Got home from getting my second vaccine today to find a package waiting at my door! I've never been fond of centaur-style dolls, regardless of the animal they're based on, but something about this wolftaur/foxtaur body just really appealed to me. I love the proportions of those long, slender limbs! It's been a long wait (*old lady voice* back in my day 2 months was a long time to wait for a doll!) but it was well worth it. If images are broken, you can view the album here: Dream Valley Chaos I was happy to see he was very well packaged--I know some of the other fantasy DV dolls have had issues with broken parts. It was actually kind of a pain to get all the padding out from between his joints, but a pain I'll happily go through if it means he arrived safely! As you can see, I got him in chocolate skin with body blushing but no faceup. He's going to be a jackal, so I can't decide if I want to go ancient Egypt themed faceup (like a servant of Anubis) or a more animalistic fantasy look. I'm also in love with this resin color. It's not at all orange (one of the things that turns me off of a lot of tan dolls); instead it's a like a pale chocolate with just a hint of warmth. I've noticed he looks a little redder in photos than in real life, but I suspect it's because of the red in his body blushing. It's definitely gonna take some practice for me to get good at posing him. Getting him to stand took a bit of work, but once he's in position he's surprisingly solid. I love his little golden pawpads and claws. Such a cute touch. And those huge ears! I'm in love. Biiiig stretch His tail can stand up, too, despite how heavy it is: I'm super impressed by his joints--he can do a wide range of natural-looking dog poses. Those torso joints on the wolf body let him do a nice sideways relaxed pose, which imo is super cute. He's also the perfect size for a Yo-SD to ride! xD Guest appearance by my Huajing-doll Dandan: All in all I am absolutely thrilled with this good boy. I can't wait until we can start having in-person meets again so all my friends can play with him, too! This is my first Dream Valley doll, but I will definitely consider them in the future because I am really impressed with both the design and the engineering that went into this doll.
Beautiful! I'm waiting on my own DV -taur (giraffe though, not wolf) so seeing everyone else's makes me happy! He's lovely, from the resin color to the jointing. Just fantastic overall.
Your doggo is beautiful! An ancient Egyptian theme would suit him super well imo. I missed out on the event, really hoping the do a rerelease some time like they have with other special dolls.
