Jan 31, 2014

    1. I was trying something new and I wanted to get some opinions on it before I sealed. Should I keep the white eyelash highlights over the eyeliner or not?

Any other crits are also welcome :3

    2. :o That looks great, can't see anything to critique. Well done

    3. The eyeliner is quite nice already, it's emphasize the eye shape very well. However I find the grey blush under the eyebrow is a bit too much that it feel looks like a smudge rather than eyeshadow. Maybe you can use darker brown instead grey.
But overall, it is really nice :)

    4. Personally I would remove the dark grey under the eyebrow, in human make-up that area is always highlighted. When you darken something you make it recede, on humans the brow bone sticks out; by darkening that area on a doll you make the face look less realistic. Sorry if I'm not making sense.

I'd try lightening that area just a little, and maybe blending the eyeliner a little but that's just personal preference.

The eyebrows and lips look gorgeous!

    5. Thank you Luan3! :D
Thank you twinage and suddenoats for your comments! I agree that he eyeshadow is waaaay to high. I was trying to make his eyes seem like they go deeper in his head and I didn't think of it until it was pointed out, which is why I post here :3 Next time I'll put the shadow in the crease and not on the brow bone.

How do you suggest blending the eyeliner, Sunndenoats? I may just being silly but I'm not certain what you mean.

    6. Great job, if you do want to keep the grey smudge under the eyebrows, maybe a different color would help.
I like the line job, on the the eyelashes, and the eyebrows.
I wondered if to add gloss to the lips, but I think they look great either way, it's a nice shade you used.

    7. wow quite strong character! great job! keep it up

    8. This is actually quite fantastic, the eyelashes over the liner is very cute and just a new look you don't see. Your line work is clear and very firm lovely job!

    9. DollAbbesse- Maybe a light pink or brown might look nicer. I'll try that next time. The lips and eyes are glossed now, I've just been lazy and haven't taken new pictures haha. His head is difficult to remove.

depoupee- Thank you! I've been working on the character he's based on for years, so I wanted to try and convey his personality through the faceup. Especially since I can't sew haha.

Kimievers- Thank you very much! I don't think anything I've done has ever been called fantastic, so your comment made me all happy :D

    10. I really like your blushing and eyebrows, and the eyeliner/pale lashed combo produces an unusual effect. I think the lashes should reflect the light quite well for photoshoots, although the pale colour at the roots makes them appear thinner. Nice work =)

    11. I love the eyebrows. Great shape to them and technique. Congratulations!

    12. Thank you LoulabeeleBlue! He actually has black eyelashes under the white highlights, but they weren't showing up well with the dark eyeliner, so I tried this. I'm glad it reads well :)

      Thank you Verpsertine.

    13. I really like the liner! So accurately and clear!

    14. WOW cool style! I like the black eye line, but I think if the eye line be more Finer and draw the Lower lashes clearly will be more beautiful

    15. Thank you Aeterna :D

Thanks for the advice Gina_re! I had intended for it to be thinner, but I was having trouble keeping the lines straight lol
