I visited a studio with a truly wonderful atmosphere. It's decorated in an overall Chinese style, and I happened to have an outfit that fit perfectly! After the shoot, the scenery in the photos felt like a world from the early to mid-20th century—a time I've never lived in—so I edited them to capture that feeling as much as possible. By the way. I took the last photo simply because I liked the interior at the end of the dark hallway, but I edited it because it somehow had a mysterious vibe. The characters written in the photo are 'Knock knock, who's there?' and 'Honored Guest'. It's a pun because the Chinese characters for 'honored' (貴) and 'ghost' (鬼) have the same pronunciation lol
Fantastic photos as always! You always pick the perfect dolls to go with the location. The twins are at home here. The atmosphere absolutely rocks it's like something from a noir movie. Love the last picture as well, that outfit is beautiful.
These photo studios have been really cool, and it seems like you make the best use of them. I think you have a great eye for interesting composition and I admire these poses full of movement and emotion.
What a cool photoshoot! I love how everything melds together so perfectly and the vivid colors. (Small note though that the pronunciation of honored and ghost are actually not the same -- different tones in mandarin)
@lutke Haha, I also thought, "It's like a noir movie boss and her cherished lover," when shooting the scene with the blonde lying down. These two outfits didn't really match the grassy fields I usually shoot in, so I'd been waiting to find the perfect location. I finally found it, and the shoot was really enjoyable! @AlisonVonderland Wow, I'm thrilled you took the time to look at my photos from so many angles. Thank you! Honestly, I'm not the quickest person, so when I use a studio, I always feel rushed and lack confidence in composing scenes. Still, this time the overall atmosphere felt just right, which really helped in getting results. One scary thing here is that there were at least three photo zones in this studio I didn't manage to use within my time... It was the most spacious studio I've been to, with the most meticulous interior design. @Serraphym I'm glad the colors I gave the doll harmonized well with the background. The combination of black, red, and gold—vibrant yet restrained—always strikes me as beautiful. and, Oh, I'm Korean, and we read it with the exact same pronunciation, so I wrote it that way. As you pointed out, even within the Sinitic cultural sphere, the way Hanja characters are read often differs by country, so it would have been better if I had considered that in my explanation
Ahaha, I didn't even notice the Korean in that last photo and didn't realize that you might have been referencing Korean. I should have also considered that too!
Beautiful, georgeous, stunning, just wowI absolutely love the intensity and vibrancy of these colours and also the poses. They exude such liveliness and warmth!
@Serraphym Hahaha, it's a bit embarrassing, but to be completely honest, I actually checked the pronunciation in Chinese before posting this. That's because I use RedNote too. But, I'm still a beginner who hasn't been learning Chinese for very long, so I'm not very good at distinguishing tones yet. That's why I mistakenly thought they were the same pronunciation. This is why beginners learning Chinese need to pay close attention to the Pinyin symbols X°D @Arucane Thank you for liking them! Since they're the most recently completed dolls I own, I don't have many photos of them yet, but every time I see them, I fall deeper in love with them ♡v♡ @Arimioa Awww, hearing such heartfelt praise always makes me feel a little shy yet incredibly happy. I hope your day feels as wonderful as mine does right now! I'm not usually great with warm colors, so I'm relieved these photos turned out with such a flattering tone. It's kind of like scanning an old magazine, haha.
They dance and entwine so elegantly, the only thing missing is music, a loving tango perhaps? So lovely! Thanks for this share!
@Valdemagra Thank you for enjoying it! Hmm, tango? That sounds like it would suit perfectly. The passionate melody, and red X>!!
OMG! This is absolutely perfect! When I looked at first l thought "What a beautiful home you have", then "It should be a museum or something" and yes, then l read that it's a studio. Beautiful place, beautiful dolls, all blended together masterfully, love how they pose.
@RabbidBunnies Printing this photo would make it look like a very old film photograph, and I have a feeling I'd definitely love it XD @AllSmokeAndMirrors Isn't the interior absolutely stunning? When I first stepped inside, I was amazed twice—once by the sheer size of the space, and again by how harmoniously each area's decor blends together. But sadly, I heard they plan to close down sometime this spring... My biggest wish now is to win the lottery before then so I can buy this place TAT @saraquill Hahaha, you'll be pretty surprised when you see the original. We started shooting after 3 PM, and the interior was quite dark. There were auxiliary lights inside the studio, but moving them all the way to the bedroom with the bed was a hassle. Plus, since I don't usually use separate lighting equipment, I'm not very good at handling artificial light. So... Yeah, the original and the final edited photo are quite different. I'll attach the related photos. I sometimes joke, “I'm an artificial sun.” XºD @P0laris I thought exactly the same thing! The moment I saw it, I thought, 'Alright, I absolutely have to take at least one shot with that shelf centered in the composition.' X)!! Spoiler: Before and after editing
