Hey all! These are the finished pictures of my hotglue doll, Lina (short for Glualina). I wanted to put this project to rest so I didn't finish her feet, but instead slapped a pair of Chucks on her and called it a day. Working on her was an invaluable experience and I learned a lot! Especially about making hollow joints and hands. I will keep most of her parts and possibly improve upon them to make another doll or two, but for now it's just Lina. I really like pretty much everything but her legs and arms, so those will probably be scrapped but the rest I think I will reuse/clean up to cast. Just so you know, she is strung together with rubber bands, and handmade s-hooks. Also, I called this thread The Fleeting smile because, like the Mona Lisa, you only see her smile on the occasion, but when you do, you're glad you did :3 Enjoy!
wow this is such an interesting idea. how well does she pose? She emulates the whole "glow in the dark" resin business haha!
Wow, make a doll out of hot glue?! Amazing idea and talent! I also like the hook in the head that looks like it was made out of paperclip.
Wow! She's brilliant! I was just wondering about what sort of materials people have used to make their dolls then I find this gem on the front page. How well has she held up over the years?
