50–65cm Dolls Starting on a new doll

    1. And I'm doing the head now. Do you think the proportions look right? I'm going for a more realistic-looking human head.

    2. I like the mouth expression :)
      You may want to close the eyelids from the top and shorten its length if you want more realism, because although that is a beautiful sculp, she/he barely differs from the deformed (in the cutest and most beautiful sense!!!) of other BJDs out there. And give her/him some eyelids.. puff it up! doesn't matter if it's not meant to be asian, everyone has eyelids!!
      sorry if that was too much critique... -_-" I really hope this doll becomes one of those rare beauties! realistic yet gorgeous! :D

    3. She (???) is very cute so far. :)

      If you want he to be semi-realistic, I would suggest giving her a little more chin. That is a very common BJD aethetic, to shorten the distance between the bottom of the lips and the end of the chin.

    4. Do you mean shorten or lengthen the lower lip-chin distance?

      Anyway what I have planned for this is a Malkavian look, from the White Wolf Vampire series. She's supposed to eventually look a bit insane, and I'm thinking of having half the face showing a grin and the other half looking unhappy. Nothing radical, this look will be very subtle.

    6. Ooh I like her so far ^^ The overall shape of the head and proportions look really nice, I think it already looks more realistic than a lot of BJDs out there.
