Wigs Sponge Twists Wig Q

Mar 23, 2022

    1. One of my OCs has sponge twists or sponge curls, and I don't know if that's possible with a traditional wig, so I was considering sculpting one from air dry clay and then flocking it. Has anyone tried anything like that? Can you think of any pros or cons? Or better ways to go about it? Here is what sponge curls look like:

    2. Does a hard wig cap with a very short cut of wool thread and some flockage for the sides is more adapted for the effect that you want ?

Btw, I haven't seen a air dry clay wig looking like this, maybe the result would be really great ! I'm looking forward to see the result ! (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)

    3. That might work, but I am unsure of how to get the twist effect for the curls.

    4. What about crocheted knots using a nubby wool?

    5. Maybe Wensleydale sheep locks?

    6. @cthulu, that's something I hadn't considered. It might work. I saw a kind of dark mesh wig cap that I might be able to crochet into.

@Swampruler I looked up Wensleydale locks, and it looks like those could be a possibility as well!

      Thanks for the suggestions!
