I was wondering if anyone had seen any patterns for SD 10 years ago the web was saturated by them, now they’re far and few between. I rescued an old Kun a couple years ago and I’ve bought an old Volks pattern book, but I’m looking for more. Her body is so big comparatively to the dolls now. I know it’s kind of a long shot as it seems this isn’t really the most popular body type doll anymore but any extra variety would be nice. Thanks
I use (and adapt) the ones from the three Vcolks pattern books.. I mean once you have a basic bodice patttern that fits, for example, you can use it as the jump off point to adapt to other styles of garment: See if you can get a hold of the other two pattern books. That will give you a bit more variety of patterns to work with. Teddy
Those are really lovely dresses. I have the first pattern book, but I wasn’t sure what’s in the other two. I looked to see if there was a preview somewhere, but no luck. It’s funny because when I finally decided to pick up sewing in 2013 I was frustrated because there were only Sd10 and 13 body type patterns and I had Dollfie dreams. Now it’s flipped, it’s nice to have the fitted patterns but those proportions are so far off they don’t help for the SD10 at all. Thank you for the suggestion!
I don't rememebr what order they came out in but i have a red one, a beige one, and a photocopy of the patterns from a black one that I don't actually own (borrowed it from a friend - none of the instructions are in English anyway so I just use the pattern pieces) I thin k the red and the beige were the first two? Let me know which one you have and I can look out the other one to give you an idea of what it contains. Teddy
I have Volks dress making book 1 it has a Kira? On the front in a dress with a straw hat. Dress Making Book for Super Dollfie Vol. 1
, OK, that's the beige one, so red must be number 2 and black must be number 3 I'll look for my copy of hte res one and see what it has for you, and see if I can find the patterns from the black one too. Teddy
You might want to look at older pattern companies that started out when SD10s occupied a bigger percentage of the market - like GraceFaerie Ptterns. You'd have to sift throguh the patterns to see which ones are specifially fitted on the SD 10 body, but there are some, like these: gracefaerie designs: Pattern #34 Serafuku gracefaerie designs: Pattern #4 Champagne for Sylvie Teddy
That’s what I was looking for, these older pattern companies, I remember seeing this stuff everywhere now they’re harder to find.
I don't recall is Designs By Jude did/do any SD10 size specifically of if they just did generic 1/3 size stuff. I don't think Adams-Harris did/do specificaly SD10 patterns. Teddy
That’s awesome thank you! Now I’ll hunt around for pictures of the patterns, but it’s a great place to start looking, thank you!
I haven't used these as they're not quite my style but I saw them browsing Yahoo!オークション - kis********さんの出品リスト And a couple here: peta-peta | 同人誌通販のアリスブックス (Doujin Online Shop) and free ones by same maker if you scroll a little: peta-peta
