Shopping Switch re-releases

    1. To anyone who has been following Switch for many years, is there any pattern in how they re-release sculpts or is it completely random? And how do the special colors mocha and milktea play into this?

      I'm trying to find out if it's possible to predict when, if ever, one of their 2020 sculpts will be available in milktea as he's the perfect shell for a character. (I know white/normal can be blushed to match but I don't feel up to the task)

    2. Usually they will release their yearly plan in every December or January. Switch will carry out a survey at middle of the year, you can vote your favourite doll. They will take this in to account.
      Sometimes there will be special events for official dealers, another chance to get your favourite.
      Mocha brown is only available once a year, official dealers or doll cons may have something limited.
      Milk tea is usually available at first debut, afterwards is all by survey or by chance.

    3. Thank you so much! I'll keep an eye out for the survey. That said, I scrolled through their old Instagram posts and couldn't find any release plan for this year. 2022 was there and so was 2021, I'm not sure if I just missed it or should've checked in another place?

    4. @RedMoonlight - oh, you are right. seems switch forget to make a plan for this year.
      save money before May, month of Switch anniversary. they may have special full set dolls on sale

    5. First they do a demand survey. Since then, it seems that they have been selling various colors of skin at the same time as reflecting it. However, recently sold models are excluded from the demand survey. It's a way to avoid premium transactions. Mocha skin can only be received at offline stores. I'm not sure about overseas sales….
