Tenshi-no-Sato the Fifth Anniversary Fair (March 20-21, 2009)

Mamu is super sweet! I just love dreaming dolls. Is this the first Yo Tenshi dreaming doll? I know there are SwD YoSd's and Sei Tenshis, but am I right in that this is the first Yo Tenshi Swd? Either way, what an angel!

 

Green wings! Oh my goodness, is that new? I know about pink, blue, and orange wings, but not green. My Yuh might need a new pair of wings if they're making green ones now .

 

Thank goodness! I've been waiting for them to announce whether the event starts the 20th or 21st since I'm going to be in Japan then!

If there are new green wings I bet the event will be very popular!

They definitely are, the color is called Young Bamboo according to my friend who looked at the Japanese page for me.

3 different types will be available in young bamboo!

 

I love the color of the wings being released for this Sato fair. Too bad I don't have a Yo-Tenshi to put them on cuz I'll would totally get them. XD

 

Oh! If it's on the 20th, I can maybe at least go draw a number before I have to go pick up my mom from the airport. Now, the question is, does Tobin need a green pair of wings to match my rei's?

Just to clarify, SWD Mamu is normal skin. Shiratori and Byakuren are white skin.

Green is my favorite color too.

They sell all the option wings separately except for the angel specific shapes. I can't afford a new tenshi now either or I would be interested in the sleeping Mamu. Head for Miyako and tenshi body upgrade for someone here. Wings are my biggest doom though.

 

I'm going to the event and I hope I'm able to get a pair of young bamboo wings for one of my Yos. Last time Volks released a new color wing (the forget-me-not blue) around 1200 people showed up for the event and I drew an awful #.

SwD Mamu looks so sweet, I can't wait to see more pictures. I'm so excited to be going!

My two tenshi color twins Miki and Mako are going to be Pink and green, i thought i wouldent need color specific wings for them, but alas i was wrong!

Oh wow, the SwD Mamu is insanely adorable!

Does it mention if they're selling the angel robe outfits again? I'd kind of like to grab the Yo sized one and if there are a bunch after this event they'll probably be cheaper on Yahoo Japan.

 

The official site has only the three dolls and the green wings listed as release items, with no mention of any tenshi robes, unfortunately -- best of luck finding them!

 

What would be the best way to get my hands on a SwD mamu if i cant go to the event....

Spring's arrival tells the young buds to come out to meet us; such anticipation has been going on... But Mamu is still in dreams.

Perhaps it's because Mamu plays outside all day everyday until evening comes.

Little Mamu, still nestled up in sleep; as spring comes quickly around, Mamu's eyes will open... right?

 

Does SWD Mamu come with the thumb hand? it never shows that hand exept in the pictures with her sucking her thumb! so far if everything goes PERFECTLY she'll be mine. Another thing. Are the dolls preorder or available for sale at the event?

I'm not for certain, but recently all of the YoSDs have come with the order forms for the special option hands, so even if it doesn't, you could probably order them later

 

At Sato events, they have a certain number of dolls on hand for sale, but they usually let people place pre-orders once the ones on hand sell out. But once the on hand wings sell out, you're out of luck.

 

I was wondering on how they got her thumb in her mouth since usually yo-tenshis do not have double jointed elbows.

Just wanted to point out look carefully in the photo, there's a hand assisting to get the thumb in her mouth so she is thumb sucking. So thumb sucking is not a normal pose that doll can hold.

 

Sometimes there are Pre-orders for the Yo-tenshi and sometimes there are not it varies by the Sato event. I've attended 2 so far in March 2007 and October 2007. The events vary in attendance. There are always some number of dolls on hand for people attending the event who are fortunate enough to draw a good lottery number.

The March 2007 one where Yo SD Mamu was released there were no pre-orders taken and once Mamu sold out that was it. I am 99% sure it was the same for all Yo-tenshi released before Mamu as well.

In October 2007, Volks released White Yuki, and re-released Yuh and Yuki. There were no pre-orders of white Yuki and once the stock at the event ran out that was it. However Volks allowed anyone with a VS/VIP membership and invitation who went to Sato during a 2 week period to place a pre-order for Yuh and Yuki which is one reason if you watch Y!J they sell for a lot less now. I got Gino, my Yuki then. Other than this one event Volks has never taken unlimited pre-orders for a Yo-tenshi.

I am pretty sure Yo tenshi Yayoi had a limited number of pre-orders available, as well as stock, much like a LE at a Dolpa. I can't remember for Shizuku and Hinata.

Sometimes the events are fun and sometime they are a little too popular and grueling.

For all pre-orders you must have a Japanese mailing address.

I was confused and thought they were the normally available Sato ones at first but instead they're option hands H-08. I know they can be purchased through March 31 with an order form included with the Yos released at the Disney event. I'm not sure if the hands are in stock or if they're pre-order though.

 

AreeElf, I think the fingers in that photo belong to whoever was holding the News when they took the picture of that page. There is no hand in the actual photo spread.

 

Blah, it looks like I didn't win a spot for the Tenshi no Sato dinner party the night before Kyoto Dolpa.

Thanks for pointing that out. I stand corrected. I checked my thumbs up wearing yo. It does look like you can get an open mouth yo to do a slight thumb sucking pose, because the thumb is long enough and you can bend the head to meet the thumb.

I was trying to get my pinky swear hand to do Dr. Evil pose that one you do need assisted posing.

I called Volks and got the answer of the questions. I am happy if this helps you. You cannot fix Mamu's right arm at this position.

The support of your arm is necessary to maintain this pose. Mamu's right hand is this hand part which is sold as an option part. Mamu's left hand is a normal hand for usual Yo-SD/Yo-Tenshi.
Volks said, "Please be careful not to let lip-makeup come off when you try this pose." I asked about the photoshop, yes, they did it. In official pics, human hands are erased.

I hope we both get in too! And if not maybe we will meet at the event the day before or Kyoto Dolpa. This will be my first time attending Kyoto Dolpa as usually I just go to Tokyo events.

I always have awful luck with lotteries. ;;_;; I drew over #5000 at the GW Dolpa lol

BTW do you know if Volks will be taking FCS orders on either day of the Sato event for VS/VIP members?

 

You are welcome I do not know about the hold of CC but web site says Volks is planning to send e-mails to winners on 10th.
I've tried several Dolpa & AE at Sumika and most of numbers were too bad to take any item...only Cecile the Scar face (Kobe Cruise), Luna from web AE and Ryu from Dolpa came with lucky numbers. Over #5000 is my daily life.

My husband drew a good number for me at a Dolpa once! He was #421 which is how I got my Yo SD Shin. I've gotten lucky a few times with VolksUSA but the odds are so much better than any event in Japan. ;;_;; I've still managed to never win even a postcard set at a US event though. I am just not lucky. I was over 1200 at the last Sato event I went to. ;;_;;

But thank you so so so so much for both pieces of information. I guess I have to wait until the 10th to find out now.

"Hey! Mamu, I foooouuuund you!"

As soon as it was spotted, Mamu jumped up, surprised, and bumped it's little forehead on a bamboo.

"Owie-owowow~"

As Mamu rubbed it's forehead, the angel's wings on it's back, as if embarrassed, colored themselves the shade of young bamboo.

Such a pretty color with the feeling of the breath of spring, Mamu.

Actually I put it through some translation software and I think I didn't win.

Since with most events they don't send you anything if you don't get in, I just assumed since I got something it was an invitation.

I think I am going to see if my friend in Tokyo does have a spare ticket to see On/Off instead.
