Hm, for me the Spirit website (english) works just fine.

 

The English site is back up today, but was down for 3-4 days before that. In fact, I just ordered Camellia!!!

I certainly will post pictures! I don't know how slow/fast Spiritdoll tends to be, as I've never ordered from them. Fortunately, I had some money saved up (after staring longingly at Gardenia for ages), so I was able to pay her off in one shot. Anyone have any rough idea of wait times?

As for the kimonos, they do look gorgeous in the photos. I've made some doll kimonos before, so I'm going to try to make one for Camellia myself.

 

Hmm, wait times - I have ordered very often from them so far, mostly bodies. It varied between 1 and 2 months, but I read that others had to wait longer sometimes.

 

Hi, I just thought I'd check here to see how long everyone is waiting for the larger dolls....I ordered Snowdrop MSD size 11 weeks and no sign of shipping yet. I guess it will be at least 3 months for me. Good luck, waiting is hard.

 

Yes, waiting is hard. I hope it's only a few months wait for me. I'll keep people posted when I eventually get an update...

 

I waited 3 months for my Herculean last August. They used to have a comment on their order form saying that dolls only took 4 weeks, but they updated all their doll listings to say 2 months or more at the bottom. Three months seems like a good estimate. I can't wait to see owner pics of the Dolce dolls!

 

You're right! I just looked more closely at the website, and it says for Camellia that the production time is 2-3 months. I don't think Spiritdoll is that big of a company, so I understand it takes time to make the dolls...

 

So I was curious, they do ship to the US, right?
I couldn't find the shipping Destination list.
I'm hoping to get a proud body for my Luts Delf the Moon head. Is there a post that shows their normal skin tone anywhere?

They calculate the shipping automatically when you enter or choose a saved address on the checkout screen.

Hi, I saw this thread and thought I would ask if anyone has any photos, or have seen any, of a height comparison for the Spiritdoll Herculean body and a 60 cm girl(any company or scupt). I really really love Spritdoll Pine and want to couple him with my Elfdoll Lydia, but I'm worried about the size difference. I've already asked Spiritdoll if it was possible to have Pine's head on a Proud size body, but they said the head was too big and wouldn't fit on the Proud body.. Sooo, I'm trying to get used to the thought of the Herculean size body, but would like to see if I can get some reference photos...

 

This site is really useful for that sort of thing. Otherwise, I have a couple 60cm girls and a Herculean and I can take photos.

Edit to add photos: Pardon the terrible lighting and flash. Michelle is a 61cm 5StarDoll with her flat feet. As you can see, her heel feet don't add much to her height when she's standing that badly. Cedar is holding her up. His shoes give him maybe 1 cm. They were such a pain to get on that I'm not keen to remove them. Perhaps humorously given your interest in Pine, leibrads, my Cedar has Pine's faceup by mistake. I only asked for his freckles, but Pine's "lip gloss" really does not suit Cedar.


When standing, the height difference is a little extreme, depending on what you're going for.

When sitting, however, the difference works just fine, in my opinion.

The size difference is pretty extreme when they're standing...I guess I'll have to make sure to get Shiori's heeled feet and keep them on her when they're together. ^_^' I really love Pine's sculpt and face up and was considering trying to get his head with the Proud body anyway and see if I can mod it to fit. -_- I would hate to have to alter either the head or the body (would rather leave them as they were made -_-) but might have to go for it... My only other option is to get Pine with the Herculean body and find a replacement for Shiori(my elfdoll Lydia)... decisions decisions..

I had a horrible time deciding between Pine and Cedar. They're both amazing. I would worry the Herculean heads would look a little bobble-headed on a smaller body, but I'm trying to stay off the Spiritdoll site so I won't check measurements. They did an Anniversary event starting June 1 last year (free jointed hands for Cedar!), and I'm hoping they do another this year. I want to buy some of their smaller dolls and am hoping for free gifts. If you can wait a few weeks, you might want to see what they do.

 

I am a bit worried about that, but I guess I'll give it a shot and see what it looks like and if it's too big I'll just get 2 dolls out of it. ^_^ I've got some time before I make my order, so maybe if they have another event, hopefully with jointed hands. ) I'll be able to shoot for that event. ^^
I've already bookmarked their site along with my other favorites. ^_^ I will have to make a better doll budget so I can get snowdrop as well, I think she's adorable..

 

Hey guys! I'm looking to purchase a Celtis ( ) I was wondering, on average, how long does Spiritdoll normally take?

 

AnchixDPx, I have no idea on their dolls but I have had two clothing orders in with them since 2/2014 & 3-2014 without a word from them. I emailed them today asking what was taking so very long on these clothing items. We will see if they reply?

I'm thinking about getting the proud V.2 female body for a floating head I have. How easy is it to dress these girls? Should I be looking under SD16 sizes or something larger to accommodate the wider waist & hips of the proud body. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I got a shipping notice for my Camellia. The wait until shipping was 10.5 weeks, so pretty much in line with what they say on the website. I'm excited!

 

I ordered the geta feet and geta for my This Alice. I got my sipping notice today also!

 

Good idea! I've been planning to make my own geta, but I'm not sure how they'll turn out...

 

I am seriously considering getting a Celtis. I've owned a lot of dolls, but this would be my first 1/3 scale so I'm a little apprehensive. He is terribly fabulous though and I am all about the tan resin option.

Wow, Laelen. He's lovely! It's always great to see owner pictures of blank dolls. It really gives lets me see what the doll could be, you know? The proud body is just beautiful!
I've been looking for just about every picture I can find of him so if I need something in particular, I'll let you know.

Edit: Also, I had no idea they had jointed hands.. Because that's so happening.

 

xD I'm happy to report that of the two jointed hands I do own [soom and spirit], spiritdoll's hands are the more fabulous of the pair. The tension is great and the stringing system is intuitive. I happened to be lucky enough to grab mine during an event. I'm just floored by their quality and attention to detail. The nonjointed hands are really beautiful too *___* 33

Yes, their English website is www.spiritdoll.net. They recently sent out a notice that they were having problems with the site but that it is being fixed. I would recommend waiting until it is back up. I've heard stories of people not receiving legit dolls when ordering from elsewhere.

fairygirl I am, as always. ^^ I've been kept awfully busy though. Not much time for the resin-folk, unfortunately! I actually just got a perfect wig for my Spiritdoll Celtis so I'm going to hopefully have him photographed nicely soon ;u;.

 

Their new website is already up. The address is the same and everything looks exactly the same as it used to. You just have to create a new account if you had one for the old site.

 

I have a spiritdoll Daffodil named Empress and today I took a bare corset and skirt and did a lace inlay on the bodice and skirtand beaded the whole thing.



Also, peapod doll feet work well on spiritdoll type 1 girl bodies you just have to carve out a little bit on the inner leg.

I had a friend point out that they strongly recommend jointed hands be purchased at the same time if buying tan dolls. I'm glad she mentioned it because I'll get them now for sure.
Is there any recent tan Spiritdoll kicking around, out of curiosity? It's not going to change my mind, I am just wondering what the resin color looks like currently.

Yes, generally for any company and purchasing dolls in general, you'd want to order a coloured resin part at the same time of a doll, to ensure that there is little to no variation in coloring between batches of resin.

I've had to do some resin matching in the past for a few dolls, but never with tan so I guess I just wasn't thinking about it! It's just been a while since I got an actual doll. I'm very excited and still a little intimidated when it comes to getting a 70cm fellow. It's going to be a new adventure!

It'll be awesome to see your Celtis once you get him all photo ready.

 

I too was considering a tan cletis I can't wait to see yours! he's such a nice sculpt. Are you getting the default faceup or a custom?

My Celtis came in a few weeks ago too! He's out for a face-up and getting his jointed hands blushed at the moment and I've started making his wig.. so hopefully he'll be coming together soon.
This was just a quick cell shot I took the night I boxed the head up. The wig's very in progress.

 

His tan is really cool, and I really like his face, somehow he reminds me of Venitu.
