Tarz - 70cm Male BJD

Jul 19, 2014

    1. Sooo, this is a project I started a while ago(a long while ago) and recently picked up to see if I still desire to finish it. It needs... A LOT of work XD

The concept for the jointing is a combination of some of the joints I have seen on different BJDs and the jointing I have on a few of my pose-able action figures and some stuff I wanted to try to see if it worked in motion while looking nice aesthetically to me.

I only have the two torso pieces(not finished, not even close) so far with plans to start on the arms next. I've fiddled with trying to get the torso pieces how I want them three different times now, but I think I've finally solidified how I want them to work! So I'll be taking the next parts a little more seriously.

I do work 60-70 hours a week with my only day off being Sunday(per request, or I'd still be working 70-80 hour weeks XP ) and that day is usually used to catch up on sleep, so progress will be veeerrryyy slow going XD I also no longer have any consistent place to work on things, but I'll figure that out as I find time XD

Sooo, without further ado, here is the concept sketch and In-Progress pieces of Tarz as of 7/19/2014!

    2. You got some nice things happening there. Hope you find the time and place to wok on it.
You work 80 hours a week? Are you a lawyer? Hope you get paid a lot for your 30-40 hours overtime.

    3. Looks like a good start. What materials are you using?

    4. Switchum - Thank you! I actually work two jobs(which don't pay as much as I would like), but I may be saying good bye to my part-time job soon since my full-time job hired me on permanently~ Which means more time for sculpting! If I don't supplement the part-time job with lots of over-time... Heehee...

Lillith - I'm using paper clay, I actually have two colors mixed together(which is confusing me a little, I may have to fix that) because I ran out of the original clay I was using and when I went back to Michael's they didn't have it anymore(that's what I get for shopping clearance XD )
