Haha no way, this is just way too cool! I especially love the mahogany one. It would be neat to somehow attach leather (or whatever else) straps onto the back to make it like a backpack too.

I now want to do this. I have no awesome tools though, so maybe some nicely painted craft foam, or oohhh! I could make a cloth one with batting inside to keep its shape.

Love you tutorial! Only thing I'd change is where the hinges are. The lock is for security right? With the hinges where they are -on the outside - someone could open it by unscrewing them.
