Should some more of the Mandarake shops in Japan be included aside from Nakano Broadway? They're not exclusively dolls, but some of the locations do carry second hand dolls and clothing. I'll get the addresses of the best ones and send them if you'd like. There's one in Osaka that I'm thinking about specifically.

EDIT: Here's the websites to the locations I had luck finding doll stuff in. I didn't have a lot of luck getting the English addresses. I might have them in my files, but it will take a bit of time for me to find them. I'll put the Japanese addresses in, since at least they're searchable on the maps.

Mandarake Akihabara Complex also has second-hand BJDs, clothes, and the Himekazura wigs. The address they give is 東京都千代田区外神田3丁目11-12 (which I think would translate to 11-12 Sanchome, Sotokanda, Chiyoda ward, Tokyo)

Les Golfes is a doll shop that imports and sells Volks standards. They're at c/ Diputació 256 Barcelona, Spain.

There is a slightly BJD related shop in Philadelphia PA (USA). I say slightly, because they are technically a toy store, and for dolls that they do have, they mostly deal in fashion and antique dolls. They do carry a lot of clothes and wigs and shoes, and other accessories that are suitable for BJDs though (mostly Kish and Berdine Creedy).
And as far as actual BJDs, they do have some Bishonen House guys available. I dunno if they are a dealer or not though, as I've never bought a doll through them before.

In Bangkok, there is a shop selling BJD items (and occasionally a BJD or two) in JJ Mall, Chatuchak.

It seem that Volks have also changed their website links to all the Nests and Showrooms. I cannot find an English language pages for them any more either.

Azone is now at Radio Kaiken 1. Right next door to the original Radio Kaiken building, which is in fact being re-built. I can check when I go, but I am pretty sure that's their only loc in Akiba.

Went to Hong Kong recently.

KiraKira appears to be no longer at the Pakpolee Commercial center listed. The spot was a place selling deco stuff.



Ginza plaza seems to have fewer BJD shops than they used to. The one that was a bunch of little cubicles right when you enter is now a shop selling military figures.

It appears a number of the shops in Hong Kong do shift around regularly, and even appear temporary at times.
The KiraKira address is still out of date on their Chinese website (13F before they moved to 16F), and on the English site it still lists the 16 floor of Pakpolee. I'm endeavouring to get in contact with them to find out where they are now.

Yay, now I can visit these shops since I'm in Japan and all also in luck because I get to visit Thailand and Korea as well for free every year

 

I got a picture of the Volks Akihabara Showroom storefront:



The "Museum Akihabara Kotobukiya" is actually the (main?) Kotobukiya store (5 floors).
It does carry Obitsu 50cm and the smaller Obitsus. They sell fullset Obitsu girls, basic Obitsu girls, outfits, and option parts. There were also 2 non-Obitsu dolls in the display case with them. One was a fullset 60cm resin boy BJD and the other was a 60cm girl similar to Obitsus.
There were no Bluefairy items in that store.


And cafeSAYA gave me a weird address when I searched its hours before my trip. It said the cafe was at:

Just wondering if anyone been to WingMax Taipei shop.. I happen to be on route to Taipei. Checked the shop list and thinking to visit it since it seems to be the easiest to get to. I just hope they'll understand English.. *zero knowledge in Chinese language*

 

Just last week I went to Dream Mall looking for the WingMax Kaohsiung Dream Shop and it isn't there anymore.

Sadly, Kerbey Lane's storefront in Austin closed early this year. They were a Volks official dealer. I'm not even sure if they still have the electronic store.

So, I'm going to Tokyo in two days and I wonder if THIS is still adequate and if there are some places I should prioritize etc. It would be really great to know what you guys think!
I'm going to study Japanese and learn a little about tea ceremonies, yukatas and whatnot - and the school has already planned afternoon trips and tours for us. However they're not BJD-crazy like I am - so I would love your input. Same goes for 2nd hand stores with toys

Just popping in to say that Crobidoll is no longer where you've got it tagged. My Korean is practically non-existent, but I think the nice security guard was trying to tell me they'd moved. Regardless, the 3rd floor of that building is empty now.

 

We find that a bit surprising having visited there June last year.

The address of the shop on their website does not appear to have changed, and does list Floor 2, not 3.

Yes, it was. And I looked for signage outside the building, more than once. There was no signage inside or outside of the building, for Crobidoll, anyway. I do remember that business at the top was still there. The security guard also seemed to be telling me that they weren't there anymore. I looked at all the other business names in the building, since I sometimes get mixed up with British floor numbering, but nothing was there. The building seemed half empty, actually.

I see a different address for Crobidoll itself that points out into the suburbs, but I felt it was too far to go since I wasn't sure if that was their new storefront or just their office. I posted this literally two hours after I went to find it.

But I still might have missed something, since my Korean is less than poor. Maybe someone should ask Crobidoll if they've moved? Maybe they just haven't updated their website with new info on their location.

I am sad to say that the place where Paramita Tales (pt-love) and Heisejinyao (HZ) BJD were[FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]in Shanghai, China has closed. I do not know if they have moved to a different location as all the signs for all the shops were in Chinese and sadly I can't read Chinese [/FONT]

 

Hi - could I ask if anyone has an update for shops in Beijing or Hong Kong please?

I think I saw that the Beijing locations may have closed. And there seem to be a lot of HK locations on the map, but again I'm not sure how up to date the information is or whether I will find them without speaking chinese.

And the dollhearts website says they opened a shop in Causeway Bay in 2004, but don't have any more details on their website? Did this also close?

Edit! I found some blogs about them! Apparently they also sell food too, and it's like a cafe inside. The menu pricing is pretty reasonable (if NTD is converted to USD) and they sell sushi, japanese cuisine, as well as desserts like waffles

Hello! Do you know if the list of stores in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore is updated? I just read in another forum that there are no BJD stores in Singapore now i will be traveling there in a couple months and I really want to visit BJD stores

Are far as we know, alice88th is the only shop in Singapore which has previously sold dolls and doll accessories.
Its website is working, and they still list dolls and accessories on their website.
If you are unsure, please do email them or call them directly from your residence or hotel when arriving in country.
