Telesthesia and Dragon Doll waiting room

I just put the MSD sized Du Xiaju head on order - in normal pink skin with the 7.3cm neck to fit my Ringdoll body! I'm hoping it doesn't take a really long time as it's just a head and I ordered without a face-up, but who knows? Looking forward to this body not being headless again! I really like his smile, so I hope I can get a faceup done that accentuates that. But first he has to get here!

 

I ordered the 1/4 version of Xiao Bei through ACBJD about a month ago (along with clothes and other accessories), and the order status is listed as "processing." Usually I would expect that to mean that ACBJD is processing the order and has yet to send it to the manufacturers, but I can't see any reason for that to take a month. I figure that I'm just misunderstanding what it means, but I wanted to ask if anyone else knew. It's my first time ordering a doll through them.

 

No she puts it in as soon as you pay, the processing part is simply that the manufacturer is making your doll.

 

Okay, that's what I figured it meant, but I wanted to make sure.

 

After a full 6 months of waiting, t&d says they "aren't able to locate" the mold for Zhu and can't cast her. They offered to me a random other msd instead, but I've asked for a refund.

Still no ETA on the replacement Qinyan. It will be one year waiting as of next month.

 

Oh yikes, that doesn’t sound good!!! I think I would have thought twice about ordering if I’d known they did that sort of thing?! (At least I only ordered a head!) I hope you can get it sorted out.

 

Just got a note from Alice's. They shipped my Xiao Ling. Took them three months and a half to make him. ^^
Now I hope he arrives undamaged.

I'm still waiting on my Du Xiaoju, it's been almost three months now! I'm being patient and keeping busy, though it's a bit hard not to keep checking on the order status since he'll be my first resin doll>_<

Du Xiaoju is a beautiful sculpt. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you won't have to wait for him much longer.
I remember when I was waiting for my first doll. I couldn't stop watching box opening videos on Youtube, lol. In the end I even got so impatient that I started creating a BJD with modelling clay, just to have one sooner. XD
I still have him sitting on my shelf, he turned out pretty cute. XD

 

I've watched a lot of box opening videos too! Along with buying some fabric and such so I can make him basic clothes as soon as he gets here I've tried making my own BJD before, but it turned out real bad xD do you have any pictures of your handmade guy?

Honestly the wait would be so much harder if I didn't have my offtopic bjds^_^ (and a lot of actual work to do)

Meh, the delivery guy just showed up, with my package in his arms. And then he asked for the tax payment, in cash. That totally caught me off guard. Every time I ordered something from China they delivered the package and asked me to pay within two weeks. And now it's all of a sudden a different procedure. They could have mentioned it somewhere in our conversation, at least.
So, end of the story. I didn't have enough cash at home, so he didn't give me the package. We'll try again on Monday, sigh..

 

Oh that sucks!! Hopefully you get him safe later, it's really weird how they didn't say anything and wanted you to pay cash:/

Well, paying cash is still a thing in Germany, hehe. I just didn't expect it this time, because all the other times before it was different. Oh well, I waited more than three months, I can wait another three days. XD

It will take them 4-6 more weeks to ship him though, which is over a month longer than the listed waiting period- I ordered him on the 1st of MarchI'm getting a little impatient since he'll be my first resin doll>_< I've been doing my best to not impulse buy second hand/in stock dolls in the meantime!! Gotta preserve money to buy him things instead lol

 

I finally got a tracking number for my replacement Qinyan, it's been over a year since I ordered so I really hope he's right this time

I wanted to check in on my Piao Chiyue that I ordered on March 1st. I mostly had questions about his anatomy, because of what I heard about the recent changes to dolls in China. I was also told it would be another month to wait. Which is fine. I thought some of you that ordered dolls from Telesthesia & Dragon before the change might be interested in the response that I got back.

Quoted response from email:
Due to the new regulations in China, the doll companies won't send extra JJ-parts with their dolls anymore, but please don't worry, the dolls will still come with a default JJ (penis), and it only affects those large dolls that used to come with extra JJ-parts, it doesn't affect other dolls since the didn't have extra JJ-parts in the first place. It doesn't affect your order either, your Piao Chiyue will still come with extra JJ-parts

 

My replacement Qinyan arrived today, after almost 14 months since I ordered him. The dark tan isn't like this one at all, which is what I was hoping for. But I'm not going to fight it again, I'm just glad he's home. His faceup is beautiful too Here he is next to a Luts SDF in terra cotta color:

@ArtsyCreature I was wondering if you had any updates on your order. We ordered the same day, but from two different places. I ordered from ACBJD. I asked about my order, and I was recently told mine would be another month.

I am guessing that even though we ordered from two different places, the dolls might be finished at about the same time? I can hope? If your doll is getting to you, mine shouldn't be far behind.

I hope both of our dolls get sent soon!

 

@RabbidBunnies I was told it would be 4-6 more weeks at the start of june, but I didn't get any updates after that:/ So yeah, seems like it will still take a while. I'll tell you when he ships tho! As for now, it's been about a month since the supposed shipping time and I know I should be patient, but he'll be my first resin doll so I'm checking my email and the website a lot>_<

My order included jointed hands for him, but I don't think the wait should be cumulative? So hopefully they'll get here soon

 

@ArtsyCreature That's rough when it's your first doll taking forever. I know the pain. My first one was Dollzone Carter. He took 8 months to get to me. After 4 months I got anxious, after 6 months I got worried, I finally emailed Christina (Jeeryama/Clover Singing) and asked.

It was my first doll and everyone told me long wait times were normal, so I didn't think to ask. I was a total newb. She told me never let it go long past 4 months before asking, it doesn't hurt to ask. Great advice that I remember to do now. She checked with the company Dollzone, apparently the doll had got lost in shipping.

Dollzone sent me a new one. He finally got to me in August and I had ordered at the end of December the previous year. It was so nerve wracking. I was so happy when he finally got home, but also fatigued from all the worry.

I hope you boy gets shipped to you soon!

 

@RabbidBunnies Oh that's such a long time! It must have sucked:/ did the first doll ever come to you or was it lost forever?
I sent two messages to Erica of legenddoll so far, one at the start to confirm the payment went trough and the second to ask about the timeline since the wait time was listed as 3 months and we're now past that.
I'm consoling myself with the thoughts that I can get better at sewing/wig making before he comes home... I'm fully styling him myself (clothes, faceup, wig), so there's a lot to learn!

 

@ArtsyCreature No, Dollzone just sent me the replacement. I think they got the first one back to them eventually.

At least your doll will have plenty of clothes waiting for him when he gets to you! I love sewing for them and making them furniture. I am not good at making wigs though!

 

I finally decided I would ask how much longer my 1/4 Du Xiaoju head would be, and they said they woud check and then he was posted out the very next day!!! So I don't know if they forgot about him until I reminded them or what?! Anyway - he's here now, and is so handsome and cute with his little smile, and matched very well on the ringdoll body I got him for! Now I have to work out what I want exactly and find a face-up artist - but it's good to know he's going to work out!!!

@RabbidBunnies I just got a message that my boy will take about a month longer. Did yours get any shipping updates? The "a month longer" message has appeared two times now, so I'm not trusting it 100%

 

I ordered him 25/3, so it was about 5 months. But I wonder if he was ready earlier as he only shipped out once I asked! It’s about a standard time for them I think but I guess a blank head might otherwise be quicker than a full doll?

 

Nothing yet. I last asked on July 13th, and was told a month. It's a blank doll, no faceup so I was hoping it wouldn't take that long.

I got mine through ACBJD and I have never had any problems with them. I do trust the dealer. It's just the wait has been much longer then I expected.

I have no idea what the standard wait for this company is. On the waitlist it looks like 3-5 months. But we are both going on 6 months here. I might ask for another update soon as I haven't heard anything yet.

 

Yeah, I don't think it's a dealer problem. It seems like telesthesia has gotten more popular recently and are unable to deal with the orders in time. Wouldn't be so bad if they just listed the actual wait time, but this is a little sad hopefully the 3-4 weeks estimate is accurate and we get them soon!

just ordered rabbit ears butler buroy after eyeing him for a bit. i was torn between him or some of the others because they're all so cute but he was calling to me the most so i had to get one. i havent seen any owner pics of him so i plan to take many. fingers crossed that td sends a decent faceup as well

 

My Piao Chiyue got here yesterday afternoon! I'm super happy with him. I still need to do faceup, body blush, and get him dressed, but I am just very relieved to have him home. The wig I have for him fits perfectly, so Yay!

@ArtsyCreature Thank you! Yes, I have a lot of plans. Much of his story has already been written for future photo shoots. Having him in person with me will help flush out the story more, as I can picture him better, and not just in my head.

But no, haven't heard a peep from my boy:/ I was thinking that, since I ordered from legenddoll, maybe they waited a little bit and sent off multiple orders to telesthesia at once? I mean, it's the only thing that would make sense, besides maybe the jointed hands being so finnicky to make that the whole thing is delayed

 

i'm back here again, sadly not with news of delivery but yet another purchase haha. 1/4 Du Xiaoju head is on his way and i'm planning to hybrid him onto a ringdoll 1/4 body later on. for anyone else's reference, someone compared the two resins for me and Telesthesia's normal pink and Ring doll's normal skin are basically the exact same except TD's is very minorly paler which is easily solved with a faceup. currently trying to figure out what aesthetic to go for with this Xiaoju's faceup as i've seen many of him so far

 

Just ordered a 72cm body version II in normal pink from doll legenddoll.net! Can't wait to get it!!! Upgrading from my 68 cm body.

 

I ordered one of Telethesia's special 51cm scaled down bodies in light tan from Legenddoll.net. Fingers crossed it matches the Tianba Lev head I bought for him. Hopefully they are both cast and mailed swiftly.

 

My boy still hasn't been sent... Erica from legenddoll apparently contacted telesthesia directly, and they're supposed to mail him to her this week. Hopefully it's true this time and I get him soonThey still wouldn't tell me what exactly went wrong for him to take longer than other telesthesia orders- it's been 7months now! @ArtsyCreature I was wondering about your doll the other day. I even checked this thread hoping that you had gotten him. It's insane that he hasn't come home to you yet. It's been a month since mine has been home, and like you said we ordered on the same day.

I hope they figure out what went wrong. Maybe the order got lost? I really hope that you get him sent to you this week. I'm looking forward to you updating with pictures of the box opening, and being able to join in the sewing challenge with him.

 

@ArtsyCreature - you’re not alone. I place an order with Erica for a telesthesia boy back at the start of March and I figured it was taking extra long possibly due to being full set or something but seems there’s a bit of backlog going on.

MY BELOVED HAS FINALLY BEEN SHIPPED!!!!!!
Just three days away from 8 months of waiting, my boy had finally been shipped today! I really really hope he comes home soon without any issues I've been waiting for him for so long!! Just got the shipping notification an hour ago

I guess that he got jealous or something, since I just ordered another doll yesterday...

He's finally home in a little over a week, it would have been 9 months since I ordered him, but the wait was worth it.
Honestly, I haven't had such a strong feeling of reverance as I did unboxing him in years. He's perfect the smile, the tiny, delicate jointed hands,the smoothnes of the resin... also, he's the perfect size! Some of my waiting was spent second-guessing my choice to go for the 1/4 size, thinking he'd be too tiny (ever since I had a nightmare that he became a granado 1/12 doll lol), but he's great.


The hair I'll be giving him! Also, those jointed hands are tiny and so so so cute

Anyway, time to get to work! I already decapitated him, so that his head will get the first coat of sealant while I get to work on his clothes.

got my TD buroy after a five month wait, not too bad, the unfortunate thing is thar he ended up arriving with a chipped neck on the head so i have to wait for a new one now

Glad you got him but sad to hear about the chip. Hopefully they can get you a replacement quickly. Did you go through a dealer or from TD directly?

I’m going into month 11 of my wait for my TD doll.

 

thankfully I used ACBJD, she was able to negotiate with them for me as they didnt want to replace it with a faceup head, only a blank one despite me having the faceup one originally. Hopefully your doll is here soon, complaining helps a lot in any case although I heard TD has been very behind recently

 

I enjoy going through ACBJD, she’s always so nice to work with, I went through Legenddoll for mine this time. And wonderful to hear she negotiated a replacement with the faceup instead of just a blank sculpt, you paid for a faceup and you certainly should get one included with the replacement. Fingers crossed they get that to you soon! Happy with everything otherwise?

And yeah the doll I ordered was full set and it seems like that REALLY slowed things down, as opposed to a blank doll. Just gonna have to wait it out!

 

oh yeah i only had a basic doll w faceup so that may be why, in terms of everything else i think the quality is really good, it stands and poses well and the faceup quality is great. the resin doesnt smell and it is very nice to the touch as well. overall im quite happy with it aside from that small issue
