This shooting started off as a serious experiment: „How do I photograph my largest dolls all together?“ (ranging from 68 to 74 cm)

„… wearing glasses?“ „Why not with a theme? A book club maybe. Because - glasses …“

It was hard to pose them all together, one always started falling or dropping their stuff, so I grouped them in pairs which ended up to be more fun.

Books are such a fun prop - great for interaction and making up little stories. I'm always on the lookout for miniature books …

Thank you very much! As a fellow big boy lover you know it needs quite a bit of effort doing something with a group of them … I had to compromise on my first idea of a complete library setting. I actually wanted only one pair of glasses for Kiran, but then I won an auction for a bundle of doll glasses, and some fit BJDs.
I do make miniature books and zines and did make one of these, but the rest are gifts and books I collected over the years.
