Sugarble Limiteds discussion part 1

Kavarr -- I adore your nagas! I'm trying not to copy... but it's going to be tough once I get my Emerald tail boy home! He's going to have a green wig, though. Hopefully both my guys will look different enough, even though they've got green and purple tails. Purple is my favorite color, but wow, that emerald color is cool, too! I couldn't resist when I heard they were on sale!

 

I am really glad I got them asunai. You may still find one on the marketplace so don't give up on it!
I think it's great we have similar tastes April! That purple is just stunning and i'm sure you will love the emerald

 

Didn't someone say they ordered after the sale had ended? Maybe asunai should ask Sugable if there are any left?

And yes, after a big sale like this, there are bound to be some people who either don't bond, or find other dolls they decide they want more... there is a big chance that some will find their way onto the Marketplace.

Kavarr-- your naga-boys will always be first in my book! They totally inspired me from the first time I saw them. It's so different seeing the company photos, which got me interested, and seeing owner-photos.

I wouldn't bet on receiving a shipping email... I didn't get one for my pair, and several others in the waiting room thread have mentioned not getting notices on their dolls either.

 

I didn't get a shipping notice either :/ just a sudden customs letter that they had my little naga OTL

Oh my, I finally find a naga bjd and they've stopped making them D: I really hope their new doll line has nagas as I have a mighty need!

 

@Epicari -- I hope Sugarble will make more Nagas, too. But do try and check the Marketplace here--or maybe put up a WantToBuy, if that doesn't happen. There are not a lot of the nagas running around, and they are all in different colors... but you never know, there might be one you like for sale sometime.

@Mitya -- I'm sorry, but I'm terrible at identifying sculpts! (I don't think it's either of mine: Adrian #3, Patrick #2)

Hmmm... did I forget to post here? I got my Emerald Tail Naga boy back in mid-September 2016... I haven't finished him (as in making jewelry for him--yes it's taking me FOREVER!).



I'm going to dress him similarly to my other boy, a Dark Purple Tailed Naga--

 

Just wondering, when are Sugarble coming back? I really hope this won't be like it was with Dream of Doll...

 

I don't think there has been any official news so far. They will need to have entirely new body sculpts, since they have stopped the old body... it may take a while. OR... it is difficult to say! Maybe they will stop like DoD? I hope not, but it is always possible with all companies...

 

I can't believe how long it has been since I got on here. Time just got away from me. I love seeing some new faces too.

Not sure what sculpt that is @Mitya. I only have Patrick/Rudy and it does not look like mine.

Your boys are looking wonderful @april. I love how there hair matches their tails. You now I am worse than you as I have still not made my little guys any jewellery. I think I may be soon though as I am getting a couple of Soom merboys and will want to make something for them too. Lots of wonderful tails to play with

 

@Kavarr How lucky are you to have snagged some Soom merboys! He's on my list.

I still haven't made Nassano jewellery either. But he is wearing a Soom outfit so it's not too bad for him. I really need to take some new pics of him, too.

 

Do take some as I would love to see him in his outfit.
I really need to make a trip to buy some things like beads etc...

I have a ton of beads and findings. I just never see to find the time to actually get around to making stuff *sigh*.

 

Yup, i'll have to keep an eye out on the marketplace for a white one, it'll give me some time to save up as all these new year/ spring events have been great for me but no so good on the wallet XD

 

I've been in contact with Sugarble on-and-off since October. They are around, just busy working on a new doll line!

I'll post any updates I may hear from them here. They promised to contact me again later this month so... hopefully I can share more news soon!

Wow! Explosion of activity! I like it! --And maybe it will get me going on fixing up my Emerald naga boy. He's been sitting on the couch doing nothing all this time (waiting for me to do something).

@Kavarr -- But your naga boys look so adorable just as they are! They don't need jewelry! --But I'm sure they'll look fantastic if they do get some. --The jewelry makes me worried that mine'll get all scraped up, and it's more of a pain to keep them all straight on him. But I DO like the look...
--Oh, and the Soom mers! Lucky you! I wish I had some. Those tails are just lovely. They remind me of the nagas with the colors and the clear resin, actually.
--I just spotted some green colored beads at a Tuesday Morning store for 99cents the other day, so hopefully I'll get some stuff made for my Emerald naga soon...

@Iron_Dog -- Always great to see your boy! That outfit is perfect for him. ...I've got a ton of beads and fittings hanging about, but I rarely get around to doing something with them, also. And I never seem to have all the right kind of pieces when I DO! agh. (but I just found some green beads, so that will help)

@Epicari -- I've definitely seen a couple up on the Marketplace before... but they are still pretty rare. It can't hurt, though. But hopefully Sugarble will make more nagas!

@PeppermintPocky --Oh, I hoped someone here might know more about what Sugarble is doing! That's fantastic. It's good to know they are busy with new sculpts. Definitely tell them that we hope they make more nagas, too. --And thanks for liking my naga-boys. I really need to do more with them, poor neglected things...!

 

I had admired the Sugarble nagas for a while. But now I'm not so sure if nagas are my cup of tea. But I kinda regret I didn't go for the The Mirror naga with either the black or white tail. The Mirror naga would have fitted so well in with the fantasy, underworld, faery realm and shinigami family that I have.

I love Sugarble's dolls very much so I'd be very sad if what happened to DOD would happen to them. I'm so happy to hear they are working on a new doll line

I was lucky enough to snag a couple of white naga tails before they were discontinued. Sadly I didn't think to buy to upper bodies too, so now I'm in hybrid hell :/

Been looking at DC but they're either too wide or too narrow in the hips for it to work.. any suggestions ?

Also, I can't wait to see their new creations , they always have such great designs!

 

Hmm... I know the Sugarble cuties were on the slimmer side. Perhaps a Momocolor tiny? You may need to go large on the hips and do some modding. Good luck!

 

If their new designs include full animal body parts, like FL RealFee line, I might be in trouble

 

Thanks! I'll definitely look into them. I'm okay with a little modding, I'd prefer subtractive modding though, so I don't need to colour match any additives.
Planetdoll was also another choice, but they might not be back from their hiatus . .
Oh well, here's hoping that the the bums of some of the closest matching dolls might even out the 'empty' spaces.

Oh definitely ! Though I the keep their body aesthetic and don't make them as adolescent as realfees. But do give me more snakes and angry mermaids pls sugarble.

 

I have a planet doll I can compare. I have a spare Mori but I need to check what color it is.

 

Howdy, folks! I got an email from Sugarble---they put up a handful of dolls on their website today that is leftover stock from their old event.

I just spent all my money on another doll yesterday or else I'd place an order, LOL.

Anyway, I wanted to share the news in case they have a color combo someone here would like. They can be found under the Event Sales tab. They have a few overstock heads, too.

Supply/colors are VERY limited. Good luck!

 

Oh, that is so cool, PeppermintPocky! I went to look and they've got tails, heads and bodies... but limited in color choices. I do hope some people can find a match. The prices are still pretty good, I think.

Congrats Epicari! I just had a look and everything is showing up as sold out. I wondered if the sold out thing is old and you can still order. Did it show as sold out when they let you order?

 

I ordered the bits from the Event Sale page, I think the bits listed there are what they have left

 

I'm so glad I saw this, because I've not been receiving Sugarble emails for some reason but I've been regretting not getting a naga tail with the doll I bought last year so I'm really exctied to say I just ordered a white tail! I also got my hopes up when I saw the no.7 face in purebright as a choice, which I also have since regretted passing on, but I think it might have gotten snapped up...

And @Kavarr yes, go the "event sale" page and it has one listing each for body, tail, and head, with a drop-down menu of the available colors/sculpts. They seem to be going fast though.

 

Thanks @Epicari and @Kittzel. I am safe as it was the dark violet tail I had been thinking to grab. I know a few people have been asking about Naga tails on BJD Addicts so will pass the info on if someone has not done it already.

 

For anyone considering, the Meyo face is honestly super cute.

Especially as Sugarble are still being very cagey about whether or not they are planning to have nagas in their new line up so wanted to pick up those bits just in case they're not going to continue with them. It was super helpful that @PeppermintPocky said about the last chance sale

My Sumire (girl body + no.4 sculpt in purebright) is sort of Japanese-folklore themed, so I'm planning to paint the white naga tail with touches of red to resemble Nuregami from the game Okami.

 

So great to see that people got another chance at the nagas! --And the wait time should be good, since they are selling parts they already have. Congrats, everyone!

 

ohh that would be so lovely! Also saw their current stock sale, but have 'sadly' decided that I'd love to find another upper body that fits (yay for modding).

@Natawik She's gorgeous ! For a moment I regretted not getting a tail in black , but then I remembered they are near impossible to paint gradients on without an airbrush xD

Seriously though , what paint/pigment did you use?

Any info/speculation on shipping for this batch? I assume since they were "left-over stock" that everything would be in stock and therefore shipping soon...?

 

So far i've not had any shipping notification so don't know if they've dispatched any of the orders yet ^^

 

Update: I posted in the support section asking about projected shipping, and they replied that "your order has been shipped" just a couple hours ago. Not totally sure whether they meant just mine, or other orders too. But in any case, seems like things should be moving soon!

 

I didn't get an email, but I signed in and my order is "on shipping" and has a tracking number that is working!

 

I'm trying to remember if Sugarble is one of those companies who don't send out Shipping Notices! -- They might be!

 

Ahh, I forgot to login before I put the payment through so think I got checked out as a guest so not sure how I find my tracking number if they don't email them? (A bit concerned as last time something got stopped by customs, I didn't receive a payment letter as parcelforce sent the letter to the wrong address. I was only found out because I checked the tracking I saw that it had been sitting at the local depot for 10 days so popped in and sorted it out. But if that happens again and I can't check the tracking then it could end up getting sent back while i'm twiddling my thumbs thinking it's still in transport :O)

 

If you have your Order number somewhere, you should just try contacting Sugarble about it, Epicari. I'm sure they'd help you out.

 

@april Yup, hopefully it'll be on my paypal invoice so now I know things have been shipped then I'll give them a poke about it

 

If you go to the order status page when you are not signed in there are fields you can fill out to get the order status.

Arrived today! Had to restring it as it came strung with super-thick, super-tight elastic for shipping, but they included stringing instructions and the correct elastics so it wasn't hard. They also a CoA for the tail and some free gifts which are... well...



But, don't look a gift horse in the mouth, right? lol. They sent these pink sneakers and the gold geta (which I actually already bought last time I placed an order... oh well). They're really cute, just obviously not chosen with this purchase in mind haha.

 

I'd be interested in knowing too as want to add a touch of gold to mine

*LOL* Glad you've received your doll. Im curious which face sculpt did you get? And did it already have a face-up or did you add that?

I had a similar odd choice from RS once. I ordered 2 Bao's (both male) and they not only sent me a very obviously girl wig, it was also not even a size that the Bao's could wear. It's a very nice wig but since I don't own any girls (nor plan to), it sits in the bag it came in taking up space amongst my doll things.
