Thanks, Taralphiel =^-^= As much as I like both the SG and KSG sizes, this should definitely make things a little easier to search size specific information for these gorgeous girls.

Yes I do agree that it will be easier to find specific information for each size will be easier separating them into different threads . I have chosen to get a Moe with default face up in white skin ill order her during the next preorder^^

 

Oo, you lucky thing, Yurikun. Moe is gorgeous! I think I love all of SQ Labs' toothy girls' the most, but it's hard not to find something lo love in all those gorgeous heads of theirs. Thank you for introducing me to their gorgeous girls!

I would love to buy Ren right now but with 2 layaways in progress and I've already committed myself to being part of a local FL GO I'll hold off until they are all done rather than stretch things a little too thin over the Christmas / Summer break over here.

 

Hi nice with a new tread yurikun Moe is really cute i hope you will soon get her. jencat yes it is smart to hold out, i am sure you will get a Ren in the future. i also agree that it is easy to love all the sq labs heads, i like their style.

Hehe...well I might be holding out for now but it didn't stop me asking for a total for pre-order Ren + parts yesterday, and received a response very quickly too, so brilliant communication from SQ! Now to plot (or dream) about how I can come up with the extra cash to buy her without damaging my summer holiday budget :P In reality, though, I think I'd be looking at about late February at least before I can think about ordering her, though. In the mean time I'm loving the spam. All these girls are just too cute

 

Taralphiel, I look forward to seeing your girl when she's done =^-^= Mind you, being in Sydney, you understand all too well the fun of using Sealants in the humidity this time of year so I can understand if you're holding off doing anything at the moment.

Incidentally, I asked SQ about layaway as I wasn't aware they offered layaway options and happily discovered they do with a minimum starter paymment of 20-50% Veeeeery tempting!

 

Ooo, Taralphiel, now I'm definitely interested! Do you have a particular J-rock / Visual Kei style look in mind for her?

I don't think I'd have the guts to try doing the face-up for my future Ren either as my style doesn't lend itself to the bold graphic lines of the anime / manga style look I'd like to keep my girl in (I can't draw a straight like to save my life, but I can sketch one perfectly and can paint one if I use very very tiny fine strokes that take forever to do so I'm not exacty a very speedy artist when it comes to line art).

For my Ren, I think I'll style her a little after Neko from K (See http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DTLo6yEr5IM/UGuhPDUB4BI/AAAAAAAAUmw/Wb1CPW6U1j4/s1600/K_Keyart_400x566.jpg), complete with the pink hair, bells, bi-coloured eyes and a thing for woolly sweater dresses but I want to make her a little more of a Nekomimi girl, complete with ears and tail...plus for her eyes, use those gorgeous slitted EC series resin cats eyes SQ labs make...I'm thinking one EC-03 or 06 and one EC-08.

 

Hi she wears a hoodie from Crazykimochi on the marked place in msd size it is tight in her chest area. i think other loose types of MSD(not slim) clothes could work.

 

@ Taralphiel, ooo...that sounds like it'd be fun! I'm wondering if there could be some good Obitsu 50cm clothes out there that could suit then as I'm assuming they'd be a pretty good fit.

As for the For My Doll wig, I currently have 2 of the 1078 style, and they're gorgeous. I have a 7-8 in mild black and a 9-10 in sweet milk so I can recommend the style 100%! I've also had a longer 9-10" Cherry Wine and it's the most gorgeous colour! I'd have to say FMD wigs would have to be my favourites...followed closely by Luts & Leeke, but the later 2 companies are not as well made when it comes to prominent bangs like the FMD 1078 has.

MacaronTea, that's a great shot of Kuroneko there. Wow, it looks like the SQ girl's bods are wonderful posers, would that be right?

Akatsuki, unfortunately no further information given other than that Layaway is accepted and that the starting deposit is 20-50% of the total. I didn't ask anthing further as I was afraid it would just be too tempting and I would rather fill my other dolly commitments right now than get myself into trouble with another Layaway. It is, however, almost too temping just knowing the option is out there.

 

JenKat - She poses like a dream! I wish they would make a 60cm body that poses this good.

 

I would love that too! As lovely as the 50cm / small SD to large MSD size is I would love to see a larger 60cm version of these girls too. Mind you, without extra care in the jointing there can sometimes be that slight loss of flexibility in a larger body due to the weight of and need for extra resin to support a larger frame anyway, sadly.

 

Such lovely girls you all have!!! I'm planning to get a Moe head on SG body. Does SQ-Lab always have SG body for pre-order, or is it a limited event item? ^^

 

Hi! Can anyone measure the neck of the body or neck hole on their head? I'm really wanting to get a Tachibana head, but I want to stick it on a smaller body (like a MDD?). I'm trying to match measurements! Thank you to you all.

 

Fingers crossed on the sizes then. With Dollmore the clothing fit can vary a lot from time to time depending on the item so I hope to hear whatever you've bought is a good fit. I love ordering from Dollmore (love the free gifts...pitty they stopped sending the cute rice cracker star cookies though) so the more I know there are items there that ARE a good fit the better! Please post lots of pics when your order arrives

I'd be very interested in knowing this too. There are plenty of larger MSD bodies that could potentially be compatible. Is there anyone who has tried body-swapping any of their SQ girls onto MSD bods with any success?

I feel lucky to got her to be one of my family. I like 3 molds of SQ-lab - Ren, Iris and Tsubaki... and Ren is the most favorite for me.

Tsubaki is the one of my favorite. I like her feeling which is kind and gentle.

I like that wig with curly behind. I want also to have short wig for my Akiko.
Let's see when her face up all done, I think that red colour will go so well with her.

I seem to have caught DD-fever from some other gals in my local group, so I've been looking into the vinyls... of course, SQ Labs isn't actually vinyl, but whatever. (Cute, anime aesthetic - it works.)

Has anyone ever painted one of these heads up as a boy? I kind of like the idea of a Kirie or Misty-boy. (and a girl Tsubaki, she's too cute.)

Hey everyone. I have an Iris/w body on layaway and I plan on making her a character from Strawberry Panic Suzumi Tomao. I ordered her through LordNoir. I've always enjoyed DD, even though I don't have one yet... but I really love the size and material used in Sqlabs heads and bodies. And the many different head sculpts is a great plus too.

 

About buy the outfit on her. I'm lucky that here have local shop which it have alot of brand. I can go to try on her. This is small list which I try on and it's good on SQ-lab body!!

Nine9style: MSD size - ballelina skirts, short, T-shirt (with open neck) all fit but it will come shorter in sleeve and body length on her.
Alice's collection: T-shirt which is too big for my MNF but fit quite well on sq-lab body. For short I can't pass thru her hip. For shoes with lolita style wide in front and boot are fit well without sock.
Angel Studio: for t-shirt for MSD is too small for her. For shoes, Boot on MSD is fit on her.

I had also try on 1/3 size, all are way too big. I can't use at all. Only sock you can use it but will more length on her.

 

Oh, I can add also something to the list!

TTYA sweaters in MSD size fit great! Also some socks in MSD size that are meant for 'beefy' msd legs (Volks girls and such) fit nicely!
At the moment my Moe is wearing a Monstrodesign MSD pants now, but they are a little tight fit. I am waiting on an SD13 pants from TTYA, I'll let you guys know how those fit on her

 

I have one. ^^ My Shining Armor is an Iris on an Obitsu 60cm male body. He has more of an androgynous face-up.

i've been stalking SQ-lab website for a while , and i'm planning to buy one but i noticed its like DD a vinly ?

is it harder to take care than resin ? like without MSC ?

 

Vinyl is much harder to take care of and stains super quick. Resin however does not and if it does the magic eraser should get the residue off.

 

I'm kind of popping in here as I'm planning for three lovely SQLabs heads in the future. A Luka, Haruka and Ranka~ I was just wondering if I could ask any of you who have these heads if they take Shooks to attach to a body or if they use some other system? I'm a little bit new to the anime-aesthetic dolls, but I've finally decided to take the plunge! *nervous*

 

SQlab dolls are made of resin, unlike DD dolls who are made of vinyl. Vinyl stains very quick but is lightweight (so if you like to take your doll a lot with you, maybe you'd like DD's better). Resin doesn't stain as quick and just like Porcelainrabbitdoll said, you can take the stains of with magic eraser. But resin is heavier then Vinyl.

The heads of SQlab can be used with the peg system of the DD's and Obitsu's, but also with the normal hook system

I think this makes my plans official though Might be a while before they'll come into action (probably later this year) but I can't wait! *dances about*

 

I actually just had a customer commission a Kirie and Misty head to be Kaname and Zero from Vampire Knight. I'll get a couple of photos to post here as a reference once they are finished.

 

A bit ago I found this picture of 3 custom DD's where 2 were as guys (I guess male obitsu body?). If it's possible with DD's it sure is possible with SQlab

Spamming this thread a bit more, but my TTYA stuff for my Moe came in yesterday. The pants in SD13 (girl) fit really nice in length! Around her butt it's a little loose, but I actually like it that way.

 

Nice Moe.. I like her outfit. TTYA is one of favorite brand but I never have my own. I think I need to try one.
