The first doll you got

Hi! She is Freya, my first doll, and she is a kid delf ani elf with volks body ^^ . I just adore her!

 

My first doll was Alice, a WS AoD ZiYuan. She'll be with me 3 years this September. I used to "play" with her more, but these days she spends most of her time just sitting pretty on my shelf with my other 1/3s. But I still love her. She came with an all-pink company faceup, which kinda worked with her first dress, but I've since changed around the eyes/eyebrows. The first pic is from when I first got her, and the second is from a few months ago. Can you believe she's only had one wig all this time?! XD

 

Prima, my Obitsu Gretel. I bought her on impulse off of ebay with absolutely no knowledge of BJDs. Then of course I got obsessed with them. I now have *cough*aboutforty*cough*, from all different manufacturers, all price ranges. She is still my favorite and the closest doll to my heart. I would sell every other doll I own before I sold her. A "trade secret" in the BJD world is that the Gretel head was sculpted by Rainman. Since I think Soah is the most beautiful doll in the world, maybe that's why I like my Gretel so much.

 

Here's my first doll, Kim, an AR Dana. It's been five years now!

 

I still have my first boy, Yuki, a DoD Ducan, he's switched from a DoT bod to a DoI bod..but I will never get rid of him!
I bought Yuki in March 2006 or 07. I don't remember.

I love this thread! It is so sweet seeing everyone's firsts! I just smiled through 3 pages, and I was so tickled by your post Starzzz, I love how smitten you are with your gorgeous girl.
And I might add I am so impressed by the size of everybody's firsts! I was too scared, my first was a little mite, also sculpted by the amazing inimitable Rainman, a Fairy Elf Adel, I think she is five now, and you will have to pry her from my cold dead hands. This is Esme, named for my baby daughter, when I was looking at them on the computer she said "get the pink one Mommy", so Esme has my daughter's middle name for her name.

My first doll, BE, is a CP BW El. I've never once regretted getting an El as my first doll. I'm still a bit smitten with CP sculpts. X3 My next doll coming in is another Delf too.
I'll have had BE for three years this August! And yes, he is fending off a handfull of pills. XD;; It was a fun little shoot ...

My first doll was a PKF "Ante," who I named Teagan. I'd originally ordered a Shiwoo and snagged a spare Ante faceplate from someone on Flickr, but when Shiwoo got here, I didn't like her that much. So Shiwoo's plates went, and Ante stayed!
Anyway, here she is in the first few days (weeks?) that I had her:

He's had some facial mods, and I'm actually trying to sell him.

I did love him, but I prefer more realistic faces now. :d He still makes me happy to see his older pictures tho.

My first BJD was Luts KDF Ani.
Her name is Aizome.

 

My first doll was a 2005 Luts Juri, and I've had her that long. Seems like less sometimes, and sometimes more. 5 years is quite a while, haha.

She's gone through many face-ups, many wigs, many clothes, and some damage and odd colors (she was stained purple by acetone once o.o). This is her now, pretty with her face-up and new tan, and hopefully she'll stay this way for quite a while ^^

My first doll is Riona, my NS Resinsoul Mei.
This picture was one of the first I took of her after doing her face-up:


Since then I added some sparkling powder and gloss to her face-up. I also gave her eyelashes and new green, glass eyes. This is what she looks like now:


I'm planning on redoing her face-up or maybe adding to it in the near future. This was the first face-up I did on a BJD ever

 

My first doll was Alexei, my DZ Megi. Still my favorite, always will be He was my dream doll for nearly a year before I was able to get him. Gave me a lot of time to research the dolls, though ^__^

 

My first boy Azure is a LUTS kid delf Ani, and he's turning one in a few weeks time ^^
Mhm when I first ordered him my knowledge on BJDs were still rather minimal, gradually over time I learnt to do alot of things together with him
I got him with default faceup, and despite the fact no matter how many times I complain about his eyebrows I still love him very much ;w;

 

My first doll is a RS Mei. Her name is Faye and I still have her. She's almost a year and a half old and I love her to bits.

This is my first doll (along with the second) she is an AOD Fei (named Scarlett) the other is AOD Wang Zi (named ADAM) they both have new wigs and eyes now. I got Scarlett in May 2008 and Adam December 2009. I love them both

 

My first doll, my dream doll, has been with me since May 2007. He kept his Luts face up for the first two years and then to celebrate I had him redone by Overlordu. He's a Luts CP Moon named Taira and he's still my favorite.

My first doll is a hybrid, DZ Shoyo head on an AoD 1/4 boy body. I wanted my favorite anime character Naoe Nagi from Weiss Kreuz. I've had him for 2.5 years now and he's on his third face up. He's been to Puerto Rico, Italy and Spain (school international club trip), and goes to school with me at least once a week for my students to hold and love.

My first doll was Keiji (CustomHouse Ange Ai Sunny).



I bought him in December 2009. I didn't mean to buy a BJD so soon after getting into them, but then I saw this one in a sales post and it felt like he belonged to me. So I bought him, and I have never regretted it.

 

My first doll is Lettice a Resinsoul Rong. I was the first on the site to get her!

 

This thread is just full of the warm and fuzzies.

My first doll was Makenshi, an Abio Angel Er that I bought from a local doll owner (and now my best friend xD) in November 2008. I love him just as much now as I did when I first got him. He was the first BJD I'd ever seen in person so he really shocked me with how amazing he was! (BJD are always better in person )

And this is about half a year later after I just got him new eyes and made him a new wig.


He still looks just like this, though I've repaired his eyeliner around his eye since then. I could never get it redone though. Being separated from him would kill me. And knowing he's been taken apart and changed...I would have a stroke. xD Any of my other dolls it wouldn't bother me, but Makenshi is special that way. I've never taken him apart more than to just change his eyes. ^^;

 

Ireen, B&G Sky, was my first doll, and has been with me for 2 years and a half ^^
He's still my absolute favorite! He has yellowed a lot, but that doesn't change anything ^^

 

My first doll was an Iplehouse Akando, and he is still here, been with me for over a year now. I never regretted starting 'big'.



He's the reason I got addicted to EIDs, I have three of them in my home now, but he is still my utmost favorite among them.

My king of doom and gloom, Jan, was my very first I couldn't hit the 'buy' button fast enough when he came along.

 

Well goodness... this one is a bit difficult for myself.
Well, I'll count both of them.
The first piece of resin I got my hands on was a floating head... An OOAK modded MNF ShuShu head. Well, she still is a floating head and when I get her all together as a whole I'm going to count her as my first doll.

But for now, I'm counting this girl, my KDF Summery '10, as my first doll... She is my first "full" doll and I just got her a week or so ago~

They're both quite safe from being sold, since Bitter (the Kid Delf) was an event gift. A lot of people sell event gifts when they have no use for them, but I personally think it's rude to give away or sell a gift. I bought Pandemic (the head) as she is, with the mods and faceup already, so they weren't by me, and I'd never be able to sell another artist's work. And even if they weren't special like that, I'd never dream of selling my first dolls~

 

I was crazy and actually bought two dolls within a week of each other when I got into the hobby. They were to be my siblings, so I had to buy both of them so they could have someone to hang out with and not be lonely. As my Juri '05 was bought from Luts, it was my Lovelyhouse Shin-Ma from Ebay that arrived first. I bought his head, then the Juri, and then the Customhouse body for the Shin-Ma. He's been with me 4 1/2 years now and has gone through face up changes, hair changes, a nose job, and a major identity crisis. He started life as my character Kilian, but now has changed to a different character, Illymar.

My first doll was bluefairy tinyfairy jasmine. I picked her after endlessly looking at eyes, noses, chests, company reputations, pose-abilty, and general popularity of dolls and doll companies.

Her 1 year anniversary is coming up in october ^_^
