This shooting started off as a serious experiment: „How do I photograph my largest dolls all together?“ (ranging from 68 to 74 cm) „… wearing glasses?“ „Why not with a theme? A book club maybe. Because - glasses …“ The 66 Plus Book Club Six by Evie ex Machina, on Flickr It was hard to pose them all together, one always started falling or dropping their stuff, so I grouped them in pairs which ended up to be more fun. I enjoyed this so much, the interactions, the handsome guys... thank you so much Made this day so much better.
Oh wow! I love these! As a person who really like to collect the big boys, this is very creative! I love how you have them all interacting with each other and how good they look sitting next to one and another. The glasses add a nice touch. Did you make the books?
Thank you all very much for your comments! I'm glad you had fun watching. Aw, thank you! I love playing with my large boys and their different personalities. There's always surprises … Books are such a fun prop - great for interaction and making up little stories. I'm always on the lookout for miniature books … Thank you so much! I'm so glad this concept finally worked out, posing big guys takes quite a bit of strength. The glasses added a surprise factor to the characters. Oh, thank you! It makes me happy to read that my photos brightened your day. If my pictures can inspire or spread a little joy it was worth taking them. Thank you! Thank you very much! As a fellow big boy lover you know it needs quite a bit of effort doing something with a group of them … I had to compromise on my first idea of a complete library setting. I actually wanted only one pair of glasses for Kiran, but then I won an auction for a bundle of doll glasses, and some fit BJDs. I do make miniature books and zines and did make one of these, but the rest are gifts and books I collected over the years.
