Hello, I am sorry if this isn’t the right section of the forums. I am new here... I would like to know how to find a proxy for/how to use taobao and such websites. Please help me with your precious knowledge! Thanks!
The easiest way is to pick the shopping service you like most (Superbuy is the most popular, I've also used CSSbuy and I've seen people recommend Parcelup here), sign up, and use their internal search for the type of items you're interested in. Most don't allow using PayPal any more, but there are other payment options. Usually there is a wallet system where you top it up with money first, and then use it to buy the stuff you want. The shopping agent will then purchase those for you, they arrive at the Chinese warehouse, and you can then consolidate wares and have it shipped to you. It is almost always cheaper in the end to do a "rehearsal packaging" or a similar option that the proxy offers, as they can then pack the stuff more compactly and save on shipping fees. They also offer tariffless shipping routes, meaning the parcel will make use of a triangular route to avoid customs fees BUT I don't know how this will go down with what happens to other Chinese imports to EU in 2026. If you're looking for very specific items, you can get a taobao link directly to the listing, copy it into the proxy service's search bar, and proceed as described above. You should be able to sign up to TB with a phone number, and use machine translation to navigate the site, but honestly I never managed to sign up directly so YMMV.
I have only tried superbuy, but I have been using them for years have never had any issues with them, they have excellent customer service, can definitely recommend. I started out having them buy stuff for me, but now I mostly just buy things myself and have them shipped to their warehouse. If you decide to make a Taobao account and buy things yourself, make sure to verify your account before making any purchases or your account might get banned.
