The Latidoll yellow clothing thread

I've bought several wigs - the size to get is 5-6. I wouldn't leave the wig on for long periods of time, though - after a few hours, my girl had a stain around her head. SO NOT FUN. So, at least be aware that the wigs can stain.

Yup, Pury and Lina are both LE and terribly expensive to buy from someone else. The other Lati babies are just as sweet, possibly sweeter. I wanted a Pury really badly and then I got Lucy.... she's a million times better than any Pury I could have every gotten, and was about $400 cheaper.

Lati is stopping orders on the 21st of the month and won't "reopen" until the middle of June. I'm think about putting in another order, just in case. They've blocked my IP address, so it's really difficult .... I have to find a public computer! Drats. I'd love to order Benny. Lucy needs a sister!

Yes, Lina and Grown Up Pury were limited dolls. Pury now lives in Vermont - I had ordered both dolls with the intention of only keeping one - They were $450. each, and worth every penny. Their outfits are stunning.

Lati Yellows are very sturdy, and stand well alone - no need for a stand or support. Very good quality dolls.

When we go to the Ball Jointed Doll convention in Austin I hope to pick up wigs and little things like shoes for Lina - I have a foot fetish - love shoes for my girls.

They didn't stop, just ran out of what they had made. So they stop selling while they make more, then open up buying again. I think I heard they plan on starting again the beginning of June, so save up your money! <g>

 

Kemper has some very cool Blyth shoes that should fit

 

I have bought wigs from Kemper, never looked at Blythe shoes though. My Blythe's foot is much thinner than Lina's (lati Yellow) I can't imagine them wearing the same shoes!! I have Barbie boots on Blythe right now. Will have to dig out the shoes and try them all on!!!

Oh, poor you with your computer blocks! I hope you get your Lati.

I checked the website and I'm disappointed by how few wigs there are available. I guess I could get just the doll and buy a wig when they get more. But it seems a shame to have a bald girly-girl.

Does anyone know if they are bringing out new Yellows in June when they start up again?

 

I got Mayas wigs from Audreys. They have a couple of others that will fit as well. You have to kind of search through to find the right size, but it's worth it!

 

Wigs are sort of like clothes....we change them, right? What size wig is everyone using for the Yellows? I measured her head and get 6". Seems big to me. So would I get a 5/6 or try to find just a 6 ? Suggestions?

Blythe is so much taller. And much different shape. I have both dolls here, I will see - I don't think so though.

Blythe is also wider - if it's tight on Blythe, it's fine on Lati. In other words, if it doesn't fit your Blythe then you might be in luck...One example is the lati hoodie - it's funny on a Blythe and obviously ill-fitting.

I have found a site (www.monique.com) that sells shoes that should fit Lati Yellow (I haven't ordered/tried them yet since I don't have a Lati Yellow yet), but they seem very reasonable and some of the styles are quite cute.

We just arrived home from a Konvention in New Jersey - wow, am I tired! I sold out of many items, must get my stock back up this week!!

I wonder if the new (smaller chest) barbie clothes would fit. They do fit the Amazon Kelly, so they may just fit. At the Konvention I did receive a Shriek Barbie outfit on my Amazon Kelly, so it may fit Lati Yellow. Will try that this morning, and take a photo. I know there is Elmo Barbie (I have seen it on Hana Angel - who is taller and thinner than Lati Yellow).

Nothing like raiding the closets of other dolls for our Yellows!

This is such a great thread! Thanks for all the tips for finding clothes, shoes, and wigs for Lati Yellow. I think I'll have a nice little wardrobe built up by the time I can get a Lea!

 

What great information for the Lati Yellows - the photos are fantastic - Miel is on my wish list.

Oh Yeah - Tiny Betsy McCall as long as it's shortish since Betsy does tower over Lati Yellows. That would include the new Tonner Kickets which use the same body as well as any patterns. Not the shoes though (which would fit AGA fairies)

Watch the Ellery clothes, Ellery has a very long body, and short little legs. I have patterns for her on my web page, and their clothes they don't share well. I will try to upload a photo when I get back from work.

I have a pattern book out for Lati Yellow dolls sweaters, jump suits, pj's, coats and hats as well as cardigans.



Some 6" Kelly things don't fit lati Yellow, the pants don't and some sweaters I have made for both don't fit (I have both dolls and compare them on occassion).

They are different dolls! But knits tend to stretch, so sometimes it "will do".

Best to find an ebay seller with the Lati Yellow doll so the sweater/jumper will fit.

I've seen these little porcelain dolls at WalMart, called Keylee... Anybody know if their clothes would be a decent fit? If no one knows, I have to go there in a day or two, I can find out...

 

I haven't seen them. I am always in search of shoes for my kids, does she have shoes??? I will be in Austin Texas next month, and will pick some up if the shoes fit.

I saw a Madame Alexander Wendy doll the other day, and was thinking that she looked like a good size to steal clothes from.... Anybody know if that's the case, or?

 

Cabbage Patch Kids "Lil' Sprouts" dolls are close to Lati Yellow size. The layered tops from the one I bought fit nicely, though Bianca's rump was a little too full for the pants to close. I think I'll replace the velcro on the pants with a hook and eye or button and loop, and they'll be fine. The shoes also fit great over a pair of thin socks.

 

Ooh! I had seen those and thought they looked too small. Good to know they're pretty much ok after all!

Wow, I love the blue hair!!! That looks fantastic. The fabric store had many more "ends" (small peices) of interesting fabric, so I will be making more of those outfits. Just wish it wasn't $22.00/yard.

Did you order the new CH dolls??? I was going to, but I will wait and see what they look like. I have an AI, and she is wonderful, but she was EXPENSIVE.

Not sure if they can share clothes, will check the web site and let you know.

Is this a Lati Yellow?

 

Nope, she's a Rosenlied Monday's Child Mint. She fits into some LY clothing, as I suspect the CH Bisou girls may as well. I got the mod dress from Mary Lee at the Austin show.

Rosenlied has some nice clothing for MC dolls, so I would think they might fit on LatiYellow. I will have to investigate that once I get unpacked from my move.

Mary Lee, with the move I'm waiting to order BonBon...I'd like to get an Ange as well, but they only have the solemn face, so I'll wait.

 

I picked up some neat sparkly pink/silver and other color MOD type fabrics this morning (voting day here in Ontario) so I will be making some more. I love your Monday's child, she is a stunning sculpt. I know once Robin (from Canada) saw her, she ordered one!! You enabler you.

I order the 2 yellow Laches in both the 16 and 20 cm size and can't wait for them to wear the leather pants I made!! Must be Halloween, I am getting Gothic.

Must get back to work, Stephanie wants to be Lizzy from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice for Halloween (from Gothic to 1800 century gowns), still designing the costume for her. Next year she wants to be the fairy Princess from Shakespeare's A Mid Summer Nights Dream. So glad my baby reads!! (Stephanie is 11, and hopefully will be with me next year in Austin - she will be a very mature 12 by then)
