Tape that wont leave residue on doll resin?

Feb 11, 2005

    1. I'm going to blush my doll's lips instead of painting them, but I want the upper lip to have a very clear cut off, if that makes sense, while the bottom lip is soft and blurred. So I want to make a sort of tape-stencil to put above her lip and us it to give her upper lip a nice clean edge.

So... after all the rambling... what kind of tape would be good to use to make the stencil? I think, maybe, someone used tape for her eyebrow stencils... but I'm not sure. And the search engine hate me... XD

    2. I've used white or blue artist's tape with no problems. Drafting tape should work the same. All are low-tack tapes and should not 'grip' enough to leave residue. ^-^

    3. :: drums her fingertips together :: Excellent.

    4. If I can make a suggestion, use liquid frisket, make sure that it says non-staining on the bottle and follow the instructions. once you are done it peels right of.

    5. The only problem with liquid frisket is that the pinkish color does tend to stain an eensy bit and you can't make a stencil perfectly with it because you have to paint it on.
