Personality: Jacey is introverted most of the time. At school with her group of 'friends' she plays the part of 'Jacey!' the happy girl whose smart and has intelligent/humorous imput in every conversation. In reality though, she hates having to talk to any of them. Not because of them individually, but because of her constant insecurities, and preference for being alone. She's caring and smiles at the sight of a child no matter what her mood is.​

Random info/brief history: Jacey has two siblings, older brother Ray, younger sister Jamie. When they were young, they were put in foster care. Their mother was in her teens when she had Ray, and around 19-24 when she had Jacey and Jamie from a different father. For their younger years, the three of them lived under bad curcumstances. Jacey was even left alone at a convienice store while her mom went to pick up a drug deal. She is traumatized by many of the things she lives with in her mind. One of the most terrorizing is how her father's best friend Mark used to sexually abuse her. He would degrade her and tell her not to bother telling her father because he already knew. She feared telling her mother because she worried about getting hit or ignored. She wouldnt tell Ray because she felt he had enough burdens, and Jamie was just a baby. ​

After a few years, she and her siblings get separated in foster care. After a year, Jamie and Ray reunite in a good family, but Jacey is transfered in and out of different families care. Determined difficult to place and a troubled child who somtimes wouldnt speak a word for days. Some of the homes were ok, most of them were prisons, sand paper for the mind. She learned to not feel, to be numb. She lost who she really is in those years. ​

At 15, Their biological mother begins to try to regain custody. She's sobered up for a year and recently came into cash and home from her father's death. Eventually, she does regain the custody of the children. They all fear her relapes, though Ray tends to stay more positive, Jamie giving little opinion, and Jacey remains bitter and numb, telling Ray he's stupid and blind if he thinks 'mom's changed'.​

In this new manson of a house, and unfamiliar town, Jacey meets Astor Grant. The guy who gets past the numb walls she puts around herself, just with a simple look. ​

History: Devyn is Korean (mother)/American (father), born in S. Korea. Her family moved to California, USA when she was four years old. Devyn was always naturally beautiful and her mother took full advantage of this. She stressed the importance of beauty to the impressionable girl and had Devyn participate in numerous beauty pageants, starting when she was six years old. Devyn’s father was reluctant, but her mother’s persistence finally broke the flood gates. Suddenly, her life surrounded around pageants. At first, she loved the glitz and glamour, but as she got older she began to rebel.

Her patience began to wear thin around the time she was 15 and entering high school; her own loathing for pageantry was only fueled by having her younger sister, Britny, following in her footsteps. She began to drift away from the posh lifestyle that pageantry bred and refused to admit any affiliation with the programs. She began wearing darker make-up and dropped the frilly clothes. When she turned 16, she refused to participate in pageants. She wanted to be liked for more than beauty alone.
Devyn was never a “girly girl” and enjoyed playing with the boys. She wore darker makeup, edgy clothing, wasn’t afraid to express her opinions and denied her pageant past. She fell into an edgy life style and began getting interested in cosmetology, inspired by rock ‘n roll. Her best friends were two classified delinquents, Shaant Jones and Hopper Jack Barker. Hopper Jack was nearly five years older, but age was never an issue; Shaant was similar in age and had very similar interests. Needless to say, they spent a lot of time together. Devyn’s mother greatly disapproved, while her father was happy to see Devyn become her own person. Regardless of her fathers encouragement, Devyn dropped out of high school to pursue an education devoted to cosmetology; this may seem like a desire to retain the glitzy pageant life, but it was entirely different. She continued to encourage Britny to break away from pageants, but it would be some time before Britny finally had enough.

Devyn spent less and less time at home, and usually ended up crashing at Hopper Jack’s. The relationship was purely platonic; Hopper Jack was more of an insane older brother or cousin, rather than an object of affection. However, Shaant was a different story. Nothing was ever said, but their attraction to each other was obvious. She continued to hang around even after Hopper Jack had left to the east coast for college. When Shaant had finally followed Jackie, she was lost. She spent all of her time dedicated to school; she had to get out of California. Upon her graduation of the San Diego School of Cosmetology, she had got in contact with Hopper Jack. She immediately booked a flight and her bags.
