... but it has too many flaws still and thus will not be cast. But still I would like to show her ^^ (and hope to be able to post pictures of my new WIP doll soon) Thank you for looking
I really like her face!! (fan of her ears too ) Are those hooves I see?? Post more pictures of her! ^^ She's just adorable :3
Thank you cheshirepanda and Jphobia! Yes, she has hooves, horns and sheep ears, she is a sheep girl (actually she also has a tail, but I ran out of magnets, so it will not be put on her till I buy new ones someday) I will gladly post more of her, she is a creation I am so happy to have completed... Thank you ) Here are a pic of her, with all flaws and irregularities before she was painted and got her wig (and horns): And that is how she looks now:
clarinetplayer, fairywhiz - thank you ^^ Maybe one day I will make a second - and better - version of her to cast. I am still learning
She is so cute!! I think she would make a wonderful resin dolly. Maybe if you made a cast of her in carving wax to clean up all her inperfections?? You should ask kwmelvin, our resident wax expert.
Miss_Pygmalion, thank you ^^ Wax sounds interesting! I am reading kwmelvin's thread about way now already fairywhiz: yes, new medium does sound exiting ^^ The problem I see with the sheep dolly is that I dislike too many details, expecially in her body. Maybe I should just make her anew, with similar facial features but a different body, in a more flexible medium than polymer clay.
She's super cute. I think all she really needs is more sanding....it'll thin her up a bit, but that's all I see as far as her being "imperfect". Give her a good sanding ,re-coat her primer and recast that cutie. She poses really well too, love her to bits.
flaws, what flaws?! shes a total beauty! the second i saw her i instantly had a character in mind that i didnt even know i wanted to shell (never happened before!). are you sure you do not want to cast? T.T
How did I miss this one? I think she is a lovely WIP. She has lots of potential. Have you thought of casting her in carving wax? I too have used polymer clay, but I find the use of carving wax more enjoyable and easier to work with. Kwmelvin mentioned it has a steep learning curve, but I am just not feeling that. Your Mileage May Vary.
