Den of Angels is the only forum I frequent daily. All thanks to the Mods and Virtues who really commit themselves to being apart of the community. Not only in moderating, but also participating and helping all the members, new and senior. You guys make this forum a wonderful place to be. Thank you all so much!

Because of DoA I have made some wonderful friendships with people from all corners of our globe. It starts with the dolls but now there is so much more! None of this would be possible without the wonderful mods and their tireless work on this forum.

This forum has gotten so big over the years, and I am so, so impressed by how well it is run. Hugs 'n cookies to all the wonderful mods -- both past and present -- that have made and continue to make DoA such an excellent resource and a fun community!

 

I'd like to say thank-you to the DoA staff, especially for the many times they put in more effort than the minimum required (for example like this anniversary's bash!! & the ask a mod thread) I joined a little more than a year ago (but am still pretty much a newbie/lurker xD) and I'm really happy with my experience so far with DoA!!

Thank you for making and maintaining the forum! I'm certain that it takes a lot of work from you all in order to keep things running smoothly. Of all the forums that I have been on, this one is the most efficient and easy to navigate.

Thank you for inspiring us to go to greater artistic feats with our BJDs and creating a place were doll lovers can discuss and appreciate each others dolls even though we might be on different sides of the world.

 

When I first came here I was rather wary of the size of this forum. In my experience large forms and groups don't run very well most of the time. It has been a very pleasant surprise to be proven wrong. I know it must take much time and effort to keep things running smoothly, and it is a credit to the staff that it does.

My dolls want to thank you even more than I do. They benefit the most from what I've learned, and the cool ideas that people share, and the great things (and more resin folks!) I find on the MP, and the friends I've made here.

I know that trying to keep things organized, safe, and a positive experience for the users can't be easy sometimes. The effort you make must be nasty and unpleasant and tense sometimes, and other times very cool.
I hope in future it is cool a lot more often than nasty!

Yay for everyone who works or helps out on DOA!!!! I spend an enormous amount of time on the board - it really hit me when I realized how many of the Mod/Virtues I've chatted with on boards or had transactions with. You guys are all so wonderful - thank you for creating such a safe, happy forum for our hobby.

 

Thank you so much Mods for everything you have done these past 5 years. I really appreciate everything. My experience here has been wonderful. Your commitment to the board is amazing. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this such a fun place to belong to! ^_^

 

Honestly, there must be so much free time that all these wonderful people put into these forums to make it the well-working supportive and lovely community that it is today. I haven't been a part of it long, but I'm really enjoying it already! Only people who really love their hobby would put this much love into these forums.

Thank you all so very, very much for years of pure fun and enjoyment and artistry and intellectual discussion and all the other things that make DoA so wonderful! All your hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated. I didn't quite realize the scope of how hard the Mods work to keep this place the creative ideal that it is until I looked into other doll forums on Yahoo. You had to wade through pages and pages of personal vacation tidbits, incessant posts of whining about whatever goes wrong in their lives on a daily basis, recipie swapping between friends, garden tidbits, constant back-stabbing, in-fighting, and petty jealousies...just to find a word or two about dolls!!! Trying to wade hip deep through that muck showed me how difficult it obviously is to keep a forum on track, making it all about the dolls we love, and keeping it from being hi-jacked by a few people with way too much time on their hands to ever stay on track. So hat's off to you, Mods! You rock!!!

I used to belong to a very popular My Little Pony collecting messageboard. I had thousands of posts there, everyone knew and recognized me, all my friends online that I still have (even some who are on DOA!) pretty much came from there, and had really felt like I'd found a home. Eventually, it disbanded and morphed into other similar messageboards, but I never went to the original or secondary boards again. Many of us kept in touch through other means, but I still drifted, never really finding a place that I enjoyed as much or that kept me as interested.

Then, I found DOA. I joined so I could learn because in this hobby there is so.much.to.learn. When I first joined DOA, I was a little nervous about posting and joining in because everyone else seemed to know so much and I felt the moderators would be intimidating. But, I soon realized that the rules are common sense and easy to follow, and it is a safe place to explore this hobby, ask questions, commiserate and obsess with other owners, find people who live near me who like this hobby also, and just have a good time and escape while I have fun. I love the "ask the moderators" thread--it really helps us connect with you all and see that you're collectors just like us. You are all so wise, down-to-Earth, well-spoken, diplomatic, and gracious, and you do such a good job keeping this forum a place I like to visit every day because it is safe, fun, and educational!

I am so grateful to all the individuals along the way, those past and still present, for their dedication to keeping DoA vibrantly alive and well, that I might stumble upon it that fateful day and then share in the anniversary cheer of five years of success (not even counting the Yahoo years).

It is a pleasure and an honour to work with these women. In particular, I'd like to express my appreciation to Julia and Quiet Queen, my Galleries-mates, for their enthusiasm and dedication.

A significant share of DoA's administrative success, as I see it, lies in the hands of the membership, for so many of you support the moderation efforts by lending a hand with clean-up, identifying potential problems, suggesting solutions and bringing your own compassionate, watchful eyes to the community.

To this amazing team effort, huzzahs!
