Telesthesia & Dragon new msd body

on taobao they are taking order for some of their sd heads that has been shrunk to msd size, including Xiao Bei, Du Xiaoju and a few others. Which you can order just the head or with the body.

Yeah, I'm not sure on this body either, the chest is so large it looks out of proportion. I like the heads though.

I ordered from Alice's Collections. I usually compare the options between Alice's and Legend and find both to be good dealers.

 

I just got a shipping notice for my Du Xiaoju on the 50cm body.

Also, Legend has new section for Telesthesia&Dragon 50-55cm dolls. There are two new choices, a 51cm body and a 52.5cm.

 

I’m looking forward to seeing how he looks! Just discovered these dolls from this thread - I wonder if they will look in scale next to the Sartoriaj MSD dolls, or the FID?

Ooh thank you so much, that's awesome!!! I haven't seen owner pics OR comparison pics of these three before at all, so that's so useful!!! They all look lovely - and quite different body shapes! I rather think I might be adding a doll or two to my wish list!

 

@strawberry_parade The head and faceup are awesome! I ordered the jointed hands with him and he came with them installed! They are very delicate and will take a little practice to pose well. I will try to get some good close up pictures tomorrow.

For the jointed hand, sizewise how do they compare with other msds, eg: AE/xaga, modeldelf, df-h, bimong narin or minifee?

The face up wasn't very expensive and I felt it was worth a try. I am very pleased!

This is my favorite size right now! I am amazed at how many have been released recently! My credit card is shaking in the corner.

The eyes that came with these guys are terrible! Here are the eyes have used:

Huajing Thorne, SOULinAbox 14mm extra small iris
Ringdoll Raymond, BjdEyesStudio 10mm/3mm
Telesthesia&Dragon Du Xiaoju, SOULinAbox 10mm

 

That’s disappointing they came with terrible eyes - but thank you for the recommendations for where to get better ones! This size is so hard to find. I’ll add that Heart of a Fairy makes wonderful small eyes too.

 

I'm just looking at this picture again and wondering... in your opinion, would the Telesthesia and Dragon head fit well on the Ringdoll body??? I got a Ringdoll boy recently but I disliked how small the head looked, so I sold it and am now on the hunt for a new head! I know Alice's Collections sell the Telesthesia and Dragon heads separately, and it does look just that bit bigger in the photo above so I think I'd be happier with it - but I'd really like to know your opinion, since you own both dolls! Thank you if you have the time to answer!!!

Here's a picture of the Telesthesia&Dragon Du Xiaoju head in normal pink skin on the Ringdoll normal skin body. The color match is good.


The Du Xiaoju head size is very similar to my Ringdoll Raymond. I don't know why the Zhou Yu head so much smaller!

Huh, that’s so weird to hear the Raymond head is bigger though?! I’d ruled out for myself all future Ringdoll releases in this size but maybe not! How odd they made the heads so different.

 

Just letting you know, telesthesia and dragon has 2 sizes of msd heads, one is for 7.3cm necks and the other is for 8.8cm necks. There’s a different set of heads for each size.

 

Oh dear I didn’t realise that at all! Thank you for letting me know! Now to work out which one to get and how to order the right one?!

EDIT: as far as I can tell 7.3 would be the right one. Comparing the neck size of the body types anyway - and also the Ringdoll neck is 7.4 so that seems right.

 

the ones listed on the acbjd 1/4 72cm vii listing should have the 7.4cm neck. (The head circumference should be 15.5cm for all the heads.)

What size eyes do these dolls use? Will 8mm work? I'm planning on ordering Xiao Bei specifically, and I want to make sure I get some eyes he can use.

 

I think that is a good guess. My Du Xiaoju has 10mm SoulinAbox eyes but he is larger.

 

@nancy_schroeder_ca when you have free time, do you mind doing comparison to see if their jointed hands can be used for males and females slim minis such as Model Delf, Bimong, minifee or AE/Xaga? Thank you very much

 

I used 10mm normal iris for my Mu YunJun (15.5cm head). They fit correctly in the sockets, but you may want smaller irises.

 

I think I'll probably get a cheap pair in both 8mm and 10mm. That way I can experiment to see which size looks best for a more permanent option.

 

Either way you will need small iris eyes.

 

The 10mm pair I bought have the smaller irises, at least. The 8mm ones are regular irises, so they'll probably be too large, but at least I can see how they fit in the sockets.

Hi, I'm waiting on my telesthesia 1/4 boy and was wondering if anyone can tell me how much do they weight? He'll be my first doll and I'd love to know^_^

 

My guys is ~1.75lbs with a wig, eyes, shirt, and pair of pants (he’s a 1/4 version of the 72cm v2 body)

I just went ahead and ordered this head (had some other expenses first) - thank you SO MUCH for your help is showing me it would work for my doll body! Very excited for when it will arrive. I wonder how long it will take? I ordered without a face-up, so hopefully that might speed things up a bit, but who knows? I'm just excited I was finally able to order!

 

I just got my 47cm boy with the Xiao Bei head. He's going to be Cloud from FF7, though he'll need custom eyes and wig to really look like the character; these are just some temporary ones so he doesn't have to go around bald or blind.

He's quite handsome. I feel like the body looks more muscular in person than in some of the pictures; it's slender, but leaning more towards "twunk" than pure twink, which is just what I wanted for him. He definitely wants 10mm eyes over 8mm to avoid gapping. Clothes-wise, he fit the standard 1/4 size from ACBJD pretty well, though the pants are on the short side, and the checkered hoodie in the picture above was a bit of a tight fit through the shoulders.

Figured I'd share some updates on Cloud, since I got a better-fitting wig and eyes.

The wig is from WSkyStudio on Etsy. It's a size 5-6 Strawberry Blonde, and fits perfectly. I cut and styled it myself. The shop owner was very helpful and accommodating; when I messaged her asking about a color match, she not only answered my question, but was willing to make it in a new color that wasn't listed on the shop yet. I'd definitely recommend them.

The eyes are made by Heart of a Fairy. I ordered custom 10mm eyes with 4mm irises, and they're a good fit. I think 10mm/3mm would also work. Getting them positioned was a pain, but that's going to be true for any eyes in this size, especially with flat backs. I would recommend them as well; it's pretty hard to find custom eyes this small, especially for that price.

Spoiler: Rambling about character eye color stuff

I went with the Alice Blue color, and it's very pretty, but it's not as intense as the picture on the site; the blue is darker, and the green isn't very visible, so the eyes don't have that almost eerie glowing effect. I don't know if it's just my monitor, if it's batch variation, or if the smaller size affected how the colors came out. They still work for Cloud, but they feel almost like a halfway point between his pre-SOLDIER and post-SOLDIER colors. That said, exactly what color his eyes are, and how noticeable the glowing is, varies a lot depending on the source, and even in-game lighting, so they match at least some versions of him.

 

Hi! I was looking for information about the telesthesia scaled down bodies and I ran across this thread.

I want to embody a character who is a short boy, shorter than my 1/3 58 cms girl, which is quite difficult, I know. I once created a short boy with a vito body and a 1/3 Merry Doll Round head and he looks great, but I know not all bodies work. I wonder if anyone here could take a comparison picture of one of these Telesthesia boys close to a 1/3 girl to see if the proportions would work?

Here's a couple pictures. I included one without Cloud's wig so you can get a better sense of his actual head size. He's one of the 47cm guys as opposed to 50cm, and the girl doll in the picture is I think around 56cm? (My other 1/3 girls are Dollfie Dreams, who definitely clash more stylistically.) They don't look as off together as I thought they would, but I can't see a 1/3 head fitting on his body at all.
