Companion piece to The Kingfisher in Autumn - made in the identical location, in an earlier season. Justinian is Dollstown Mui on Dollstown's old 15year boy. I recently got him new eyes, so he looks a bit different vs my earlier photos of him. If pics are broken, the photoshoot is on my doll blog. Thanks for viewing.
Yes!!! Justinian made it to the wall window!!! I'm surprised his feet aren't dirty from the walk. Did he fly?? The dead vines give off a much different feeling. I'm glad Halcy got the full color! It suits her. Justinian gets a much more somber shoot.
@animemom Thank you - I love this backdrop and will keep coming back. @nyaaain Thanks! I like how both photoshoots suit the dolls' personalities. Winter is a fitting season for my dour, dark-clothed boy; his birthday is in (southern hemisphere) winter too. Maybe he can fly. Or maybe angels just don't get dirty feet.
This is a really great photo set. You've made some powerful compositions with a very nice but limited background. I love this hole in the wall you've found and what a nice environment you can create with it!
@AlisonVonderland Thanks. This wall is in my local neighbourhood, every time I walked past it I thought it was the perfect size to fit a doll - and it was! I really like how it makes a perfect showcase for the doll and their innate expressiveness.
What a lovely harmony of colors! The austere, bare-bones background suits Justinian very well. Needless to say, the Anpiel reminds me of spring instead.
He is so classy! Love the outfit and Dollstown dolls always have such a specific presence, that you have captured so well!
