Telesthesia and Dragon Doll waiting room

Congrats! I was also looking for Telesthesia waitlist and ended up here.
I've ordered Susan (MSD) on July10th also through Alice's Collections. I hope the waiting time will pass by quickly for both of us! I've been asking around and I got different responses about the wait time, from two to six months...

but I have no idea how.

 

Ah! You and me both. I ordered Susan after passing her up for other dolls. I just couldn't do it anymore and finally ordered her last month from Sunny's World on Taobao.

Perhaps the mods can do it? I can look around and see if it's something I can create on my own.

 

Oh, that's great! What a coincidence. I was trying to find Susan owner pics and I couldn't find them anywhere on DOA, Facebook, Instagram, Google...I was sure she will be first here and now there will be two Susans.

I can't wait to see what you will do with her. Mine will actually be in tan resin, I'm quite excited. Which body type did you order?

I couldn't find any way to create a new wait list in the Wiki..might be only for the Mods?

 

That is very true. I couldn't find anything anywhere and I was so sad. She's such a cute little doll that it's sad no one else seems to have her. Hopefully we can lead a revolution.

I got her in tan too! I'm not sure which body type she'll be on. I didn't really think about it when I ordered to be completely honest. I'll be happy with either but I really hope she'll be on the newer body. It's so pretty and I don't have a doll with just a two part torso since I opt for three parts for all the dolls I currently have. Which one did you get?

What kind of theme are you going for your doll? She was going to be my Steampunk Detective but I don't know now. I just ordered some long flowing Victorian like dresses so maybe that'll be her theme.

I wanted to order Gloria too because she's just too cute with her sheep horns. I smile each time I look at her. I'm placed a "One Doll Per Company" rule for myself so that way I can experience lots of dolls from many companies but she really makes me want to break it.

I think the Wiki thing is just for mods. I thought it would be as simple as hitting a create button but I digress.

 

No way you got tan too! I got the three part torso so I wish you will have it as well.
To be honest, I couldn't find a way to order her in tan in Taobao so in the end I went to Alice's.

She would look so badass as a Steampunk Detective! But I'm also looking forward to seeing her in Victorian style. We'll have to share a lot of pictures and make Susan more popular.
Mine will be kind of cool punk girl with a piercing and facial tattoo. I already did a little mockup of her.

So far I'm also trying to have just one doll from a company. But she will be my fourth doll (excluding floating heads) so it may change in the future. I want to try as many companies as well, I love comparing different styles of them.

 

Yeah, the tan thing was a trip. O_O Before I ordered I had my agent check to see if it was something Sunny's World could order for me and they said yes. After that TBTrends modified my order price and I put the changes to my order in their check out box. Let's just hope she comes out right. If not, it's not a big deal. I love her face anyway and that's the reason I wanted her.

I really like that concept! It looks so different from the official art. From girly to more mature and sassy. I think bright red lips would suit her very well because of the shape of her lips. They almost scream for a sharper color. I can't wait to see her all done up! I got her with the default face up because I'm creative just not THAT creative or talented to paint a doll's face on my own.

I think we really should. I don't have Instagram or any Social Media account but I may get an Instagram account just to post pictures. I think there needs to me more Telesthesia love because their dolls really are beautiful. I honestly fell in love with one of their SD boys. They create lovely looking dolls.

 

Thank you! I think the sculpt has so much potential, I can imagine her both cute and innocent looking and more dark and mature. Alice's just had an event for free faceup so she will come to me with the default face as well. I'll see how I like it and either just put on the red lip or give her a complete makeover.
I hope you get the tan but yeah, she's so pretty in normal skin already.
I was also tempted with buying Lili or XunYiCao, they really have a lot of lovely sculpts.

I feel like I am the only one who ordered
Gloria, I wanted a big ctubby msd baby this time around (n_n), I didn't order her with free makeup becuase I plan to do it on my own for all my dolls.

 

I just placed my layaway order for Upsilon today! I don't normally like non human dolls, but I've been looking at him for months and decided I like him too much. He'll also be my first doll to come completely blushed and with face up from the company, and with free jointed hands (Thanks Alice!). I couldn't get the fullset, but his outfit is pretty simple, and I'm looking forward to using up my spare beads to custom make all his jewellery and stuff!

My fist ever BJD was on a telesthesia body, so kinda nice to go back to where I started!

I make costumes, and wanted to find a doll that suited making mini costumes for. Her photos definitely gave me that 'cosplay character' vibe so I got her in normal skin! I'm excited to make characters' costumes for her, since I can't attend game conventions myself at the moment. And sewing for dolls is cheaper than a person haha

 

Susan has such a sweet face! Did you order her via Alice collections?

 

I ordered Upsilon and I am DYINGGGGG, I just finished paying him off!! I ordered him through Alice Collections but it'll take another thirty days apparently ;A; There's no box openings of him in the meantime to make me feel better either. Argh!

SO excited! Just ordered my first doll ever! She is a Telesthesia DiFei. Yay! I also ordered a simple outfit, and a few wigs, one of which I am going to modify. Got a few eyes and an event doll as well. Ordered through Alice's Collections ^.^ Let the waiting begin...

 

Got news from Alice that upsilon has had his make up and should be on the way soon! They put his tattoo on the wrong arm, but I said that was fine.... at least he’ll be different! XD

EDIT 12.20: just got my shipping email! I’ve had a terrible week, so knowing Upsilon is finally on his way is great.

 

Right? I am sooo excited. I asked Alice before I ordered and was told the wait is 3 to 6 months. Hopefully it will be closer to 3, especially since theres a good chance I'll be moving this summer.

I ordered at the end of September, so is been four and a half months. But I ordered Upsilon with make up and body blushing, so that probably took longer. Also they made a mistake with his makeup, so they had to ask me to confirm if it was okay. ^_^

I checked the tracking and it says he’s due on the 13th! I’m kind of attached already as I’ve been having a terrible time the last couple of weeks, so it’s like he’s showing up to cheer me up a bit. I don’t usually follow shipping, but I’ve been enjoying watching the tracking status to see where he is now (currently in the air between Hong Kong and the UK).

 

Yay! Is that a nomal time for dolls to be shipped? Little over a week? It will help me to know.

 

So, good news is, he arrived a day early. Bad news is, he’s missing his head cap and horns! Yup, open skull. I ordered from Alice’s so I’ve contacted them and they replied quickly to say they’ll contact the company about it, but I was so excited to get him and now... I stuffed his head with tissue and put a wig on so he wouldn’t look too bad.



I’ve named him Calisto. I feel bad for him. And I had to make underpants out of socks because certain ‘parts’ keep falling off...

 

Oh that is so sad...omg. at least you have most of him. heehee. that's funny. are his parts permanent or can you remove them so he can wear things properly?

 

Yeah, hopefully Alice’s will get them for me.

They are removable, but... y’know, they poor bloke is already missing half his skull so I think he’d rather keep the other body parts. XD jokes aside, I think it’s weirder to just have a little magnet there.

Never really thought of that. I never plan to show my dolls nude though, so I guess for me it wouldn't matter. I haven't found a male doll I like yet though, so I won't have to worry for now. Anyway. I hope you figure out how to work around his parts. I have seen lots of posts about people having issues fitting clothes aorund man parts, so hopefully you can find something that works. Or fund an artsy way to show off his magnet. like make a tattoo of a flower or sun around it. Do something fun with it to show it off.

I just ordered a Telesthesia FeiHuaDeng in tan skin, blank and with a bunch of extra stuff from AC so I don't have to order from around everywhere! With the fees it was a little more expensive than expected, but hey, let's hope she ships closer to the 3 rather than 6 month mark!

 

I have FeiHuaDeng on layaway with BJDivas - fullset, white skin. Very, very excited! I have a feeling she might arrive sooner on BJDivas' side, vs. Dollshe, so I'm working on paying her balance as quickly as possible.

I'm hoping to set up a future layaway for WeiYueJin and Upsilon, but they'll have to wait for me. ;.; Hopefully Upsilon will still be available!

 

Congrats on the layaway! I asked Alice Collections as to how long it would take for her to be made, they replied 3-4 months. I’m in the beginning of the 4th month now, so I should have her (hopefully) soon!

I'm still waiting on my girl from TD through Alice Collections. I emailed on August 8th about updates, and was told 20 more days. So about a week more as I'm guessing they are business days. Here's to hoping soon!

 

As of the 10th of September, T&D Doll quoted Alice Collections another 2 weeks. So here's to seeing whether they keep their promise this time (I doubt it)!

I have FINALLY gotten a shipping notice and tracking number. The wait is nearing its end!

 

Well my girl arrived....

She’s pretty, but arrived with a broken finger, the magnet for her ears are flipped so they repell, and her bust is large... already wrote to AC...

 

Okay, I managed to flip the magnets in the ears, reattached the finger until I can get a replacement hand, and got my girl dressed/wigged.

Oh she's gorgeous!! That's so unfortunate about her finger though. I hope the re-attach stays strong! I kinda wonder why they even list the S bust if they have no reference photos of it anywhere ..... maybe it doesn't even exist. They made it up.

I'm (still) hoping to pay my girl off very soon - dentistry work bites. x.x I kept thinking, while sitting in the chair for a root canal, crown, and six fillings, 'I'd rather have paid off my Fei doll than suffer this' lol. And I'm not done yet, I have to go back in November for more of the same. I thiiiiiink I might just get her fully paid off in November though, between the 1st and 15th paychecks (+ shipping from BJDivas). So very excited to meet her.

 

Thank you, And I'm certainly confused on her bust size now, as I looked at the listing and it said 28cm for the small, and 29.2cm for the large bust. When I measured her she was always 28.5cm. Do I have some sort of magical Medium bust??

I feel you on the dentistry stuff, I've been to the dentist 4 times in the last 1.5 months, and need to go again on Monday (root canal, and problems with it)-


In better and more on topic news, I changed my girls outfit. I'm hoping to paint her today when the morning fog clears. The finger fix is quite solid (drilled a hole into both parts and glued a tiny metal rod in place to strengthen the fix). I'm hoping they will send me a replacement hand at least. The bust I can live with and the ears I already fixed.

 

I forgot to post in here that I'm expecting a Tan "Wei Yue Jin SP" with a pair of jointed hands also in tan from Alice's Collection I put in the order like 2 weeks ago! So excited for the boy! He makes me happy in looking at his pretty sculpt.

Holy Cow! Six months!

Wow! It's been a while since I had to wait 6 months for a doll. I guess I better get use to the thought. I ordered a Dragon Doll Caesar in September. I was hoping he'd appear in 3-4 months. Oh well...guess he'll be my Spring 2020 baby. (if I'm lucky)

Here's a photo of him. I got him for a character that needed to be very squared-jawed and manly, but a little on the caveman side.

 

Still waiting for the EMS tracking number for my Lan Yu jin full set. Dolk already sent me a photo of the doll with the clothes included about 2 days ago. LOL I am literally counting days and checking my emails consistently. I can't wait for him to get home!

 

The hype is real - I'm pretty sure my FeiHuaDeng is nearly complete and I'll hear from BJDivas about Telesthesia shipping any day now. My partner said she'd split the final amount due on Fei's layaway on the 15th, so she'll be paid and we'll be ready. I need to email BJDivas about adjusting for the fullset due to Telesthesia's loss of fabrics + not including the wig, but I feel like the amount there will probably still equal shipping to me + insurance, so it's fine.

I've got two wigs picked out (but I'll probably just order one this month and maybe 1-2 in December for her), a sweater, some white denim trousers, and possibly even some shoes.

I realized, just recently, that I'm a foolish ninny and the fullset didn't include 'high heel feet' but, hopefully I can sort that out in a future order. Once Fei's home, I'm planning on setting up a layaway for WeiYueJin (closed eye ver. + open eye head + mask), all blank in white resin, and Xunyicao blank in yellow resin (with additional heel feet, dangit self).

At some point I need to figure out what I'm doing about Upsilon, because he's noted as limited. I'm wondering if I should order his head, then worry about a body later (I figured just regular body + jointed hands), but I'm undecided because the hooves are lovely. For the character I have in mind, though, he's... a dragon, so I don't need the hooves.
