, my very first doll. I decided to sell her because she had grown out of the sculpt. Next, she was a Custom House/Ai Dolls Spia. I had to sell her then because I needed money rather badly, which was disappointing to have to do but I did. She was my only doll and lord did I miss her. This is her third and likely final sculpt, having not settled for anything that would 'do' and just saved up for what is the perfect vision of her, and having been through all of this and despite obtaining two other dolls, she's still the one I want most. She was my first RP character (as well as my first doll), who grew from a little sweet (by which I mean terrible) mary-sue character, to a personality all her own. She holds a fair lot of sentimental meaning to me, in doll form and out, but after all of this, if something happens and the dolls have to go...Cec' is the one who's staying with. Finally.

 

I used to say it was my RS Song that I've gotten modded...but now I'd have to say it's my Doll Love Evol. I just got her, but she means so much because even though I just moved out of my parents house my boyfriend encouraged me to go ahead and get the doll I wanted because he knew it'd make me happy. Since then she's gone everywhere with me, including to work in my bag every day. ^-^

 

I would have to say Ash and Evz the twins. (one egg means they are one right?) I fell in love and haven't looked back. I love all my dolls and would do whatever it took to keep them but in the end, it's Ash and Evz, I could conjoin them and they would be inseparable.

Honestly, I know myself well enough to know that dolls I think now are "never going to sell" dolls could someday be dolls that I sell. My feelings about objects change over time.

That said, I think my Volks Nono is the last doll that I would sell. I bought her in-person at an event that I have very happy memories of, so in a way she's a souvenir of that time. Since then, I've spent a lot of time and effort on changing the doll to align with my idea of her ideal self. She's my favourite for those reasons, and I'm most satisfied with her, so I am significantly more likely to keep her than to think about not keeping her. Looking at her makes me happy, and that's what I want from my dolls--that kind of satisfaction. &#9829;

 

Crazily enough, none of my doll family could go (minus the one I have up for sale currently). They are all a family and have intertwined stories. I would just have to live outside in a box with all of them...

 

Rea is just the way I wanted her to be and I could never get rid of her!! She's the perfect embodiment of her character ^^

Beliaer is not going anywhere. Ever. I can honestly think of heirlooms and valuables, even furniture I'd sell before I tried to rehome him. I get far too much enjoyment out of his presence here to possibly send him along. Heck, I'd sleep on the floor and cook over campfires to keep him.

 

I think about this quite a bit as we are now in our mid 70s and one day we'll need to downsize
in a very big way. All of my kids were carefully picked and almost none were impulse purchases.
I believe that the one that will stay with me forever is Sophia, my Volks SDCG Gretel.
