Taobao Agent...

Nov 16, 2015

    1. Ok... I have a question... I have been looking for a taobao agent and came across this one... http://www.frugirls.com/en

Has anyone ever heard of or used them before?

    2. Never heard of this agent. My friend used taobaotrends.com before. Apparently they have a fairly good reputation by the words from another ongoing Taobao related post. :) good luck and I hope you find an agent - great prices there!

    3. I have looked into taobaotrands... But they are too expensive for me right now... This one is cheaper :)

    4. Oh, my apologies! I don't know the prices because it was my friend unfortunately who used it. What's the difference in price if I may ask?

    5. Between 20-60$ USD depending on weight of doll (70cm doll) and which shipping company I choose... That's 28-80$ CAD that I'll save...

    6. Oh that's probably why. My friend ordered just clothes and shoes etc. I didn't even know they had dolls on there, but I guess it makes sense. :)

    7. A lot of the dolls on Taobao are recasts, so it's important to proceed with extreme caution if you're buying any kind of resin through Taobao. Most agents won't know the difference, too, so it'll take some homework on your own part. Please be careful if you're looking at any resin on Taobao!

    8. I already checked with the company on the one I found... It's real... So just looking for the agent now...

    9. That's good! But remember, too, that these threads stay here basically forever, so that comment was both for your benefit, and for the benefit of @Meeko, and for the benefit of anyone who comes to this thread later to learn that Taobao carries resin. :) Good luck on your quest for an affordable agent!

    10. Oh great thanks for sharing that information I didn't know they had resin let alone how legitimate the resin was. I will definitely keep that in mind @vicemage !

    11. @Meeko, you're welcome! It's true, a lot of it isn't legitimate, but some of it is, it'll just take homework on your part. (And when in doubt, you can use the "ask the mods" subforum, or ask a company directly through their dedicated site if the related Taobao shop is theirs or a recaster.) It's tricky, which is why I've mainly stuck to non-resin items so far, myself.

    12. I can see why that would be a problem and create a lot of unnecessary work for buyers. She was very happy with her non resin items though. So hopefully once a legit resin is found it will be awesome and a really affordable price! :)

    13. @Meeko, I've definitely been quite happy with my non-resin items, as well, and am planning more purchases through Taobaotrends, as I've also been quite happy in my dealings with them (and was even able to negotiate a different shipping rate on one particular purchase, though it still ended up fairly heavy and expensive).

    14. That's good to know and maybe helpful to this poster??? Shipping may be negotiable and talking to the agent may change a situation you are unhappy with. Awesome! All great things to know. I'm completely a newb to this stuff so I love learning any and all tidbits and can. ☺️☺️☺️
