Supia Dolls Ordering Period?

Feb 7, 2010

    1. Does anyone know if Supia has any set time that they open for ordering? I've been wanting to get a Rosy, but it seems there last order period was before Christmas. *_* I was also reading here on DOA that you can't order their dolls from any other website since the owner sells them directly now. I'm kind of confused because if you look up Supia in just about any search engine this website pops up first. I don't think I can order through Supia Dolls International, right? It says their last order period was in 2008. I almost missed the official site (www.supiadollz.net). :sweat
I would love any advice on when they might be opening up so I can be ready. Thanks!

    2. Wow, I was going to explain putting Rosy in your cart and options will pop up but they are indeed on break. The best I can say is email them and ask, they were very prompt with answering me when I ordered my doll. Good Luck!

    3. Thanks Melicat~ I did email them awhile back, but I think due to the Lunar New Year holidays it might be some time before I get an answer. Are their order periods on any set schedule; like every other month or something? Or is it kind of sporadic?

    4. I just ordered a Supia Rosy directly through their website. Seems to be OK to order now although the initial message shows they are in a shipping period.

    5. How did you get through to the website? I can't seem to get past the initial message about the shipping period. O_o Has Supia already confirmed your order? I've been dying to order from them, but I'd be afraid of Supia cancelling it if they're temporarily closed.

    6. i don't know if they are accepting new orders. i ordered a head on 2/02, and although it says, "money transfer received", they have not responded to my Q&A letting them know about the order. i also sent an email to ask them if, in fact, the order was going through, and so far no reply..... i used this link to get access.

    7. Thanks for the information and the link Miss Ally. :) I'd love know how it turns out when you hear back from them.

    8. Have you heard back from them? I emailed them about two weeks ago and no reply, was wondering if anyone else had any luck.

    9. Thanks for the link Miss Ally; I'd been trying to access their site too.

I notice there are no prices on their website though. *_* Anyone know how much Rosy costs?

    10. To view price on supia website, you have to register first.
      Tan Rosy is $510 plain
      Regular Rosy is $480 plain
      Make-up option is $50
Wig and Eyes at random is another $50

    11. Thanks, lucyhayashi! :)

    12. Has anyone contacted Supia either by email or Q&A and gotten any kind of a response from them lately? Gypsy/ Miss Ally did they ever confirm that they received your order? I've sent a bunch emails and have never received a reply. Their complete lack of customer service lately has been a real turn off.... >_< I'm afraid to put in an order and completely be ignored. I can't even imagine how frazzled people from the December order must feel that are still waiting for dolls. It's looking like the secondary market's going to be the best way to go.

    13. Ouch... I tried to order from the supiadollz.com website, but they haven't confirmed my order. Seems they are on a hiatus. :( Just my luck, when I take the decision to order a Rosy!

    14. I don't think that this is necessarily a complete lack of customer service, considering they have a message stating that they are on hiatus and putting all of their effort into shipping the orders they have. Depending on their manpower (which for this type of doll maker, I wouldn't be surprised if it's only 1-3 people.) they may honestly not have the time to maintain the site right now.

As example, Bobobie did something similar to this last August, where they stopped communicating on the site completely to instead work to cast more dolls to keep up with the sudden backlog of orders. They, however, didn't leave a message stating this was going down. My first doll order was caught in it, so it was incredibly stressful. However, I did get my doll, and she was in perfect order (I asked for a body switch, so she was a special case amoung the lot), it only took an month longer than I originally expected. :sweat Of course, this is a similar experience from an entirely different company, but after that, I have faith in these artists about these kind of things.

I say, if you really want a Supia Rosy that much, just give it time. I'm personally interested in Yan, so I'm keeping an eye out, too. If you are that worried about waiting, then go second-hand.

    15. i thought i update here..... although i never received any confirmations, and no reply to my emails... i suddenly, out of nowhere, received my Roda head last week..... so it took about 4 weeks to receive her.

    16. I tried to do the same, lets see what happens. :)

    17. I'm really wanting to order a Roda, so please keep us updated :)

    18. It seems like everyone that's ordered since they closed gets their doll about a month later, though they still aren't responding to any emails or Q & A questions. The owner did have a teaser of a new body with updated joints and hands up on her Flikr account awhile ago(It's since been taken down), but I saved a pic of it in the Supia waiting room thread. I'm going to hold out to see if they release it when they open up again. Here's hoping they'll return sometime soon...:: Crosses fingers::

    19. A month? That's really pretty good! Now if I can get some of my things to sell in the MP, I can get her that much sooner :)

    20. And they're back open for business! :D :D :D

    21. Is tan Rosy no longer available?!

    22. I hope not :<<< Maybe it's just a hold on making her? I've heard tan resin is difficult to produce consistently so that may be it.

    23. Do they have a layaway option or do you have to pay everything in one go?

    24. I think all one go...I wish there was layaway though :(

    25. Cheers! That means I'll have to be disciplined and save up without breaking into it. I'm quite glad tan Rosy isn't available, it gives me time.

    26. Maybe I imagined it, but I think that when they started the new site they said they would only be open for orders every couple of months or so. I might be wrong!

    27. If it helps anyone decide, Supia seems to be back on top of responding to emails and their Q&A board. :)

    28. SkadiGoddess: Just confirmed they do not have a layaway option sadly.
