Tea time! ^_^

lol, i have a whole room devoted to tea and cake!! there's even little lemon halves so they van have a bit of lemon w/ their tea ... but no sugar. I have yet to find 1/3 scale sugar





I need to take new photos, i now have an lovely chandelier there too.

 

Lawrence LOVES tea (^^). He hates it when it isn't brewed properly and the tea leaves end up being stewed--->you might as well be eating veggie soup (^^)'

He likes all kinds. I personally like Assam-it goes well in the morning with a splash of milk and a slice of apple bread, yum! In the summer it's all about a tall glass of Tai iced tea (^____^).

As for tea parties outside, I always take Lawrence since tea is his favorite and he'll get upset if I leave him behind. I usually take him to a trendy tea bar nearby or Starbucks if I'm lazy... Hopefully I can take him out for some tradtional tea sometime soon.

Here's Lawrence with a nice mug of Earl Grey. Pip usually likes to take a dip in the scalding liquid and use the lemon as a sponge if Lawrence doesn't drink it fast enough (^^)'.

 

We start the day with a cup of Earl Grey!! Ha, ha, it rhymes. Well here's my little Peaches (Pocket Fairy) having tea with her friends. We couldn't find a tea pot so she filled the coffee pot with masses of tea!!!
This is so cute and I'm enjoying seeing all the pix. Wonderful!
When we want a cup of tea, we call it a cuppa, or having a cuppa, and when we go for tea, we're having dinner. Just a lot of words really, but we all understand it here in the UK. It's nice to share cultures.

Ooh, I just bought my dolls a tea set! Now I have to find tables and chairs in the right size, and have an Alice themed tea party!
In the meantime, they're still enjoying having a nice cup of tea together...

..even the vampire is enjoying it!

My girl Mariya loves tea-time as well. She has two tea-sets (at the moment!) and she seems to like any kind of tea as long as it's accompanied by cakes or other sweet things. she loves scampering around in frilly dresses so is always ready for a tea party--whether it's with Edna Panda (who actually prefers beer...*sigh*) or just watching her favourite anime.

 

My dolls table is always set for tea.

 

We have tea parties a lot at my house! Just dug up a few more pics. This tea set (#3!) I got at a Nagoya doll event called "iDoll" for something like 500 yen. And it even has tea in the cups! Well, actually it looks more like hot chocolate, but that's nice too and nobody's complaining.

 

About 2 weeks ago, we had an impromtu tea party on my front lawn:

I just bought a Luts tea set for my darlings lately and since then I've had great fun setting up tea scenes.

 

A simple cup of tea


(The tea cups are antique doll china, owned by a friend.)

 

I am a complete tea addict, both as a drink and as an unneccesary but gloriously indulgent late afternoon meal.

I don't take tea with my dolls. I couldn't do that with a straight face. But I have gathered a range of tableware that is used when they are sitting about or for shoots. Most of it is antique, which is wonderful fun to track down and can be got relatively cheaply from charity shops, if you have the patience. And there is lots of food that looks in scale, such as packets of mini biscuits. Petit fours cases are also exactly the right size to make dolly cupcakes, which is a lovely afternoon activity with the children.

Tea In the Garden

My girl likes to have her tea in the back garden.

 

Shulamith (FCS F-16 Sunlight girl) plies the Sparrow Sisters (Elfdoll Monaeme Sisters) with high-powered lattes, using a red dotty Rement teaset...

No good came of this, as you can well imagine...

 

Well, I don't drink coffee at all, so when it gets cold enough here I love to start my day with a cup of tea...or end it with one. Or have iced tea when it's hot. I love tea.

Here is a tea party put on by Sophie, the puki when I found the tea set I played with as a child. Andre was required to participate and play the part...he was NOT happy.



And here is Sophie, tickled pink by the tea set that's her size! I just found it at Hobby Lobby in the doll house section along with miniature food (not pictured here).

I drink about 4-6 cups of green tea a day so I suppose most of the time I spend with my dolls is tea time. XD

We had a tea with my aunts over Christmas, which included a small dolly tea set-up on one corner of the table. Borrowing some pictures my sister took (since she can't upload them at the mo' anyway)-- her doll and mine. The bench is actually my mum's, a Goodwill find, and the tea set is mine-- well, Vince's.



I think this is the best one, at least for showing off the tea party atmo. For instance, you can see my sister's girl sneakily eying the candy dish (Tatiana, that truffle is bigger than your hand, girl!) I'll have to take more pictures the next time we have tea... (or at least of Vince having tea with his faceup in place...)

Sorry, no. We almost never drink tea. My resin children and myself are coffee addicts. You might think that cup is big, but it's the same scale as mine. 6 dl of strong, black coffee is my breakfast! And Johnny's:
