Have everyone got his Echo? I've got mine, and they already have their bodies.
But only one of the two has her wig (the boy is waiting I made his own). Here is Charybde, the girl:

 

@Follow-the-Wind . Wow! Of course, she is yours so she is beyond incredible. Her face up, her wig, everything about is sassy and perfect. Her eyes just pop perfectly. What is her body? It looks like such a great proportion match and skin tone.
I totally missed Echo. I wish that was not the case because she is a dream❤️

I realized I never showed my ANS Qing Wan here! I mod her horns, as I didn't like that much her bug-like horns. And that way she fits better in my oni crew.

Apparently ANS sold two new bodies they made. Although no announcement was made here when they went on sale.

 

@Cloudedmind I forgot about ANS bodies! Someone showed me the boy body in progress, if I remember well. But I didn't knew neither there was more than one body, nor they were already completed and sold.

I haven’t been online for ages… and I just realized that my Mr. Rabbit is still a floating head for a decade now. Theoretically he has a DC body but I don‘t like it as much as I thought to. So I‘m thinking about another body for him. I‘ve seen a Vings 68cm body and really like the proportions. Not sure if I will give it a try…

 

@bonita I've totally been in the "Opps I've had this floating head for 10 years" camp. I have a Vings 68cm body and I find it to be a pretty nice body.

@Follow-the-Wind It kind of reminds me of Raven's head, but the eyes on Raven feel narrower then on this head.

 

I checked out the faceup artist's instagram and i think i found the same doll? it was labelled as 螣蛇/Winged snake.

Funny how it ended up being Winged Snake because I'd thought of it as a possibility, as I own the snake version of the head, but something seemed off to me. Angles and faceups can really change a heads look.

 

Has anyone had issues with ANS' resin quality, either yellowing or chipping/breakage? I was looking into their 66cm girl body and I see some mentions of both on Chinese SNS, but barely any concrete evidence of either. I also think all the issues have been with a resin type that they've since discontinued (plain/pure white- They're currently only selling imported resin which I don't think has the same problems).

Also!! If anyone has their 66 girl body, how do you like it, and how's the posability?

 

Astro, I purchased Another Secret Snow Queen head (this was some time ago when she was first out). I ordered white (I like my dolls to be very white). What I received was a distinctly yellow resin head.

I was so upset that I never bought from them again. I still have the head and have never used it.

 

@Astro It's true that long ago (like, more than 10 years ago) ANS resin batch used to be uneven. You could get a NS yellow head or a really more pink one (I don't know for their WS, I bought on WS until more recently and it was, like described, similar to Volks WS).
I had no quality problems with the most recent heads I bought from them - and I do have a lot of their heads. I can say nothing about their bodies. I never bought or saw one of their bodies.

I ordered a tan 71cm Jinwu with the current international preorder. I will have things to say in 180 days ^_^

edit: I forgot to mention that their old resin yellowed quickly. I have a banana yellow Narcissus. She is 12 years old now, but her color changed quite quickly. Same for a WS Acheron I bought second hand. He is so yellowed that you could think he is NS yellow now ^^'

 

@Follow-the-Wind Thanks! The issues I've seen so far are quite recent (both chipping and yellowing), only from several months ago. But I think both of the posts I saw mentioned it being the pure white resin, which they've since discontinued, so I'm curious if either are an issue with their environmental resin. Hopefully someone with a recent body in environmental resin can chime in with any opinions.

 

@Astro I was curious about the resin discontinuations. Hopefully it does mean they're addressing/aware of QC issues.

I just put the 68cm female body on layaway I hope there's no resin or chipping issues (though honestly i wouldn't be surprised if they yellow quickly just based on price point). I've struggled to find a well-priced body that will work for my LLT Edria, who has a 9+cm neck hole and generally large head. She looks bobble-headed on every other body I tried. Here's hoping that 15cm shoulder width does the trick!!

 

The price point for this international order is standard if not a little on the higher end for Chinese domestic market BJD prices (and matches up with the prices listed on their Taobao). None of the bodies I've ordered from Chinese dollmakers have yellowed quickly, nor should they, so it's honestly an issue if these do yellow or chip. I think I'm gonna sit this order period out, but will definitely keep an eye on them since I'm still pretty interested in the 66 girl body. I've been eyeing it ever since I saw this Volks Rinon on one.

If anyone happened to get bodies in V Normal or V White to put Volks heads on, I'd be interested in seeing how well the resin color and consistency matches! I want to put my Volks Cristal on the 66 body if the imported resin doesn't have yellowing or chipping issues.

 

Oh, really? It seems on the cheaper end for a 68cm body to me, but I don't massively keep up with Chinese companies.

My April Story body has yellowed relatively quickly. I'm not saying it's ok for that to happen, or that it's not an issue, I just wouldn't be shocked Pikachu if it happens. But fingers crossed this isn't like that. I went for V-normal.

 

The 68cm bodies I've bought from Chinese dollmakers have ranged from about $300-350, so it's a little on the higher end of things. Still really reasonably priced though. I'd be surprised if I bought a body from a well known Chinese dollmaker and it yellowed quickly, so it's definitely not the norm.

I hope the resin quality is really nice! I'm interested to see how ANS' imported resin looks compared to Volks', since I think Volks' resin has more translucency than most "normal" resins, but I also wouldn't consider it to look as translucent as most environmental resin mixes I see.

 

Any comparisons of ANS59 body with other SD or SDGr girl bodies?

 

There's one I remember against Maskcat and Volks SDGr on Bilibili. I'm not updated on AnS bodies so it might be an old one.

The ANS tan (the hand) is one year old, and I feel like it is really less orange than when I got it. The fairyland tan (the feet) is some years old, and is less pinkish brown than new. So the two colors currently look not sooooo different, but new they were a lot more different. I hope this helps!
Also I don't know how the light tan from ANS looks like. Here it is tan, as you asked.

 

I really appreciate this. It's too bad they're not better matched. Would be cool if a Fairyland tan head could go on an ANS59 tan body, for example.

Calling for anyone who has ANS69 male body ... may I ask some questions about authentication? I'm hoping to buy ANS69 off Xianyu, China's secondhand market, and I want to familiarize myself with the authenticating marks for this doll - CoA, box/packaging, any marks on the body. (Not looking for headplates as I'm buying only a body for a hybrid.) If you're able to show me how authentication looks like on your doll, please DM me - thank you!

Domestic-only preorders for the ANS59 and ANS 61 bodies are opening up with the new Caroline head, but ANS have said on IG that international buyers can contact them via email.
I was umming and ahhhing about a body for my longest lasting floating head (Angell-Studio Hua Rong) but the ANS61 was my first choice. Hopefully I can snag one for her!

Edit: I have ordered the body via Taobao thanks to ANS's help and a friend's Taobao expertise.
