Modification Symbioses (Animal, vegetable & mineral)3/15/19 new photo

Aug 29, 2014

    1. Thanks! I'm getting so close, I want him done so I have to make myself slow down. Apoxie's gotta dry, ya know. :...(

So I'm looking for other things to do. Family photo - right.:)

    2. *SQUEEEE!* OMG that looks so awesome! You are like 100 times more creative than I am! Probably more! WOW! I am so loving what you're doing with him! *flutters heart* I am so proud he went to such a worthy cause! Is that weird? That's probably weird. But I'm proud! OfKa Lukas! *LOLOL* Oh that's fantastic! You'll make a symbol, right?

*LOL* OfKa Lukas and his Magnificent Stones! Sounds like a great title for a ...kid's book? Maybe not a kid's book. But a great title! ("OfKa Lukas and the Search for his Magnificent Stones". Definitely not a kid's book! I'm hearing some wakachika wow wow there. OK, exit stage right there...)

    3. chalyss you really make this experiment in insanity very fun. Yes, I will make him a symbol, maybe not a turnip but some grapes? :wiggle Lol, I'll work on it.

      Loving everyone's comments!

Right now, I am hiding in the other room so I can't look at the s l o w l y d r y i n g A p o x i e. Like watching grass grow, oh nope, wrong analogy, this is south Texas and its raining so the grass is growing quickly, inches per hour kind of thing.

But more work this weekend - yay!

Hey, does anyone need a refill on their drink or more popcorn? :)

    4. Big ole grapes haha.

The thigh looks really nice, SteamWitch! Reminds me of those 'rocks', that when cracked open, reveal purple crystal inside. I forget what they actually are, and are called -.-'
There's so much to be discovered on OfKa Lukas, I can't wait to see him done!

Maybe it'll be more of an adult novel....possibly illustrated. Maybe one of those 'touch and feel' books.... It might play 'bowchika wow wow' when you open it. Endless possibilities!

    5. Jemey, they are called geodes and yeah it was kind of my inspiration. I have a very small one, I may just lay it down in one of the photos as an Easter egg.

Got a sunny morning and took the chance to seal the 4 pieces that needed it. So work can continue, got a 60% chance of rain this afternoon so perfect weather for sitting inside and work on OfKa Lukas.

      Lunch, then work.

      Edit after lunch:

Icing looking better in color, my resin crystal is getting some color too.

    6. ARRRG! I don't know how you do it... I have such a hard time waiting for things to dry and yes, I've ruined projects by being too impatient. I am so BAD at it! You have my respect for waiting! Holy crow! That leg looks AMAZING! Wow! Seriously, wow! Beautiful! He may be grotesque, but he'll be beautifully grotesque! I bet people will have a hard time not staring at him... I mean aside from the obvious... but there's just so much to look at!

HAH HAH HAH!! Touch and feel books! *LOL* Talk about crowd participation! I love the music starts playing when you open the book! Oooh, he needs theme music. Something epic yet... well, epic. I might have to look into that. His own symbol and his own song... this guy is SPOILED.

*accepts more popcorn with a grin!*

    7. wow I rly want to see how this turns out! :D

    8. chalyss, I am impatient too that's why I left the room but I could stay out long and went to work on other stuff.

Theme music, hmmm. Yah, he is a special kind of guy and he's got the 'I'm it' smirk. He needs a theme song, as he arrives to do whatever the heck he is supposed to do.

Still working on the symbol, though hubby gave me his type of transformation - celAhmuN - that is what he is technically - a particular type of shaman. It is carved into his arm. OfKa is still his title, because I like it.

I added one final Apoxie piece this morning, which has to dry. Some parts of him looks like he fell into a jewelry box, but I couldn't not use those leaves.
[IMG]Lukas leg sculpting by SteamWitch, on Flickr

So it's 24 hours before I can restring him.

      What?
      ...
      Wait - he's finished?

Yah, I know I was up late last night painting and up too early this morning and painted and molded and rechecked everything. Laid it all out to make sure everything was finished. I panicked when I couldn't find one of his calves then remembered it was hanging up to dry, duh.
Jemey the easter egg is there, it's just so small. I'll have to get a closer picture of it later.

      [IMG]DSCF3207 by SteamWitch, on Flickr

Oh and I have to add this, hee hee. Sparkle, sparkle, twinkle, twinkle grapes!

      [IMG]DSCF3005fb by SteamWitch, on Flickr

So - next time I hope to restring him. He didn't have any hand or foot s-hooks so I had to make some and punctured my thumb, clutzy thing to do.

He needs some hair too. I have to find where I hid my wig sized piece of fur. I'm thinking a dark brown mohawk with short hair on the sides. I'll post making the wig as part of this journal.

So hang on guys the show isn't over yet! *Passes out cheesecake*

    9. Ooooh Cheesecake!!! I luuurve cheesecake :aheartbea

SteamWitch, I really have to say, those glittery purple grapes just make the whole thing come together
He is looking amazing. I can't wait till you've got him all 'strung'.....strung and hung.... :wiggle sorry, couldnt' resist.

    10.:dance:wiggle Good one, I just now 'got' the touch and feel book, sometimes I'm slow. I can't wait to see that also, I wanted to put him together so bad this morning but I knew if I did I'd mess up his foot.

Soooooooooooo, find the dang fur would be a good thing to do or watch a movie - something interesting to take my mind off, ta-dah - OfKa Lukas, the celAhmuN - *as horns blare - or not*

    11. Congratulations! It's fantastic! :cheer This is really amazing work, even unstrung. You've gone so fast! I don't know how you do it. Especially the casting parts. I love that you can just make whatever the heck you want. ^___^
Yes! An adult touch and feel book with appropriate music! lol "Stroke the smooth, polished stones." "Pat the fluffy ankle."

    12. I love this! He looks amazing, can't wait to see him all together I so wish I could do something like this!
I think that this touch and feel book is going in the top shelf direction here....

    13. Oh wow, you really do work fast! *_*
This is such a detailed project, really looking forward to seeing him all strung together and finished! :thumbup

    14. *Blush* I was patting his fluffy ankle this morning.
Thank You. I can't say it's been easy but I sure pushed my 'wild and crazy' creative button several times on him.
Tomorrow, tomorrow I love ya tomorrow... enough of that.
My family took me to the little big city for lunch and shopping so that is 4+ hours. Then just as I was tempted to sit down at my worktable the power went off. Can't work in the dark, so that is good, except it's Texas! in September! I'm melting and no internet! for 2 sweaty hours. Now I'm just over it - I'll wait until tomorrow who knows what will happen if I go sit in front of him again. Sheesh.

Thanks, I can't wait either but I have too, argh the torture.
Photostory implanted in brain, poses - oh my :blush

Hubby says I'm driven, head down and working hard, only he used an old Navy saying which isn't appropriate here. It is nice that I'm a stay-at-home grandma and can do this stuff all day long if I want to. I love the creative outlet, I think that is why I have so many project journals. I finish one and have to find another one (or do housework - ugh)

      Thank you all, more tomorrow!

    17. I just... keep... staring! He's sooo beautiful! I am in love with that thigh! And, really, everything else too. Gorrrrrrrrrrrgeous work, Steamwitch! (Petting his fluffy ankle. Hah! I see why!) I would like to see the mohawk with crystal sides. From what you have going here, straight hair seems like it could be out of place. Maybe even some crystals and singular braids, where stone has melded (?) with the skull and pushed aside the hair... sumfin like that.

Ah, I adore his smirk-grin! He's so full of character and story! Also, what IS expected of him, anyway? What did this meld accomplish for his society? I guess the drive behind it. Excuse me, I have to go back to staring. (Also, I noted a distinct lack of Magnificent Stones. *wicked grin* *sees signature* Ofka. *LOLOL* Almost sounds like a Yiddish expletive!) This has been the most fun I've ever had on this forum, bar none! *steals the cheesecake**And a few snickerdoodle cookies* *is greedy*

OK, had to fix this- I see the stones. I especially love the back shot with just a bright gleam of a single stone. HAH! Oh, he IS glorious! What a marvelous creature!

    18. Ha ha, so you found the glowing one, huh. Yeah they are in there, just a little out of context in one photo. I am so bleeping tired right now, I don't know what to do.
I wanted to explain some things and point out others but can't get the brain to work well. So I will rest up tonight and get to work tomorrow.
I like the idea of a braid or two coming from the crystallized skull. I cut his mohawk hair, it will be short but awesome.

How did you like his eyes? One is a czech glass button with a star burst cut into it. I think it looks wonderful. Just one of a thousand things I have packed away waiting for its project to come along.
Anyway, I rambling so time to hit the hay.*_*

Oh, one more thing, he has that collarbone piercing that needs something. Anyone got an idea?

    19. Haha, I got to that picture and I was like ' !!! I seeeeeeee youuuuuuu!!!' I've never clapped my hands over seeing a backside peek at a man's ''magnificent stones''...... This project is changing me.

He's just looking amazing SteamWitch! I had to sit for a full 5 minutes just staring... He's just so original and full of so many details, there's something new to discover even if you look at the same spot each time.

For the collarbone piercing, how about a large fang or something like that. I'm thinking a bit like some African or Aboriginal tribes have those huge things in their septums and ears. It would tie in well with his shamanic aspect.

    20. *LOLOLOL* That really made me laugh out loud! Too cute! *L*

I know, he's such a centerpiece! My gosh, how would he NOT get a huge head (er, huger... he's got a pretty big noggin, probably filled with butterflies and moss on top of the brain) from being so lovely and people stopping to just stare at him in awe?

Collar bone piercing... a fang is a good idea! All that comes to my limited imagination is a ring or bone with a feather or maybe fur on it, as obvious decoration; kinda like an earring on a bigger scale. You could even do some bead work on it. That could be shaman-flavored, too.

I did notice the eye just forgot to mention it- it's lovely! I didn't know it was a button, but it's cool! I like it! Quite striking. Is it metal?

Heeee! He can actually say, with a straight face, "Hey... watch the petals, man." LOVE the red flowers on him!

    21. Wow! He looks amazing! :o

    22. Thank you Jemey, when I took that photo I didn't notice the blue glow until I had it in PSE and toned down the brightness. The ferns are great but the bright sky above bleeds into the photo.
I think a fang or something would be good too perhaps a demon fang, I mean he has a job - keeping the riffraff out of his village or town or something. Shamanistic tokens to help him. Yes!

I really like the flowers too, adds the beauty of nature with the thorns of protection. He also has a snake effigy (a different snake:|) in his thigh to indicate he is poisonous too.
I'm getting an idea of the fang and other objects to hang from the collarbone piercing. There are protections that can't be painted or carved into his body so he has to wear them - right?! He also has some ear piercings I'm working on filling.

      Thank you so much!

I am going to start another set of crystal castings. I only have 1 mold so it will take 48 hours for both sides of his 'wig' to set - so ponder this...

    23. Hello!
I'm sorry that work has been busy and I've been away for a while. (OK, so being sick hasn't helped any, either.) But I'm back and I'm really amazed at how far you've gone with him! I think he looks great (and you've done really well with the Chinese calligraphy! :D )

I can't wait to see him completely done. Keep going!

    24. Thank you, your help with the Chinese was/is greatly appreciated. Being sick with lots of work to do sucks, get well :thumbup and I guess work is work, lol.
I'm in the middle of a crazy wig idea, I really hope it works out. If it does then it will the the icing on the dolly cake. :dance

Today I pour more resin and finish my sewing project and get started on Halloween...:apirate:I love fall!

    25. Here is part 1 of the wig/headcap. The mohawk is beaver pelt from a 60 year old coat. The crystal resin had almost set up so last night took it out of it's mold and formed it to the hard side of the wig and clamped it to his headcap. This morning it came out pretty well. Last night I was too sleepy to pour more resin so I did that this morning.

It will need much more work but I am happy with the beginnings.

    26. Wow! What a progress and transformation! Amazing! And I can't wait to see the wig cap!! SQUEE! This is all gonna be over with too quickly!

"Sparkle sparkle twinkle twinkle... grapes!" How did I miss that?? AHAHAHAHA! I love it!

Oh my geodes!! (anyone ever say that as a kid?) I found the egg! And not his sparkly grapes. HAH! Oh... I will miss this and him. So lovely is OfKa Lukas! I am so proud. *sniffles* You do good work, Steamwitch!! *understatement of the year!*

Epic OfKa intro! (come on, you can picture him stepping out to lay down the shaman smack-down on the baddies! Maybe his first official reveal!)
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEKELU-F9S4
While certainly feel free to listen to more, (immediately following is a great awakening and "I survived!" realization piece up to 4:50) I end his victorious first round at 1:48.

      OfKa Lukas FO'EVA!

    27. chalyss, I loved the music and I may just play the whole thing while I sit in my workroom and mess around on the wig. I'm waiting on another resin cast, different one this time and hubby gave me a 'OoooH yeah' idea too. I also think it will be done very soon.

Purple grape leave g-string anyone? Leather fringe loincloth? Intricately embroidered loin flap? Still working on that part.

Also working on the collarbone piercing, long slim black claw perhaps.

He will be traveling with me to the October Houston meet, I'm excited for everyone to see him in person.
      Okay back to work.:)

Head torture for his wig. Glad I haven't put eyelashes on the guy.

    28. Can't wait to see him in 2 weeks! I'm so happy the meet-up is early in October. I have a horse show Oct. 25th and was worried I'd miss the meet-up.

    29. Wig work, WIP still dealing with resin difficulties, stupid stuff won't do what I tell it - argh!

But I do have progress and photos.

It looks more like another creature than a wig.

Please believe me when I say this wig/cap has been more difficult than I ever thought. However, I think it is going to be wonderful in the end.

    30. Oh my MY! (as my 2 year old nephew would say) That cap looks incredible! WOW! Love the... spine thing... coming off the back. I can't wait to see this on! SheeeeOOOOOt!
"Purple grape leave g-string anyone? Leather fringe loincloth? Intricately embroidered loin flap? Still working on that part."
All of the above! A leather loincloth with embroidered grape leaves! Or something. Ooooh... I might have to sketch something... something is... taking... shapeinmy...head... (Shatner pauses!)

    31. I am excited to come too. All of my guys have been packed up once for an emergency but this will be their first long drive, Clothes basket anyone. lol

chalyss, you always manage to make me laugh, thanks. Yes, loin cloth tiny one so the sparkles still shine, but will give the appearance of modesty, and authority, no pressure. Ha, him modest just look at that smirk.

I'm staring at him now and seeing a few things that I didn't catch when he was in pieces. They show up when they are all together. So I have a little more work to do.

Oh crap the cat just knocked him over. :dohNow there is even more work to do.
strangle, scream and then back to work.
It could have been worse, I guess I do good work. :|

      good night all.

    32. Ah cats.... Always on a mission to make your life more problematic.... I caught my cat dragging her butt across the carpet yesterday....left a nice little poop trail :| I hope he's ok from being knocked over!

That wig is really looking interesting. Is it supposed to be part of a ribcage, the purple stuff on the back? Oh..spine, Chalyss suggests. I like it. Looking forward to seeing it on him! :dance

Wish I lived in the vicinity so I could come to the meet-up and see him in live action

    33. Ah, yes nasty catty creature belongs to my granddaughter or I'd kick him outside with the dogs, not. He really is a cutie though, haven't had a cat in quite a few years so getting use to their wicked ways will take a while.
All is well and his broken pieces are back in their places as if it never happened. I even added some bracing to strengthen a few areas. Wouldn't want to break something off by just holding him. I took before and after pictures, but just for the record not to post.

The wig - ah yes. Spiney, boney, crystalline, stoney, woodie, fleshy all that stuff is somewhere on his body. Going is slow with the wig since I have to mold resin and cast it and wait and then see how it turns out then cast some more and wait. Which I'm doing right now.
I have found uses for my extra resin and my Halloween swap partner will be getting the fruits of that labor.

It would be nice to meet you too Jemey but I'm sure there will be post meet photos. And I'm planning for him to be a part of a gallery shoot or a photo story.

I realized (after the fall) that he needs a stand but with his lovely 'sparkling stones' he can't straddle a saddle stand :o. It would also mess with his loincloth. I am going to have to make him a custom stand, unless I can talk my hubby into making it for me :sneaky.

    34. Stemwitch: What about a stand that secures around his waist?

    35. Yeah, I think I'm going to have to go with that kind because under the arms and across the back would interfere with his leafy wings. I will probably modify it so it would go with him so I need to find one soon.

    36. Ooh gallery shoot. Mr. Sparkling Stones is gonna have a modeling career, eh? :wiggle You could start making Yule cards to send out.... Along the lines of the 'touch and feel' book of course..maybe like a pop-up card.... I'd get in line for one!

Maybe you can make him a special straddle stand...errr saddle stand... with room for junk

    37. Popup card huh? Touch and feel I could do, popup might be beyond my expertise, lol.

No saddles or straddles, ;). Too much going on down there with the modified/sculpted thigh so I think it's going to be a waist stand.

Edit: still waiting on resin to set - yawn...

    38. About time for a photo

      Loincloth
/leather grape leaf sort of covering and his unfinished wig.
Sorry for the dark photo it's very overcast and dark outside but... better pictures of his wig (and all of him) after the new resin sets and is in place.

[IMG]Lukas 2014 by SteamWitch, on Flickr
The cord that holds the leather leaf in place is actually glued to his skin near his hip and around back, but the flap is moveable. Just sayin'.

Hmmm, he may need a cape for those cool nights coming up.

    39. Wow, I am in LOVE with that body! He is just beyond cool and amazing. The loinleaf is great, but also a bit of a shame since it covers everything up....maybe a sheer loincloth?? :wiggle

I'm sure he'd be very grateful to have a cape... but you should probably make it extra warm :)

    41. It's like a snuggie! *LOL* Oh, I love it! Absolute bare minimum! Yes, he might need a cloak for those... colder moments. Hmmm... would his rock parts get cold? Or would he feel it? "Everything's freezing... except my shins. And my... well, take a look. They're dangling under the leaf." Woka chika wow wow! HAH! And five minutes later, epic music! He might need a 'stone sling' for his stand. *snort* Hey, he's never without a weapon! Or two! ...But I think that's kind of the point of the whole body trans, right? :p (He might need some rivets or two in the bottom of that leaf, just to weigh it down. Or maybe he /wants/ a small breeze to stir it upward! *LOL*)

He recovered verrrrry well from the cat attack! My heart skipped a beat when I read that! Naughty kitty! But they do as they do, right? Gotta love 'em! And yes, you do good work! VERY good work! He is SO exciting to watch!

    42. *lol* snuggie - yes it is. I started out with a larger leaf but instead of just getting it wet with hot water so I could mold it, the water boiled and the leather shrunk, to the perfect size I suppose :P.
I found a pencil the right size as an alternate mold so my granddaughter wouldn't see leather clamped to his bits. She rolls her eyes at me enough already. His generic AOD parts aren't anything special so pffft. Now my Ringdoll's parts, whoa baby:o, I would have to hide that much better.

I don't think he will feel the cold, but he has to 'fit in' with his village and look regal, *smirk*. Magnificent cape coming up, along with something around his neck perhaps a torc of some sort. You can't see his headpiece very well in the photo, can't call it a wig really. Better pictures coming, I need a set for him to stand in, the porch is so... blah.

Cat and I called a truce, but I have a kennel standing by when necessary.
      Thank you!

    43. Everyday I see something that can be improved and I may even try for another head cap, practice makes perfect (perhaps better, I hope).
Another photos showing why a saddle stand won't work for him.

    44. But his special symbol doesn't look like grapes *OR* a turnip..... :...( On the other hand, this probably gains him more respect in lieu of the mystique an unknown symbol brings. He won't be known as Turnip McTurnipy the Shaman. Yeah...I heard that's what people were planning to call him.... You're welcome :XD:

He really does well outside, doesn't he?! Fits right in! And by all that is holy I love dat ass!

    45. Thanks Jemey, he does fit right in to the jungle out there.

No turnips for him, he was quite adamant about that, seems his mother was scared by a turnip and passed the fear on to him. :XD:

Symbols are such strange creatures. *_*

I think I have his claw piercing figured out just have to decide on the medium. I may turn to sculpey since it won't be part of him, it's just an ornament. I will have to postpone the work and get other things finished. I promised my niece a small BJD related sewing project and I have my other obligations, so since OfKa Lukas is pretty much completed I will leave him for a little while.
So today I decided to finish restringing him so I had to take him apart. It was scary but not as scary as putting him back together. So if you haven't had enough here are more photos.
He was cast without the three dimples in the abdomen so he could hold a slouch or back bend, I didn't want him to backbend but I wanted him to be able to slouch. The way I had him strung he couldn't sit up all by himself and I though he needed the slouch so I broke out the dremel and made a dimple, all nice and very pale.

It was scary to restring him, I mean have you ever tried to restring a fully dressed doll before :XD:.

This one was even scarier I couldn't get a firm grip all around the leg.

I did it and without breaking anything though I did find a couple of pieces that were loose and needed re-gluing.
      Rocking forward and slouching- yes!

But I found it was unnecessary, restringing him properly let him sit up straight on his own.

      Thanks for your support!

    46. I'm glad to hear it helped to just restring him, though I must say I'm impressed by your/his little dimple  And the close ups are great. There's so much great texture in what you've created, and the colour blends are wonderful. Too bad about his fear of turnips...they're gonna be all the rage soon!

Thanks for letting us follow along with you on your project. It's been a real pleasure to see how OfKa Lukas has taken form. And the popcorn was great ;)

Have fun with your 'other obligations' and your niece's sewing project. There's no stopping you in your creative out pour! :dance

    47. "Turnip McTurnipy." HAH!!

Awwww.... this has gone by far too quickly! I have to admit, I didn't expect this level of talent and detail to be put into him, but WOW! I am really blown away! He has so much going on and so much to look at! Just his bottom (Jemey's fave part. ;) And I see why!) is loaded with eye candy! (All that sounded naughty, but surprisingly I didn't mean it that way!) He is such a stunner! I do hope we see more of him and his magnificent stones... I mean cloak... no, I mean stones... in the future! Photostories and just plain spam! He is too much to hide from the world and his smirk shows he knows it! (I'm thinking that 'treasure trail' needs to be 3D, if you know what I'm sayin'!)

This was so much fun! I had a great time watching his progress and your immense talent and his immense 'talents' too... I see them peeking out here and there!... thank you for sharing! I really wouldn't have thought to do so much with a doll or a junk body you turned into a masterpiece! I think my fave parts are his bum and his super cool thigh! And his shins! And his hands! He is amazing! True art! (And your hubby sculpts too! Sheesh, talent much??) I'll be sure to take any left over cheesecake or popcorn or juice or cookies or veggies with me on the way out! Wouldn't want them to rot!

*sniffles* Aw, good bye for now sweet chimeric boy! Guard thy villages well! *so... PROUD!*

Don't keep us without him (or you) for long! <3

    48. *sniffles* Thank you chalyss - I won't let him molder away. He is much to proud and pleased with his survival to let me store him on a shelf or, heavens forefend, in a box.

He will grace the Gallery and Photostories, sooner than you think.

Why am I up so early? - yawn. * wants to snuggle back into the covers*

    49. Woah, those updates were cool!
There's a meet in Houston? My aunt lives there...next time I visit her I might have to make sure I check for local bjd meets happening at the same time. It would be fantastic to meet some international bjd owners (not to mention seeing a doll like this in person would be epic!)

    50. Yup we have a group of about 20 and try and have meets once a month. If you're ever in town look us up!

    51. wow what an amazing finish to this awesome project, he looks amazing, I love all his additions and that leg mod is the best thing ever, congratulations. hope you get a stand organized for him soon

    52. Thank you. Thank you!
I was lucky to get the body I got, (thank you again, chalyss). So much of what he became is from the condition he was in when he came to me.

He is definitely a group effort thanks to dA's KilianGray who modified the head to emulate dA's sydghor's sketch then gifted it to me (why? oh well), then chalyss' um, mangled dolly body, gulp, and my wild imagination.
I can only guess that OfKa Lukas needed to exist, or I needed to make him.

Creative outlet, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Enough butterfly effect stuff...:XD:
Yeah, stand is on the list of to do's, back to other work.

    53. Literal translation for 'faint cries are answered' will be [IMG].
Google translate is really lame in this case because this phrase has an entirely different grammar in Russian, and its translation cannot properly convey its original meaning.

    54. Ahhh, thank you so much, I was wondering if it was okay or not. I only have very tiny bit of Russian. The beginning will be easy to add the ending will be the challenge but I will make it happen.
Thanks for looking at my project and helping make him correct.:)

My Hindi translation is probably wrong too, oh well.*_*

    55. Heh heh heh I am loving that fig leaf. It shrank to the perfect size like it knew what it had to do! :XD:
I have to admit... that left leg of his is just amazing work. I love both his legs best, but that metal piece and all the rest... WOW. He is an amazing piece!
      I'm liking the wig too.
Today I saw in Target, they have some "glow in the dark hair extensions" for Halloween, in the $1 bin. ;) ...just sayin'... greeeen... bluuuuuee.. they might have some in a store near you!

    56. I shall have to do that!

    57. I have gotten a few 'holy cow' comments on him. I can't wait to show him off at our local meet next Sat.
I will have to look for some Glow in the dark hair, a few clumps in his mohawk might be warranted. He has some long thin feathers now but a few stands of long colored hair would be more decor on his already frosted cake.

I think I'm going to blush/paint animal pads on the soles of his feet. I'm staring at them as he sits on my dresser and they look pretty naked at least compared to the rest of him.

    58. Okay, so I totally got caught up in other stuff and forgot to come back :doh
I'd definitely say that all of your hard work paid off, he looks totally amazing all together like this! :o (my favorite part is still those sparkling grapes... :wiggle)

Although the "loincloth" may be the right size I still feel like he'd need something else... a cape like you were talking about would be perfect!

    59. Thank you, his grapes seem to be popular ;) and thanks for reminding me about his cape. I need to finish it before tomorrow so he can wear it to the Doll meet.

    60. I hope you don't mind Steamwitch, but I know you were having camera trouble today and I thought his fans might like to see some of the pictures from today.

Ofka Lukas made some new friends today.
