Why I Chose Him: It was, sadly, a purchase of opportunity. I bought him at Fanime from Junky Spot. I love him still to this day, and even though he now has a Mo head, I'm thinking about putting his Demi head back on.

Why I chosed him: I really fell in love with BJDs again (when Ilast looked at them, they were cute girl doll only, only Volks. While I thought it was cute, I didn't really think zomg got to have!!1one. I came back to look at BJDs again 3 years ago and saw him. And thought oh wow, I really have to have him! His mature manliness wowed me I guess? Funny, as now I like girly dolls...

I've sold him on because of a lack of space, but I may be moving soon so I may buy another Sabik, I really do love them!

Why I chose him: I had seen many BJDs online before I saw him, and thought they were very cool, but couldn't see myself spending so much on a doll. When I first saw him on Souldoll's site, I immediately fell in love and decided to start saving right away. Having an Asian doll who actually looked very Asian really appealed to me, and I felt like he had a lot of attitude from his pictures.

Wishlist: Souldoll Chiron, dolls for my characters Kreg and Nox (probably Crobidolls), some various others who don't have characters yet~

Why I chose him: I was shopping around for a face that was similar to a Volks Cecile (original version) because I assumed that since he was sold out he was unattainable. I fell in love with the old photos of the Dreaming Shiwoo head that Luts was using in 2005 and ordered him on impulse. I figured I could modify him a bit to look more like smirky Cecile.

Wishlist: I am fortunate to have most of the dolls I've ever truly wished for, but they keep making more! I have designs on an I-Doll girl next, but I haven't decided whether it will be Alice or Byul. Mostly I'm just waiting to see what body types my favorite sculptors create next: Supia, Dollstown, Dollshe, Fairyland... Oh, and I still want a Volks SD Mark, but I've been ruined by the one-off that got away from me in 2007.

Why I chose him: Chord is a character I've used in an RP before, and being as attatched to him as I am, when I decided to make a BJD, I knew exactly who it was going to be modelled after. After looking around a lot and almost buying a female mold for him, a friend of mine stumbled across Iplehouse and "Mars." His androgynous face and pretty features made me go "perfect!" when I saw him. It was love at first sight? I had to get him custom make-up from the company, but I couldn't be more satisfied with him!

Wishlist: Oh god. The next two dolls I REALLY want are ... Tatiana (Iplehouse) & Akando (Iplehouse). I've also fallen inlove with Doll-zone's Floy after reading this thread and seeing someone else's. Then there's Kun from VOLKS and a few other Iplehouse molds.

I started with a pair... Accidentally. (Tien Jen was only *supposed* to be an alternate head for Harumatsu, but when they got here they looked nothing alike. XD)

My first BJD was an Obitsu Gretel Pixie (a boy). I still have him, and he's been through several face-ups and outfits that he doesn't wear anymore. He's 2 1/2 years old now. The first of many.

Here he is. I took this picture the second day I had him, and it's the first face-up I'd ever done. All he had to wear were pajamas...

It's funny how young he looks in this picture. He looks much older now, but this is still one of my favorite pictures of him.

 

If not for Aussie customs, my IH Lion would have been home first, but as it turned out, Rook, my DOD Camine arrived first.



He didn't look like this when he arrived, and he doesn't look like this now, but however he looks, I love him to death. It's going on four years now, and I still have him.

 

My first was Elfdoll Soah. I lived with her blank face for something like four months before my commission spot was ready. I didn't really bond with her all that well at first, but after she got her faceup (From Threnody of Safrin Eyes fame, who unfortunately doesn't take them anymore) I loved her tremendously and have never stopped loving her.

My very first doll was Gabriel. He is a Dream of Doll Camine. I have had him for over 4 years now and I still love him as much as the very first day that I brought him home.

 

Domodov is my very first and after almost 5 years I still have him. He might be more in the background compared to my other dolls but I still love this guy.

This makes me the saddest person on the thread but my first BJD "Doll" was just a head, Lishe, I bought on Ebay about 2 and a half years ago, 2nd hand. First I made her a cloth body, which the head kept falling off, then I got her this Obitsu body...



Sadly this is the only pic I have of her but she looked fab in a Marie Antoinette costume I made for her with a big mad flower strewn wig. She was my introduction to BJDs and the reason I have so many now... I only sold her about 6 weeks ago

 

I've had Jack for well over four years now--I bought him just a month or two after Iplehouse first introduced the Lion sculpt.

This is Luken. Got him in April 2008 (around Easter). I just noticed that he's yellowed considerably since but I don't mind. Not at all. Only his new hands look - well, oddly light-skinned in comparison.
