Supia doll order arrived

Hello, My dolls finally arrived! I had a Supia old DJ doll body for a different doll, then ordered the new 65cm doll and had to buy another head, plus I got the dreaming Rosy head, and finally, my daughter got Eunice on the old single jointed body. Because I got the extra head, I decided to give it to the supiadoll body I have already. Anyway, so it was like 3 dolls arriving. Unfortunately, I noticed there is a string loose inside my Hamin's body (old DJ body) so I only took some face pictures. Looks like I'll have to restring. Not sure what happened??

So anyway, I would first like to introduce my daughter's Eunice. Eunice is an elf monk. Her clothes need a bit of adjustment, but I think she looks pretty good in her outfit. Eunice has a tight bun in the back of her head because that's practical My daughter doesn't like my sexy outfit for my cleric because she thinks it's impractical, LOL. Anyway, I tried to give her some MA poses:


I really think she's pretty, my daughter thinks she looks "serious"
My daughter said this didn't look like a martial arts move, LOL

Next up is my Dreaming Rosy. I got her in Tan, and she's so pretty IMO

She has the new body, and I need to do a review of it too But I need more time than I had this afternoon/evening. It took so long just to free these girls from their cocoon! LOL But here is one, where Rosy is lounging on the ground:

She looks pretty slim in the waist here but I think her upper body was twisted a little. I do like this body a lot actually. I think it's way prettier in person than in pictures.

Finally, Hamin is here. She is wearing a hat they sent with my daughter's doll. The wig isn't so great on her, it makes her look flat headed. I have the perfect wig for her though, as the one my iplehouse Grace is wearing is way too fluffy on top for her. I think it'll round out Hamin's head nicely

Finally, a lot of us noticed that supia's sculptures seem to have no chin depth. This is true. Of these three, Hamin is the worst. But as another member said, most bjd's don't look great in profile, which is probably why not too many people take a real profile photo of their dolls, however I'm happy to show what these three girls look like in profile. Really, when playing with them, I don't mind or notice it at all. But anyway, here are the 3 profiles I can offer:

Thanks @nancy_schroeder_ca I hope I can get more pictures taken soon. Need to fix that loose chord I see in her body. I think she's about to fall apart, LOL. I think I managed to lose it from the neck!

@Winnie99 Yes, she's the new tan She is lighter than iplehouse light brown, and closer to but a bit darker, and browner, than Fairyland tan. Fairyland tan seems pinker and a tad lighter, of course you wouldn't think of pink/reds in there if they weren't right next to each other. It's so similar that I would think blushing a FL head to match the Supia body would be rather easy??

Hi @Scarlet Grimm Thank you Supia dolls start around $490 to $595 without a faceup. If you are new to the hobby and want to try something less expensive, but also very nice, I suggest you check out the Impldoll Idol and Star line bodies. They have some amazing sculpts and are still a hidden gem. You can get free shipping at Clover-Singing, but you'll probably have to ask them for the doll you want, as they don't have much up. It seems they add to the site on a request basis. Look up owner pictures on google images, but some of my favorites are Lydia, Aurora, Alma, Sophia ... oh my, so many pretty girls, Crystal is a subtle vampire

Warning, they are big girls. My Star Alma is as tall as the biggest Supia 64cm body doll, and Idol is even bigger. With normal or white skin, these dolls are $330 for a Star size and $380 for Idol size doll. But I will admit that the resin is prettier on Supia and as far as their biggest doll, the new 65cm or so, she poses beautifully. I really like her!

 

Yes, and it also depends on the aesthetics that you like. I have always liked realism, but was charmed by Fairyland's cute big eyed dolls too. I kind of see the girls at Supia as on the realistic side, which may not be what you like?? There are so many companies out there now too, and I don't even know most of them! Boy when I started with these dolls, it was all Anime looking, now the looks are seriously endless! With monsters aliens, sugar sweet, true to life animals, I mean, everything you can think of is out there! It's amazing!

I agree, @jaderose, the new Supia tan is just beautiful! I love Hamin, she's sitting on my shelf next to me right now and is always so happy! how can you not love that smile!?!? LOL She still need eyes though, which are on order. The ones she has are such dark brown and the iris is so large, she looks like her eyes are all black, LOL. But her new eyes should get here somewhat soon I hope!

@Scarlet Grimm do take your time and think about it, but if Fairyland or Supia, or Iplehouse or any other expensive doll becomes your love, I suggest waiting and saving longer and getting what you love and not mess about with something "second choice" . It'll probably save you money in the long run
