    1. The Great Triathlon Reconstructed!

      Get ready, everyone! It's back! :D

      The Triathalon will be the most difficult contest of all and will be for the biggest prize:

      First Prize is a one-off fullset LOVE 60 YENA!

      Second Prize is an Angel Fantasy 70cm Dylan with face-up, generously donated by Mint on Card.

      Third Prize is a blank Vezeto head, generously donated by DollClans.

      • There will be three feats of skill; the first event will last almost two weeks, and the following two events will last one week each.
      • Votes in these events will count as points, and points will be cumulative. At the end of the the three events, the person with the highest score wins!
      • You must participate in all 3 events to have a chance at a prize - this is also a feat of endurance!
      • Each challenge will be posted individually, right when that section is going to begin!

      Who May Enter?

      This contest is open to all members who do not currently have any unresolved transactions or other disciplinary measures in place. Members must have joined the forum before June 25th, 2013.

      The contest is also open to all forum staff, though staff may not participate for prizes. If you have won a doll or part of a doll in a past DoA contest, you may enter for fun but you may not participate for prizes.

      Please note that it is possible to participate just for fun, without being in the running for first prize. Do not accept the prize if you do not intend to keep it; it is unsportsmanlike to sell the prize after receiving it and anyone found doing this will receive a Marketplace suspension and be barred from future contests.

      Contestants created a head to toe doll outfit using a single piece of used human clothing. Click HERE to read the details!

      Contestants created an interactive prop entirely out of materials from the recycling bin! Click HERE to read the details!

      Contestants must build a set entirely out of white paper embellished only with black marker and create a .gif of their doll wearing the Challenge #1 outfit and using the Challenge #2 prop. Click HERE to read the details!

    2. ^^ Sadol's one off Yena photo will be released soon, around August 15th, earlier if we are lucky. Her outfit is unique and will not be available again. Usually Sadol only offers their one-off sets offline, so it's very generous of them, and for our triathalon no doubt!

    35. If you show the winners by their numbers, can't they just then be easily voted down in challenges 2-3 because they are ahead, though? Or is that part of the competition as well? If #18 is in first place now and I look up #18 then wouldn't I just be able to vote them down when I recognized their doll or their materials in rounds 2-3 were I so inclined? Or am I misunderstanding? :/

    36. mimi, our system only works as a system of additive votes; there is no down-voting for any entries, because it encourages all sorts of unsavory behaviour. Any votes stacked for entries will be immediately thrown out (77,77,77 type of thing).

      We do hope that everyone will continue to have fun and play fair. It's not really about the destination, but about the journey getting there :)

    37. The numbers on the next round won't be assigned to the same contestants, but yes it will probably be possible to recognize the same contestants through their dolls. As has been done in the past, we are showing the top point winners in this challenge only. Once the entire Triathlon is finished, contestants may reveal their entries if they choose to do so.

    38. Ah well, I wasn't going to worry about it at all, I was just trying to figure it out. Not intending to introduce negativity, sorry! I know the mods are working very hard to make it very fair and I applaud everyone playing. I'm having a blast in the competitions learning a lot, enjoying the posts and really actually wishing I'd competed in past ones. It HAS been a great journey already, I'm the better for it and I'll compete again!
