I am so happy I finally got this out of my system! I got to it and made my first SD head (Designed specifically for a DD II body). I have named her Arwen after Arwen of Lord of the Rings (she’s an elf head after all ^__^ yay!). She’s not based off of any SD head or any person in particular, but one of my friends said she looked like a Gelfing (from The Dark Crystal! XD She does a little I guess…) The imperfections in the clay's surface on her forehead are only due to the baking process, and are not actual physical bumps or cracks. She’ll be all smooth when painted ^^ I love her little smile She is all Super Sculpey. When she’s all painted and done I’ll post pics of her here.
Yay update! I dug out my airbrush and got it to WORK XD I am still learning airbrush. Here is Arwen raw painted (no gloss or touches like eyelashes and eyebrows). She'll need a night of drying before I add the eyebrows, lips, and eyelashes (with the final touch being clearcoat). I am really happy with how the painting turned out. With flash above, and without below. The next images will be her all finnished with hair, eyes and everything yay!
Well, here's the finished Arwen! ^_^ She has 20mm metallic cobalt eyes in. I love the metallic eyes! They're cheap and pretty! I also attempted to put on eyelashes, and think it turned out alright ^_^ yay! She’s wearing a wig I made using a variegated wool yarn that is dyed in cool colors. ^^
I really like how she turned out, big, elfy ears and all. She looks like a lot of fun And I am all for wooly yarn wigs..
wow what a cute idea! and she turned out great. Things made by your hands always seem to be the best lol. Keep up the great work..who knows we may see some of your heads up for sale..and people scrambling to get them like Luts!

I'm a big fan of your projects and my partner is always asking if Arwen has had anymore adventures. She's one of the few dolls on the forum he remembers be name. Eppie

Nixie is excited about having an animal friend. He is a Ball-jointed animal (Four-legged) and I'm having quite the fun time making the joints of his legs (so he can stand on all fours yet still bend them like animal legs should bend). For an idea of his size, he is about 7 inches tall when standing (he stands on all fours). I am still waiting for confirmation if I can post him here from the mods...maybe they didn't get my PM...(I sent it a week ago...) or won't let me post him. I might try one of them again.
You should TOTALLY post him -- after all, Art-Tong's ball-jointed cat got a ton of attention, and Paulkaiju posted some sketches of a ball-jointed deer that he was working on . . . there was a thread called something like "animal friends" some time ago, asking about ball-jointed animal dolls. A deer?! Ooo....that sounds cool! I do want to make a jointed Centaur! I saw that one by, was it Art-Tong? It was AWESOME, But his wasn't jointed in the lower half....I want mine to be fully poseable! ^___^ Still no reply from the mods... :cry: ...
